Dossier K. is a hard hitting
crime thriller, reuniting
the buddy cops from the
internationally acclaimed The
Alzheimer Case (aka The
Memory of a Killer). This time
they are a bit older, a bit more
cautious, and struggling with
the ‘new approach’ to crime
control.
Dossier K. plunges us into a
violent clash between two
worlds: the Albanian mountain
clans trying to hold on to their
ancient codes and a modern
metropolis desperately protecting
its brittle privileges from invasion.
Caught in the eye of that storm
are a young Albanian on a
mission-of-honour to avenge his father and a
lovesick cop dead set on stopping the blood
feud. By the time both find out they’ve been
manipulated from the outset, they are on a fatal
collision course.
Dossier K. is a modern revenge story with the
intensity of a classic tragedy that will leave
cinema audiences on the edge of their seats.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Born in 1963, Jan Verheyen made his feature debut in 1991 with Boys, a Belgian take on the American teen-pics
of the 80s. Besides being a local box office hit, the film sold to 15 territories. For his next film, The Little Death
(1995), Verheyen crossed the Atlantic. Back in Belgium he directed Everything Must Go! (1996), which earned
both public and critical acclaim in Belgium and at festivals abroad. This was followed by box office successes
Team Spirit (2000), Alias (2002), Team Spirit 2 (2003), Gilles (2005), Missing (2007) and Cut Loose (2008).
He is now preparing his 11th feature film Crazy About Ya. In addition to his career as a director, Verheyen
has experience of almost every aspect of the film business: as a festival organiser-programmer (Knokke-Heist
Film Festival); as a distributor (Independent Films and PolyGram Filmed Entertainment in London); and as a
programme director (private broadcaster VTM). He also writes articles, publishes books, and can regularly be
seen on TV, as a guest on talkshows, presenting Film Night specials and participating in celebrity gameshows.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
