EXTREME
The new EXTREME security system is
specially designed for those countries
requiring an extra security as a result
of a high burglary rate burglaries that
demand an extra security level or
extreme weather conditions caused
by winds of more than 220 km per
hour.
EXTREME SYSTEM
This new system compatible with Blockalum 60 and Segur
EC-60 consists of an special cap and guide that provide an
extra security and resistence to any door or window. The
system provides:
·Extreme secutity, Blockalum 60 system is also
selfblocking.
·Resistance to strong winds of more than 220 km/h.
·High resistance to corrosion.
· Important reduction in home insurace bill.
·Solar protection.
· A careful design and an extensive range of finishings
that suits any façade style.

Roller shutters become an important element at
home, not only as a protection element but also as a
distinguishing factor when trying to make a more
responsable energy consumption.

Nowadays energy is becoming a more every time
unapproachable and expensive good, this leads us to change
our habits and uses and to think even more about energy saving.
So the building envelope becomes of greater importance on
energy saving although we are not aware of it. How many times
do the consumers wonder if their shutters have a good isolating
head box? The IDEA ( Institute of Diversification and Energy
saving) specifies some measures to save energy costs: some
of them related to the building envelope and other building
elements, anothers having to do with systems.

In fact, the building envelope produces the most important
energy looses;. facades, roofs, Windows, boxes and roller
shutters are the most vunerable points allowing the entry
of air flows, the heating of window panes and the increasing
of humidity if we do not count with a good isolation system.
The introduction of measures to improve the buildings thermal
insulation supposes a 30% reduction on energy costs and carbón
dioxide emissions.

3. SUNLIGHT CONTROL
The right use of roller shutters as sun control solutions allows to
reduce energy consumption and the use of cooling systems at
home, Moreover, according to Minessota University Sustainable
Research Center, they allow a 30-50% reduction on home
cooling costs.
The act of rasing and closing the roller shutters can mean the
reduction of temperature in several degrees and a more acoustic
isolation due to the ability to diminish outdoor noises.
In many countries sunlight control and privacy are supplied
by just the installation of a rollIing screen. However this is a
decorative solution that is not able to comply with the roller
shutters functions to this respect.
The use of roller shutters allows a complete privacy from outside
as well as a total regulation of light not only to achieve a full dark
atmosphere but also a cozy one ( due to the microperforation of
PVC and aluminium slats).

DRIVING DEVICES
There are three different driving devices available in the market. The motor that automatically raises and lowers the
roller shutter. The rope winch that makes use of a handle to pull up the shutter and finallly the coiler.

INTRODUCTION
DIFFERENT WAYS OF INSTALLATION
THE COMPACT SYSTEM is the most
widely accepted and implemented
in the market. The shutter headbox
is placed just above the window,
creating a compact block that
simplifies installation. Moreover,
it facilitates the access to inside
mechanism for maintenance and
repairs. This system is compatible
with any type of carpentry in the
market.
MINI SYSTEM or renovation system
is designed to allow the installation of
a shutter where we have previously
a window without a shutter or do
not want to carry out brick works
or we simply do not want to remove
the window. The head box is not
placed aboved the window fitting,
but is installed ouside, in front of the
window or on the façade, simply and
with hardly any brick works.
TUNNEL SYSTEM / BUILT-IN SYSTEM,
It is designed to remain completely
hidden in the building. Once the
installation is finished nothing can
be seen inside or outside the building.
It allows to obtain high levels of both
thermal and acoustic insulation.
Depending on the way of installation
the shutter rolls inside or outside

One of the main characteristics of
Bioclim system is that it allows the
sunlight to come in while being in an
intermediate position.

Elegance and security at home
Blockalum system is the perfect
solution when a high level of security
is required, this is the case with
jeweler’s, Banks and ground floors.
It provides a high security level
thanks to its system of intemediate
jonquils that put pressure on the
guides.
This makes imposible the forced
rising of the sthutter from outside
and thereforce the access.

SELFBLOCKING
The Selfblocking System consists
of a joint or blocking profile placed
between the slats that causes
friction with both sides of the guide
when it turns, thus impeding the
forced rising of the shutter from the
outside.
The following pictures explain the way it works.
The Blockalum system can
be completed with:

2. Security end slat.
When the blind is down the joint or blocking profile puts
pressure on the guide thus impeding the roller shutter to
be pulled up from the bottom.

The new Tunnel box is the evolution
of the traditional built-in box.
Thanks to the peculiarity of its
poliexpan structure, the Tunnel box
provides an excellent thermal and
acoustic insulation.
Furthermore. Its special structure
embeded into the wall allows it to be
hidden from view.
One more advantage is its roller up
capacity, so it is specially indicated
for large shutters no compatible with
traditional boxes.

Convenience and maximum

The motorization is essential
to
achieve
maximum
levels
of efficiency, on one hand the
installation of the motor inside the
box allows neither hole nor opening
to let the air flow leaks out. On the
other hand and the most important
of it, It allows to control the sun care
elements efficiently.
In winter, the lowering of closing
systems at dusk to prevent heat
losses through the windows as well as
to raise them during the day to take
advantage of sun heat and otherwise
in summer allows up to 10% heating
costs saving in winter and a 9º
reduccion of temperature at home in
in summer.

It classifies the boxes in function of the amount of time they remain hermetic as the wind force gradually increases
and it is continuously sprayed out with water. The permeability is higher as the coefficient increases.

It is an element mounted on top of the
