The staff there treated me with dignity, respect, honor and most importantly, love. Thank you to the “long, lean Italian” who was wonderful and always full of joy. “Mrs. Mushy” didn’t fool me as I could see that heart of gold. There was “Sunshine” who enjoyed “picking on me.” “Cookie,” a wonderful and caring woman. There was “Sweet Pea,” who loved her garden. I will never forget my “Little Philippinean” who always made my day. There was another angel with a heart full of love and a young man that seemed to never stop. Thank you to the entire fill-in nurses that aided me along the way as well. You all demonstrated love and courage, as well as passion in what you do. I can’t forget the loving care I received from all of the therapists, doctors and their staff. They gave me their best and always with a smile and displayed confidence as they expressed the proceedings to me and my family. Now comes the greatest angel of them all, my wonderful, caring wife. Without her being there all the way, I would have never made it this far. My wonderful family’s smiles and encouragement also helped me through. Thank you to all my friends for their wonderful support. Thank you from this man who walked the line looking for the crossover to a better Land. This Band of Angels did more than just their jobs. They kept my spirits up as I experienced my darkest times. To all that helped me perform all the essential parts of life, you have my undying gratitude. You all helped me through my transition back to home and I love you all for that.
