A milestone we can
all be proud of.
With the completion of the APV Community Activity Campus, we have taken a
big step in our development, adding a key feature that further distinguishes APV
as a community of quality.
Our more than 8,000-square-foot APV Activity Center includes a Grand
Ballroom, a recreational swimming pool, meeting rooms, concession area and
a toddler splash pad playground. Expansion of the APV Fitness Center includes
new fitness equipment, indoor basketball and volleyball courts, a new outdoor
basketball court and plans for a furture tennis court. There’s something for every
member of our community at our new and expanded facilities!
This brochure highlights the many features and facets of our new APV Community
Activity Campus. It is the latest chapter in our never-ending story:

APV COMMUNITY ACTIVITY CAMPUS
GENERAL INFORMATION
Parking: The primary entrance to all facilities is off of
Marigold Avenue where there is ample parking and
handicap access to each facility.
Entrances: For the convenience of all, the entrances to
each facility are clearly marked and have easy access near
centrally located parking areas.
Hours of Operation: Each facility has separate hours of
operation. Please see the detailed information for each facility.
Access: All APV amenties are available to all residents in
good standing.
Pool, Fitness and Gymnasium Passes: At the Fitness
Center reception desk, all guests will be asked to complete a
pool or gymnasium application, which outlines the rules and
regulations, and includes a facility waiver that must be signed
by an adult.
Once the application and facility waiver have been
completed and submitted, the receptionist will be able to
accept payment. Daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal passes
for individuals and families are available for the pool, fitness
center and gymnasium.

APV ACTIVITY CENTER &
COMMUNITY POOL
The New APV Activity Center can accommodate a
wide range of events, from business meetings to weddings.
Features include a Grand Ballroom overlooking the pool, a
conference room, a bridal room and a kitchen for catering.
The Community Pool is approximately 185,000 gallons of
water with a pool and deck area capacity of approximately
250 people. It has an integrated children’s play area.
The swimming pool is open to Poinciana residents, their
guests and non-residents. During “Public Swim” times
the pool is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If
maximum capacity is achieved, people can wait outside the
pool gates. Once a swimmer leaves, a new person will be
admitted to the pool area.

Note for Day Pass users
Once access is gained to the pool area, if you depart the area,
you will not be able to re-enter the area without having to checkin and pay the daily entrance fee.
Scheduled Programs
The pool will be reserved during certain hours for scheduled
programs. Examples include, but are not limited to, water
programs, swimming lessons and water aerobics.

Check-In Procedures
Anyone wishing to use the pool must check-in, and they will
be issued a pass to enter the pool area. The passes must be
displayed to the attendant at the pool in order to enter the
pool area.
The pool and deck area cannot be rented for private functions.
Pool Rules
• No one under the age of 18 is permitted in the pool area
without a parent or guardian.
• No glass bottles are allowed at the pool.
• Water, soft drinks and snacks are permitted poolside, however alcoholic beverages are not.
• Disposable diapers are not allowed in the pool. Infants must
wear swim diapers.
• Bathrooms are locked and can only be opened with pool key.
The doors must be closed and locked after each use.
• Pool furniture is not to be removed from inside the pool fence.
Other furniture is not to be brought into the pool area at any
time.
• No animals allowed in the pool.

APV FITNESS CENTER
Using the Court: We have a full regulation basketball court
that can also be used for volleyball.
The new APV Fitness Center has all the necessary gear
to help our residents stay fit, trim and healthy. We also offer a
“Free-Style” room for group activities like aerobics or Pilates! It is
open to both residents and non-residents. Membership rates
are available.
The gymnasium is open to both residents and non-residents.
In addition to open play, you can also reserve court time for
scheduled programs, which will be offered throughout the
year. Leagues and tournaments are welcome too.

Fitness Center & Gymnasium Rules
• Anyone without membership cards will not be allowed
access and will be required to vacate the facility.
• Anyone permitting others to enter the facility without the
proper membership card will lose their privileges.
• Proper attire must be worn at all times.
• Shirts and shoes are required.
• Proper closed-toe athletic footwear required.
• No smoking, loitering or pets allowed in the facility.
• Food, gum and beverages in glass bottles are prohibited.
• Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by
an adult to be in the fitness area.
• Scheduled events have priority in the facilities.

APV COMMUNITY CENTER
The APV Community Center is designed to accommodate
our community’s cultural, social and civic interests. This stateof-the-art facility includes four conference rooms, classrooms,
a large main room and a kitchen with an ice machine,
refrigerators and a food warmer.
The main room is over 4,800 square feet and accommodates
up to 250 people. The four conference rooms can
accommodate up to 30 people per room. APV allows you
to choose your own event vendors including caterers, event
planners, florists and more.
Our facility is perfect for local businesses, community-based
organizations and individuals to host events. Contact the APV
Community Center at 863-427-3417 to book your event.
