It is with great pleasure, we present this new publica on, which introduces the
profiles of the Polish Women Entrepreneurship Ambassadors selected in 2013. Each
one of these women has taken on the challenge to inspire, mentor, and support other
women seeking to start their own businesses. These one hundred Ambassadors have
been selected in con nua on of an annual tradi on of the Polish Network of Women
Entrepreneurship Ambassadors, which was inaugurated last year in coopera on with
the Club of Entrepreneurs and Experts at the Na onal Board of the Polish Economic
Society in Warszawa. Our project was inspired by the European Commission’s program
of suppor ng women entrepreneurship.
Each year as the Network of Women Entrepreneurship Ambassadors grows, the
quality will remain consistent. Through our selec on process, Polish Ambassadors
are selected from the most enterprising of women, who take on the challenge
of suppor ng and inspiring other women to establish their own companies. The
mission of this organiza on is to pay it forward. We aspire that as a result of the
support and assistance provided by the Polish Ambassadors each year in Poland,
there will be 100 new women-run companies.
Under this project, our organiza on is building the Network of Women Entrepreneurs – a community for all women, who have established, would like to grow, and
those who aspire to start their own businesses.

Urszula Ciołeszyńska
Nominated by European Commission as an Ambassador of The European Network of Women Entrepreneurship Ambassadors in 2009. Founder and
President of Founda ons, which are a not-for-profit organiza ons dedicated to promo ng female entrepreneurship in Poland. Member of the Internaonal Associa on of Lions Clubs, being a co-founder of Opole Lions Club and Ambassador of Goodwill of Lions Clubs Interna onal. Co-founder of the
Club of Entrepreneurs and Experts at the Na onal Board of the Polish Economic Society in Warszawa. She runs her own small company which she created from scratch in 2003. Her Economic Promo on Agency specializes in providing comprehensive advisory services to new and exis ng businesses
in Poland to acquire funding through the European Union. She has many years of experience of working in both government administra ons as well
as in mul na onal companies.

Women cons tute 52% of the total European popula on but only one-third of the self-employed or of all
business starters in the EU. Women thus represent a large pool of entrepreneurial poten al in Europe.
The criteria of nomina on to become a Polish Women Entrepreneurship Ambassador are as follows:
1. Must own and operate a successful business and be recognized as professional with high standards and ethics.
2. Must demonstrate leadership skills and is eager to help and share knowledge and experience.
The aim of the Ambassadors Network is to have successful entrepreneurs campaigning on the ground to inspire women
of all ages to become entrepreneurs and to set up their own businesses. The Ambassadors help to raise confidence
necessary for se ng up and crea ng successful businesses. They are also role models to inspire other women to become
entrepreneurs by “telling their own story”.
3. Must accept and commit to be an ac ve in the organiza on as an expert and a mentor to other women.
The European Network is made up of around 270 entrepreneurs who act as ambassadors of female entrepreneurship across
Europe. It focuses on providing role models that will inspire and encourage women to set up their own businesses – either
in professional ac vity, or those unemployed who wish to work on their own.
Our mission is to ensure that every woman, who has the determina on and drive to start an entrepreneurial venture has the support and help
she needs. By doing so, we believe this will help promote economic growth in Poland and within the European Union. Our goal is ambi ous and
we are up to the challenge.
Embassy for Women Entrepreneurship customized this project for the specific needs, expecta ons and possibili es that we have

28. Recognizes the importance of ambassadors, such as the European Network of Female Entrepreneurship Ambassadors
(ENFEA), which emphasizes the role that women can play in crea ng jobs and suppor ng compe veness by encouraging
women and young girls to start their own business.
29. Appeals the Commission to carry out a campaign to promote women’s economic ac vity in terms of se ng up their own
businesses.

Polish Network of Women Entrepreneurs is a community
for all women, who have set up and developed their own
businesses, and for those, who intend to start their own
companies. It emphasizes women’s solidarity, how to become
financially independent, how to connect women to women,
finally how to collaborate and cooperate with each other.
Thinking about them, the founda on has created the network
of coopera on. Through the philosophy of abundance, the
network consciously and inten onally looks for ways to share
informa on. It emphasizes women’s solidarity, how to become

The mission of the Polish Women Entrepreneurship Ambassadors, which is the same as in the European Network of Female Entrepreneurship
Ambassadors, is to promote enterprise among women as well as to mo vate and support them to employ their skills and passions in order
to create and establish new values. Thus, the women entrepreneurs who use our help will contribute to the economic growth of Poland
by developing successful businesses.

On September 16th, 2013 in the framework of the Third European Congress of Small and Medium-Size Enterprises in Katowice next 100
Women received the cer ficates of Women’s Entrepreneurship Ambassadors.
During the Third European Congress, the Polish Network of the Women Entrepreneurship Ambassadors for the first me expands interna onally. Eleven prominent women were honoured and granted the tle of an Honorary Ambassador of the Polish Network of Women

Minister of SME’s, Business Environment and Tourism in Government of Romania
She has over 30 years experience in the field of light industry. Since January 1990 she was CEO of SC Pasmatex SA Timisoara, in 1995 being the Chairman
of the Board of this company. Since 2005 she was administra ve manager of SC Splabel SRL. During this period, she was very involved in development
of tex le industry and job crea on. Since 1998 she serves as president of the Associa on of Women Entrepreneurs in Romania. Since 2002 she is the President of the Employers’ Federa on of Light Industry and member of the Na onal Council of Exporters. She is posi oned as “the top 50 successful women
from Romania” published by the magazine Capital almost every year.

Born in Białystok, Poland. She has lived in the Czech Republic for 19 years. A germanist (University of Warsaw). A er moving to the Czech Republic, she
graduated from the Business School in Ostrava. Mother of 19 years old Mike. She began her professional career on Czech TV in Ostrava as an editor and
an anchor of news in Polish. Later on, also in Polish-Czech programmes on Czech TV and Polish TV in Katowice. She used to own a company producing
TV commercials. For 6 years, she has worked as Director of the Czech-Polish Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic.

Since 1985 she works for Indian Foreign Service, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India. She has extensive experience in public
diplomacy as Director of The Nehru Centre, mandate to strengthen the cultural interface between India and UK. She organized over 1000 events
in visual and performing arts, cinema, book launches, lectures and other academic events and built strategic cultural partnerships with Bri sh
cultural ins tu ons, including the Bri sh Museum, V&A, The Bri sh Library, academic ins tu ons and universi es, fes vals, etc. She served as Deputy
to Spokesperson and Director in MEA and was responsible for daily press briefings and other interac on with media.
