Castle Loevestein
Loevestein Castle is situated at a unique location where the river Meuse and Waal join together and
the provinces of Gelderland, Brabant and South Holland meet. It was here, in this typically Dutch
river landscape, that the knight Dirc Loef van Horne built his castle in 1361. His choice, however, was
not determined by the area's outstanding beauty, but by its strategic position. It was the ideal
location to defend and from which to levy tolls, and that is exactly what happened.
Loevestein Castle is a unique spot where nature and culture unite as one.

The historical cities Heusden and Woudrichem
These are two really scenic and historical cities that were made to defend in the
earlier days.
These cities will look like a museum but there actually are working and living people.

Breeding station Joop van Uytert
Breeding Station van Uytert is a company in the middle of the
Netherlands that is active since 1993 with his own KI- station and
dressage stable. During these years, they have built up a good
reputation with interesting dressage stallions and talented jumping
horses. In 2009 they became entrepreneur of the year.
The stud farm represents several top stallions that perform or have
performed at national and international level, such as IPS Gribaldi, IPS
