Sunglo’s acrylic comes from Ohio. Our aluminum and 110V control panel come from Oregon. The ventilation
system comes from Minnesota and our Cedar for the bench and shelf slats comes from Pacific North West
wood. Sunglo has been in business since 1976 and the aluminum frame is still in great shape on many original
units. So you can have the peace of mind of knowing you are buying a quality, time tested product.
All Sunglo greenhouses come standard with a motorized louvered intake shutter, a motorized louvered
exhaust fan, and a thermostat to automatically operate both. All air is circulated based on the temperature
you set without having to be there to watch it. The door also has a sliding screened window for additional
ventilation. Plus there are the black vents that can be opened manually.
Your Sunglo greenhouse kit comes as a complete package
including all of the standard necessities such as fans, a
shutter, and thermostats. Also included are lights, a heater,
built-in cedar benches, a grow tray, a 25' coiled hose, a 36”
water wand, a drip watering kit and a shade cloth. This
means that you have everything you need to get started
with a fully functional greenhouse!

Your Sunglo Greenhouse is constructed of a durable aluminum, riveted framework.
Impact resistant two layers, UV stabilized, acrylic panels give excellent insulation
while still letting 92% of the light through. The very high insulation R value is 3.1.
This means it will cost you less to heat in the winter months. Plus the corrugated
inner panels diffuse the light instead of intensify it. Plants love it and will grow nice
and straight up.
So how strong is it? After running some tests we found that the Sunglo supports
over 25 lbs. of snow per square foot and withstood wind gusts of up to 80+ miles
per hour without worry. Our heavy gauge acrylic also has 10 times the insulating
properties and 100 times the impact strength of any single pane glass greenhouse
today. Our panel locks firmly hold the roof panels. Our panel supports lock in all the outer panels. Aluminum
rivets firmly bond the aluminum frame.
Environmentally controlled.
With the automated, thermostatically controlled ventilation and heating
system you can be assured that your plants' environment is being cooled or
heated and that your lights are coming on and going off at your designated
times. Even when you are not home or on vacation. In the warmer months,
every molecule of air in the greenhouse is exchanged at least once per
minute by the thermostatically controlled louvered exhaust fan and
motorized louvered intake shutter.
Create your own foundation.
A square, solid and level footing base is required to attach your greenhouse building.
You create your own foundation. We can e-mail a Foundation Guide for guidance. You can be as creative as
you like! Ideally there is a wooden square (preferably treated wood) that the outside base of your Sunglo
greenhouse can be attached to. Sunglo’s have been placed on gravel, wood, dirt, cement, decks, and more.
Check your need for insulation and drainage. Each greenhouse has different needs.

years of no discoloration or sun damage on the panels.

There are many ways to customize your Sunglo Greenhouse
Knee wall
You can raise the greenhouse to any height using materials of your choice like wood or concrete. Simply order
a “door drop” panel for above each door that matches with the height of the wall. A 2’ high wall would make
the top of the door line up exactly with the top of the wall. Raised greenhouses give a nice spacious feel, allow
warm air to rise away from plants, allow for hanging baskets and taller plants.
Doors
There are multiple options with doors based on the greenhouse model. All greenhouses can have a front and a
back door. A Double French doors are an option on the 1200, 1700 and 2100 models. Lean-To’s can have no
door when there is access from behind.
Ventilation
Add an additional or a larger size intake shutter and exhaust fan. Available sizes are 12”, 16”, & 20”.
Automatic Vent Openers
The black vent doors can be converted to have an automatic vent opener that opens as temperature rises. The
wax based cylinder requires no electricity.
Other Customization Options
Create a Lean-To out of the Free Standing greenhouse by removing the back wall
Grow your Sunglo’s size by adding Extensions later on.
Add additional support. We can customize support posts, braces, and hanger bars
U shaped benches and shelves or center Benches in our 2100 Series.
Convenient home delivery
We ship nationwide. Sunglo greenhouse kits come delivered in multiple boxes. When your order arrives at the
nearest terminal you will receive a phone call to set up a delivery time. No heavy lifting for you! Your order is
delivered on a lift gate truck and will be taken off the truck by the delivery driver!
Assembly instructions
Sunglo kits are easy to build and come with an instruction manual and assembly DVD. Your greenhouse kit is
packed by our team to correspond with your customized packing checklist. Each item you pull out of a box is
labeled. We want you to enjoy building your greenhouse. If you have any questions during the assembly
process, please don’t hesitate to call our customer service line.

Benches go at waste height and are 30” x 30” cedar slats with an
aluminum frame. Shelving go at about chest or shoulder height and
are 12” x 30” cedar slats with an aluminum frame. The number of
wall to wall slats required for your greenhouse can be determined
using the following formulas:
Free-Standing greenhouse: (Length/1.25) Ex: 1000C = 10 / 1.25 = 8

Lean-To Greenhouse: (Length/2.5) Ex: 1500D = 12.5/2.5 = 5 slats
30” x 30” Black Soil Grow Tray can replace any corner cedar bench
slat.
Benches and shelves easily remove to accommodate plants as they grow. And they can go shorter than wall to
wall or even in a U shape. For the 2100 we can create custom benches in the center of your greenhouse.

All Sunglo greenhouses include one motorized fan and one
motorized shutter. Larger greenhouses may come with two fans
and two shutters. Adding additional fans and shutters or adding
units are easy upgrades. The exact position of the fan and shutter is
very flexible. We can work with you to help customize your

Sunglo offers a one of a kind accessory. Extensions! Now you will never out grow your greenhouse!
Each Sunglo greenhouse series has a length extension kit available for purchase. Extension kits come in 2.5ft
sections. So you can add 2.5ft or 20ft to the length of your Sunglo greenhouse!
To install an extension you must deconstruct one gable end wall. Extend the foundation, attach the
extension(s), and reattach the gable end wall. Welcome to your new, bigger greenhouse!
