Select ARC races are televised live on Australia’s highest rating network, channel 7 which provides our associates exceptional national coverage that is very cost effective. The category competes at the largest motorsports events in Australia including the Clipsal 500 V8 Supercars Event. This event attracted over 292,000 spectators in 2015. Aussie Racing Cars is now also the most secure race series in the country. Becoming part of Tony Quinn’s motorsport group in April 2012, the business now has backing of one of Australia’s most well known motorsport oriented family’s and is guaranteed to continue to be the strongest race category in Australian History. All rights reserved. 2016 NZ Racing Cars Series - snapshot 2016 NZ Racing Cars Series event calendar NRC will conduct 5 events in 2016 / 2017 which will include the opening championship round at the Pukekohe V8 Supercars in New Zealand. Own a car price $59,900 + GST Lease a car There is a lease option or a lease to buy option with the NZ Racing Cars, you lease the chassis but own the engine. The vehicle needs to be returned in the same order as sold at the end of the season, or you can payout an amount to own the car at the end of the season. Chassis lease price $15,000 + GST Engine own price $10,900 + GST End of season buy out price $34,000 + GST Bond NRC requires an accident/recovery bond of $10,000 which can be paid in cash, bank guarantee or credit card pre authorization. Using a bank guarantee or credit card pre authorization, there’s nothing to outlay making NRC even more affordable. The bond is refunded in full on return of the chassis provided that the chassis is returned in a satisfactory condition. Bond $10,000 Tyres Yokohama tyres are purchased direct from the tyre dealer. All rights reserved. 2016 NZ Racing Cars Series - snapshot Entry Fees: Entry fees for the 2016 / 2017 NZ Racing Cars season will be $1250.00 + GST per round. These fees will cover: Marquee space with flooring and power. Entry fees for the round. NRC administration fees. Health and Safety levy. With the series being only 5 rounds and not the normal 6 – 8 as has been the case in other categories the savings made from extra accommodation and travel etc will off set the entry fees which are necessary to produce the standards and quality that will attract sponsors to be a part of this true Trans Tasman category. With the opportunity to race both here and in Australia in identical cars it is an amazing chance to make a step into the higher reach's of motorsport. Motorsport is in no ways a cheap sport and NRC will endeavor to deliver a product worthy of the status of a New Zealand Championship, grow the class in the future and showing how a well run category can succeed. ARC in Australia has shown that this is possible and NRC will look to continue that legacy to become a sort after class to compete in. All rights reserved. 2016 NZ Racing Cars Series – Test Days NZ Racing Cars will be conducting test days at both Highlands Motorsport Park, Cromwell and Hampton Downs, Auckland. Dates: Highlands Motorsport Park – 30th April 2016 Hampton Downs – 8th May 2016 Test Day format Welcome and Briefing 15 min Fitting in cars 10 min First session 10 min Debrief 5 min Second session 15 min Cost: $550 + GST per test as per format $300 + GST per extra 15 min session on track Any costs spent on testing will be deducted from the purchase price of a new NZ Racing Car. Bond: Each driver will need to provide a credit card for a bond of $2000 which will be refunded at the conclusion of the test session once the car is returned undamaged. All rights reserved. 2016 NZ Racing Cars Series Why MOTORSPORT should be in the Marketing Mix: Motor Racing is now one of the most watched sports in the country, with over 17 million people tuning in to watch Supercar/Support category events. Motor Racing is now the second largest sport worldwide in television and spectator share – second only to Soccer. NASCAR in the United States has proven that a touring car category can be more popular than the traditional ball sports – NASCAR is now the 2nd most watched sport in the USA. Attendance at V8 Supercar events has doubled in the last 10 Years. Motor Racing is the third most attended spectator sport in Australia, only horse racing and AFL are bigger in attendance. All rights reserved. 2016 NZ Racing Cars Series Buying a brand new NZ Racing Car Cars are delivered in complete ready to race form. Cars are supplied with a chassis set up that is capable of allowing the driver to win races. The New NZ Racing Car product is a significantly improved product from previous models with the addition of a number of upgraded components including a new water cooled Yamaha XJR 1300 engine. New car’s complete with all upgraded components are supplied ready to race. NRC are currently taking orders for new cars. COTF Background Following the purchase of Aussie Racing Cars by Tony Quinn in April 2012, ARC engineers undertook a 4 month review of the ARC chassis, running gear and body styling and developed an all new ARC COTF. The COTF program is designed to make a proven concept even better by reducing running costs and maintenance, improving parts supply and upgrading outdated technology used in the original Aussie Racing Cars. Aussie Racing Cars have been designing and producing race cars for over 15 years. During the 2013 and 2014 racing seasons, 20 new cars were completed and sold and 3 new body shapes launched including the Nissan Altima, Euro GT and the two latest additions, the Camaro and Mustang. Series owner, Tony Quinn launched the newest of the cars – the Mustang at Mount Panorama Bathurst in October 2014. This car bear’s chassis number 100. ARC has already built and sold another 11 cars, with chassis number ARC 111 being delivered to its new owner in the lead up to the 2016 Clipsal 500. This is facilitated through what is known as the “Category Share Agreement”. The terms of which will be discussed with each prospective car owner at the time of placing an order for a new car. Choice of styling: Mustang, Camaro, Euro GT, Holden Cruze, Toyota Aurion, Nissan Altima NZ Racing Car Regulations NZ Racing Car vehicles must remain in stock standard form. This means that all components must be OEM and the chassis and suspension must not be cut, drilled or modified in any way. The entire car must be “as supplied by the manufacturer” and this is regulated by comparing your car to any of the factory run cars – if your car differs to the factory cars then it is likely modified and will be ineligible to compete. Only sealed engines may be used in NRC competitions. NZ Racing Cars will be appointing an engine builder as the official engine builder for the NZ Racing Cars series.
