merci bouquet style guide bonjour! Thank you so much for thinking of Merci Bouquet for your wedding flowers and requesting one of our eBooks. We live and breathe beautiful weddings, it’s our passion and we thrive on working with you to create the wedding of your dreams. We consider it an honour for you to ask us to be a part of your big day and we do not take it lightly. We have a wonderful team based at our Bowral design studio, if you have any questions you can count on any one of them being able to help you. We love to talk weddings and if one of us doesn’t know something, someone else definitely will. Once you’ve had a look through our eMag, please feel free to ask any questions and if you’d like to book a consultation let us know and we will find a time that suits. We allocate an hour for us to have a friendly and in 2 Oui! WINTER 2015 depth chat, covering all aspects of your wedding so that we have the ‘big picture’ of your wedding, making sure your flowers match perfectly and are exactly what you want and more. So where to start? There are so many options! The secret is to know the theme that is truly you. What do you love? What kind of bride are you?? There are no hard and fast rules, which is great as it’s YOUR day! When it comes to flowers it’s the combination of the theme, the gowns and the venue that will determine what flowers will work for you. If you have no idea what you want - that’s ok! That’s why you go to a professional designer who can visualise it all with consideration to who you are and advise you on what may suit. Ultimately your wedding should be fun, enjoy this time and let us stress about the flowers for you. Thank you so much once again! WINTER 2015 3 We Are Origami Photography where to start? So you’ve got your gowns, venue & photographer organised… what now? FLOWERS! When it comes to flowers the best thing you can do to help us understand what you want is to have a look through Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Bridal blogs & magazines to find ideas and inspiration to form the theme and colour scheme of your wedding. These days in the wedding industry, it’s all about listening to what the Bride wants. If the wedding professional is not listening to you, find someone who will - your wedding is about you. 4 Oui! WINTER 2015 When it comes time for your Flower Consultation you can communicate your style a number of ways. If Pinterest is your thing, make up a secret Pinboard and share it with us. If you prefer to look through magazines, bring along clippings or the magazines. If you have printouts or photos on your phone/tablet, that’s great too! Bring along or email us as much information as possible so that we’re ready to go during your consultation. What is also great to bring along are any fabric swatches you have, engagement or wedding invitations, photos of the gowns, finer details you would like to personalise your day, styling ideas you have, questions you have - even if it’s not floristry related, we may be able to help or guide you in the right direction. After the consultation we will create a comprehensive Wedding Florals Proposal for you, this is the start of the conversation to make sure that we understand your vision. Please let us know if you would like to change anything at all as this is not a problem - we want to get it right for you. WINTER 2015 Wedding Day Setup Service If you require us to set up your own props, place cards, etc. we offer an all inclusive set up service from $250, which includes time allocated to discuss your needs and how to best achieve your desired result on the day. Styling Proposal Service Our new service! Often our gorgeous brides want to personalise their wedding themselves, but with no prior experience they often make design mistakes which leads to money being spent on areas that have zero impact, minor details overlooked (like placing the name cards!), inappropriate props, not understanding the reality of proportions & scale. etc. To guide you in the right direction we can sit with you and go over those smaller details and advise what will work best, recommend what will work and offer ideas that you may never have though of. Merci Bouquet have extensive experience and knowledge with how the local venues operate and where are the most likely areas of wedding planning that are overlooked. With over 400 weddings experience, we’ve seen it all! We always recommend hiring a professional planner or stylist, but if you do decide to do it yourself, we can help guide you in the right direction for $250. This includes a dedicated styling consultation, a site visit if required & a brief with our recommendations with a mood board if appropriate. I take as much time as required to chat to you and make sure I understand your vision, additionally I take a lot of time preparing a detailed & itemised visual quote for you. I also like to make sure that before I take these hours away from my little boy and other business matters that the brides are serious about the possibility of me providing their flowers. The $40 comes off the total cost when the date is confirmed. Why do we have to meet for a consult, can’t we just communicate via email? I want you to trust me and I believe this can only happen during a meeting. At the shop we can play with the flowers and items to help the communication process along. I want to make sure I 100% understand your vision and needs, and it’s the most efficient way to make sure everything is covered. What if I’m not 100% sure about the quote? I take time to create a detailed quote to make sure we’re on the same page, so please let me know if you’d like to change anything at all. I want to get it right for you. Why do the bouquets cost what they do? Simply because of the labour involved, it takes me approximately 1 hour to make each bouquet. Your bouquet is so much more important and special than a normal flower bouquet and this is how we treat it. I also buy extra so that you only get the best quality flowers in your bouquets. Do you deliver and install the flowers? Yes, I can take care of all the delivery, installation & retrieval of the flowers, saving you and your loved ones from worrying about it. Why does the delivery fee cost what it does? I really care about your wedding and so I don’t ‘drop & run’ if I need to attach corsages and buttonholes, then that is my pleasure! I also use a lot of packing material and it takes a while to package your precious bouquets so safely. to cover packing time and packaging (this is included in the delivery fee). Can I come back for a follow up meeting? Absolutely! Once the order has been confirmed I welcome a second meeting closer to the date. Mock up designs can be arranged at the clients expense, although accuracy depends on the type of flowers available at the time. Can you match other florists’ prices? No, my prices are fair and well considered for the service I provide. I can adjust the designs for your budget though. You are paying not just for flowers, but for my creativity, time, experience and skill and I take great care. Can I change my mind? Yes you can! It’s your day and there’s so much inspiration available! Just let me know asap and I’ll adjust the order for you and email it back for your confirmation. Easy! I just ask that no changes be made in the final month. The minimum charge for bridal flowers $35, venue delivery of $35, venue pickup of $25 and $10 for the buttonholes. Additional charging is calculated at $1p/km plus any tolls or special packaging that may be required. Surcharges apply for public holidays and outside normal trading hours. If you decide to pick up your bridal flowers, there is a charge of $25 Can I hire decorative items from you? Absolutely! I have a small range of items available and a network of local businesses that have the most gorgeous props & hire items available. You only have to deal with one person then – easier than two, three or four. www.instagram.com/mercibouquet contact Calling for all creative submissions! www.pinterest.com/mercibouquet www.mercibouquet.com.au Get in touch with us with your idea/ www.twitter.com/mercibouquet [email protected] concept, we’d love to hear from you! #teammerci www.mercibouquet.com.au www.facebook.com/mercibouquet 26 Oui!
