History of SmithWorks Outdoors and the ComfortQuest Hunting Blind
SmithWorks Outdoors is the vision of Dave Smith. Dave retired from owning a successful Security Company in Burnsville,
Minnesota for 38 years. And although he loved the business environment, his true passion was spending time in the North
Woods of Minnesota where he and his hunting partners have hunted deer for more than 40 years.
In 2006, after Dave and his hunting companions had tried dozens of ladder stands, climbing stands, ground blinds and tree
seats of all makes and models, the need for a new hunting blind design became clear. The vision of the ComfortQuest
Hunting Blind began and was translated into the first computerized drawings. After the purchase of an industrial sewing
machine, the first ComfortQuest Hunting Blind prototype took shape.
In 2007, Dave produced 15 more prototypes. He and his hunting partners tested the prototypes for three hunting seasons.
Dave listened to the experienced hunters, implemented their suggestions and finalized the design of the ComfortQuest
Hunting Blind.
In 2010, hunters requested larger blinds, so SmithWorks Outdoors designed and manufactured the larger 4x6 ComfortQuest Blind. It has the same great features as the earlier 4x4 ComfortQuest Blind (aluminum frame, 600 denier water
resistant polyester fabric blind and carry bag) and mounts on a 4x6 platform.
In 2010, hunters also asked for a chair that was comfortable, light-weight and could be transported easily to their hunting
spot. Thus the introduction of the ComfortQuest SPORT Chair, the first comfortable, lightweight, packable swivel arm
chair.
SmithWorks Outdoors is dedicated to offering only superior hunting products that Dave and his hunting group approve of
and use themselves. We have added several accessories to enhance the main ComfortQuest Hunting Blind package.

ComfortQuest Hunting Blinds and ComfortQuest SPORT Chair
This is a look into the design process that took place during the creation of the ComfortQuest Hunting Blinds and ComfortQuest SPORT
Chair. We are confident that SmithWorks Outdoors is delivering the best hunting products for the money!
The ComfortQuest Hunting Blinds and SPORT Chair are COMFORTABLE!
Hunters want a blind that can protect them from the elements for hours on end. They also want a chair they could be comfortable in.
Our blinds are made from highly water resistant 600Dpolyester fabric that keeps out the wind and rain, is durable, resists fading and
resists deterioration.
Our ComfortQuest Blinds now come in two sizes; 4x4 and 4x6; both have a full stand-up 6’6” height. They accommodate your favorite
hunting chair (the ComfortQuest SPORT Chair) and additional gear.
Our ComfortQuest Hunting Blinds offer optional Mesh Screen and Vinyl Window Packages. The Mesh Screens provide air circulation,
insect prevention and added concealment, while the Clear Vinyl Windows provide protection from wind, rain and cold temperatures.
The two window types can also be used together for maximum concealment and protection.
The ComfortQuest Hunting Blinds and SPORT Chair had to be AFFORDABLE!
ComfortQuest Hunting Blinds and SPORT Chairs are affordable to all hunters.
We chose not to produce rigid, fiberglass or wood blinds that are heavy and expensive. Instead we designed a study aluminum frame
and heavy-duty fabric for both the ComfortQuest Blinds and SPORT Chair, thus making the cost low and the quality superior.
The ComfortQuest Hunting Blinds and ComfortQuest SPORT Chair had to be FLEXIBLE!
Many hunters already have hunting platforms or stands and need a blind that can be used with what they already have or could easily
build.
The ComfortQuest Blinds can be installed on any 4’ x 4’ or 4’ x 6’ platform. Complete instructions and diagrams on how to construct a
12’ stand with platform are available on our web site. (See Customer Service) An optional Ground Blind Frame is available to adapt the
ComfortQuest Blinds for use as Ground Blinds.
Hunters wanted a blind with windows on all sides that could be used in many different configurations.
The ComfortQuest Blinds have zippered windows on all sides, each with two pair of zipper slides, allowing the hunter to configure the
windows in accordance with their sight lanes.
Hunters wanted a chair that would adjust to their leg length and accommodate their heavy hunting clothing. The ComfortQuest SPORT
Chair has legs that adjust from 13” to 18” and an oversize seat.
The ComfortQuest Hunting Blinds and SPORT Chair had to be DURABLE!
Hunters wanted a blind and chair that would last for many hunting seasons.
The ComfortQuest Hunting Blinds and SPORT Chair include a lightweight, yet sturdy powder coated aluminum frame. The aluminum
fabrication creates a long life product.
The fabric blinds and SPORT Chair can withstand the elements. They are made of heavy-duty flame retardant fabric which is 600 Denier coated polyester. The blinds also have double stitched seams and genuine YKK zippers for added durability.

All SmithWorks Outdoors products are shipped via Federal Express, UPS or LTL Truck. Shipping options for United States orders on SmithWorks Outdoors web site include:
