“Whispers of the South: The Journey of a Southern Family”
Book Signing and Presentation by Murriel Moore Meadows
Meadows, who grew up in southern Twiggs County, is proud to present her first novel,
“Whispers of the South.” In this novel, she traces the Howell side of her family through their
struggles to survive, endure, and prosper. She takes the reader from the Isle of Wales in 1650,
across the Atlantic to Jamestown, then on to the Carolinas, and finally to Twiggs County,
Georiga. Readers will relate to her stories of courtship and marriage, childbirth and loss, the
Civil War and recovery, and rural churches. Meadows takes you inside her childhood by
showing the strength and courage of her mother, who kept the farm and family functional
when scandal strikes their family.
Mrs. Murriel Moore Meadows invites everyone to come to the book signing and
presentation. Take advantage of this opportunity to renew the potential old acquaintances
found in her book.
