Indian Pencak Silat Federation
The Indian Pencak Silat Federation is led by President, Mr Farooq Ahmad. The
Director General of Indian Pencak Silat Federation, Mr Mohammad Iqbal, together with Mr.
Farooq Ahmad, has manage to get a meeting slot with the Secretary General of Indian
Olympic Association, Mr Rajeev Mehta, on 15 December 2015.
Mission: To get Indian Pencak Silat Federation affiliated to the Indian Olympic Association as
a recognised sport in India.

Meeting with Secretary General, Mr Rajeev Mehta
The meeting with Secretary General of Indian Olympic Association was a success.
Indian Olympic Association will be having their board member meeting on 23 rd December
2015. Mr Rajeev Mehta has included the topic on inclusion of Indian Pencak Silat Federation
as an affiliated member into the agenda.
Mr Rajeev Mehta has also given approval for the Indian Pencak Silat Federation to
send a team to compete for the 5th Asian Beach Games, 2016.

Meeting with Life Member of Olympic Council of Asia, Mr Raja Randhir Singh.
Mr Mohammad Iqbal have arranged for us to meet the life member of the Olympic
Council of Asia, Mr Raja Randhir Singh, at this mansion. However, the meeting were
cancelled as Mr Raja Randhir Singh was not feeling well.
Mr Sheik Alau’ddin, President of Asian Pencak Silat Federation, manage to talk to Mr
Raja Randhir Singh over the phone. Mr Raja Randhir Singh has given us the full support and
promises a visit on our next trip to New Delhi.
Meeting with State Members of Indian Pencak Silat Federation
Mr Mohammad Iqbal arranged a meeting with the state members of Indian Pencak
Silat Federation where we had the certificate and gift exchange ceremony. The meeting was
attended by representatives from Kashmir, Mumbai and New Delhi.

Coaching, Referee/Jury and Competition Secretariat Course
Before they can organise the First All Indian National Pencak Silat Championship,
APSIF will need to conduct the following courses: Coaching, Referee/Jury and Competition
Secretariat Course. The course will be conducted in month of February, tentatively.
Asian Pencak Silat Federation (APSIF), will be sending a team to conduct the sessions.
The team will consist of International Referee/Jury from Singapore Silat Federation as a
lecturer, an athlete from Singapore Silat Federation as the demonstrator (peraga) and an
Administrative Staff from APSIF.
1st All Indian National Pencak Silat Championship
The 1st All Indian National Pencak Silat Championship will be organised in April 2016,
tentatively. The invite will be open to all the states that is practicing Pencak Silat in India.
Mr Mohammad Iqbal and Mr Kishor is looking for a venue to hold the event in New
Delhi, India.
Selection Trial – 5th Asian Beach Games
The selection trial for the team from India to compete in the 5 th Asian Beach Games,
2016, will be in conjunction with the 1st All Indian National Pencak Silat Championship.
In-Camp Training – 5th Asian Beach Games
The Indian Pencak Silat Federation will be conducting a one month of in-camp
training prior to the 5th Asian Beach Games, 2016.
The one month will be full packed training for all selected athletes who will be
competing in the 5th Asian Beach Games, 2016. Training programs will be prepared in
advanced before the start of the in-camp training.

Registration of Indian Pencak Silat Federation
The Indian Pencak Silat Federation has successfully registered itself to the Registry of
Societies in India. Below is the society’s registration copy:-
Conclusion
APSIF visit to New Delhi, India was a success as we manage to achieve our mission:
to get Indian Pencak Silat Federation affiliated to the Indian Olympic Association.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Farooq Ahmad, Mr Mohammad
Iqbal, Mr Omar Rehman and Mr Kishor P. Yewale for their support and sincere assistance in
making this meeting a success.
