Physicians of Indian Origin

GAPIO was inaugurated on 5th January 2011

GAPIO is a Non Profit Organization

GAPIO collaboration with AAPI/BAPIO/IMA to
offer its members’ services to MOH, India and
various state governments in providing essential
healthcare services at various locations.


An online matchmaking portal where GOI and
State Govts can post their requirements and
Indian Medical diaspora can view and apply for
the same.
The departments can finalize the applicant and
send them information on the requirements and
make arrangements for the Physician’s visit.


GOI -MOH&FW and State Govt DGHS can post
‘healthcare requirements’ (volunteers, experts,
training, health screening) in various locations/ their
states
The respective departments receive applications from
physicians who are interested in the requirement

Applicant is selected

Position is removed from the website.





Applicant (Physicians of Indian origin) can
view the requirements on the portal
They can search by state and period of time
required
They can then ‘Apply’ for the position
Once applied they are taken to the ‘My
account’ page where they can manage their
profile and their applications
They can view the application status
