focus fiesta METAMORPHOSIS 2011 - Dil 21st, 22nd & 23rd December 2011 Mrunalee Kulkarni takes us through “Euphoria” the band’s journey to becoming one of India’s most successful fusion bands. It seems unreal when you come across someone who doesn't like music, perhaps because; it has become an integral part of our life. Indian music truly makes an impact, the strongest reason being, it connects with one emotionally, like no other form of music does. Apparently, it has been observed that artists from the west are adapting Indian style of music, Indian rock bands are doing amazingly well abroad. The reach and appreciation of Indian music proves that it is so unique. Indian fusion bands like Euphoria, Indian Ocean, Swarathma have managed to attract a large number of audiences, along with appreciation and respect for Indian music. Indian music has a history spanning the millennium and has developed over several eras, and hence of course, India continues to be the Land of art and origin of music. Let's talk about one of such Indian Rock Bands, who have come up with an album recently called “Item” Euphoria is one of the most iconic Indian Rock bands, The Band originated from Delhi, in 1998, consisting 7 artists and is led by vocalist Dr. Palash Sen. They came up with their first Album "Dhoom'' in the year 1998. Their most touching album was “Mehfuz” in 2006, which had an amazing response. One of their recent Albums was “Follow your dreams”. The album featured trio Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy, and talked about the students' suicides, which had become a serious issue at that time. The track is motivating and full of positivity, it was launched in 2010. Euphoria was the first Indian band to perform at UN General Assembly Hall in New York. They also created the Common Wealth Games Anthem, Delhi Meri jaan. “Recently we returned from a trip to US and Middle East , It feels great to be a part of such a vibrant and successful Indian band, currently we are working for the video albums and also Live Concerts in Mumbai , Delhi , Kolkata , and Pune'' said Alok, PR Manager for Euphoria.
