Mrunalee Kulkarni takes us through “Euphoria”
the band’s journey to becoming one of India’s
most successful fusion bands.
It seems unreal when you come across someone who
doesn't like music, perhaps because; it has become an
integral part of our life.
Indian music truly makes an impact, the strongest
reason being, it connects with one emotionally, like
no other form of music does.
Apparently, it has been observed that artists from the
west are adapting Indian style of music, Indian rock
bands are doing amazingly well abroad. The reach
and appreciation of Indian music proves that it is so
unique.
Indian fusion bands like Euphoria, Indian Ocean,
Swarathma have managed to attract a large number
of audiences, along with appreciation and respect for
Indian music. Indian music has a history spanning the
millennium and has developed over several eras, and
hence of course, India continues to be the Land of art
and origin of music. Let's talk about one of such
Indian Rock Bands, who have come up with an album
recently called “Item”
Euphoria is one of the most iconic Indian Rock bands,
The Band originated from Delhi, in 1998, consisting 7
artists and is led by vocalist Dr. Palash Sen.
They came up with their first Album "Dhoom'' in the
year 1998. Their most touching album was “Mehfuz”
in 2006, which had an amazing response.
One of their recent Albums was “Follow your dreams”.
The album featured trio Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy, and
talked about the students' suicides, which had
become a serious issue at that time. The track is
motivating and full of positivity, it was launched in
2010.
Euphoria was the first
Indian band to perform at
UN General Assembly
Hall in New York. They
also created the Common
Wealth Games Anthem,
Delhi Meri jaan.
“Recently we returned
from a trip to US and
Middle East , It feels great
to be a part of such a
vibrant and successful
Indian band, currently we
are working for the video albums and also Live
Concerts in Mumbai , Delhi , Kolkata , and Pune'' said
Alok, PR Manager for Euphoria.
Our 2 recent video Albums are of two different kinds ,
ITEM , the first album talks about the perceptions of
people towards the item girls of Bollywood , as they
are called , who are given that skimpy , hot and sexy
look , and audience have created a mindset that an
Item is supposed to be the same , the album ,however
speaks the other way round, today's real woman,
