Dear Residents,
I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer!
Our Second Annual SilverLakes
Pumpkin Patch will be held on
Sunday, October 13th from
3:00pm-5:00pm at the Pavilion at
the Community Park on 178th Ave.
Please come out with your children and pick out a
great pumpkin to decorate or carve. Face painters
will also be at the event. It will be a fun afternoon.
Please download an attendance waiver at
www.SilverLakes.net to bring with you.
Our December Holiday event will
be held on Saturday, December 7th
from 10:30am-2:30pm at West
Broward Hall. This will be a fun
morning with a Holiday Bazaar for early holiday
shopping, photo ops with Santa, snow cones, and
carolers. There will also be a toy drive. Please bring a
new, unwrapped toy that will be donated to children
in need.

the Master Board of
SilverLakes has approved
incredible lights again this
year for our main and subdivision walls! They will be
out right after Thanksgiving.

winners of the Father’s Day contest and were the
lucky recipients of a party package worth $60 from

Misty Harbor!
Resident Reminders
• Private parties - at the Community Pool are
not permitted. The outdoor pavilion at the Park
or West Broward Hall can be rented for private
functions. Please visit the EVENTS page at
www.SilverLakes.net for more information.
• Sidewalks - in front of homes should be
checked periodically for cracks or lifted edges.
Lifted or damaged sidewalks pose a tripping
hazard that can result in both bodily harm to
persons walking on them, as well as law suits to
both the homeowner and association.
Management is continuously inspecting for
sidewalk damages, however, it is beneficial to all
that residents routinely check their sidewalks for
damage.
• Mailboxes - Management is inspecting
mailboxes for correct type, style, color, height,
cleanliness and damages. Any damaged mailboxes
(this includes peeling, dented or mailboxes that
are missing flags or door) as well as those that
don’t conform with an approved style should be
replaced.
• Dogs - Please clean up after your dogs when
walking in the community.

If you are interested in participating in the Holiday Light & Decoration Contest for 2013,

Deadline to register is December 15th
Please e-mail your Name, Address and Community Name.
Please complete decorating by December 15th
Please do not remove decorations before December 28th.
This will allow neighbors to view all of the participating homes.
Check out www.SilverLakes.net on December 20th for a list of homes participating in the
contest. A map will be available to download with the participating homes. Grab some hot
cocoa, sing some carols, drive through SilverLakes and view your neighbor’s festive
decorations. Jot down your favorite and e-mail [email protected] with your vote
for the winner! Please write MY VOTE in the subject line and include address of property
and community name. Voting closes on December 28th.
Winners will be announced in the First Quarter 2014 Ripples, as well as on the SilverLakes
website and via facebook. The winning homes will be also featured in Ripples.
