• All rivers become more hazardous as the water rises. Know your ability and do not exceed it!
• State law requires a Coast Guard Approved
life jacket for each occupant of each boat.
All non-swimmers should wear their life jackets.
• All transported items should be tied to your
boat to prevent spillage.
• Please know when you are entering public lands
on your trip so that if you leave your canoe, you
are not trespassing.
• Respect the rights of private property owners
and other river users.
• Please carry out all that you take with you; pitch in and pick up after others.
• Please let someone know where you are
canoeing and when you will return.
• Please help preserve and protect the river
resources for future generations. Leave all
vegetation and wildlife as you found it.
