Commander Reginald G M Walker (37990). The DFC dated 1942
verso, the Atlantic Star with Air Crew Europe clasp. Group comes
with corresponding miniatures, ribbons and badges including
''Send for Churchill'', RAF Group headquarters 24 Squadron (2),
sweetheart brooch etc. An extract from the ''London Gazette''
detailing R.G.M. Walker's exploits and a letter from Buckingham
Palace is included, also various ephemera related to Wing
Commander R G M Walker including his pilot's flying log book
from June 4th 1940 onwards mentioning flights involving
Marseilles, Sardinia, Malta, Alexandra, Khartoum, Crete, Western
Desert, Port Sudan etc etc. Aircraft flown including Hawk,
Sunderland, Lockheed, Hurricane, Beaufighter, Anson and Electra.
The log finishes in 1952. A book on the Walker family, framed
photograph, parachute map (button type), framed pencil
caricature dated 1960, office nameplate, a set of Architecture of
Air Power books, pewter mugs etc.

Swords of this pattern were designed by Chef de Batalion Derue in
the 1880s but the pattern was not officially adopted by the French
army though weapons of this type were available for officers to
buy as a private purchase. Brass hilt with shagreen covered grip
stamped ''C Barre fabrique a Paris''. The straight 36in T-profile

1803 pattern infantry officer's sword but carries the entwined rose
and thistle of the flowers of the union in place of the royal cipher.
This is possibly a private purchase sword that pre-dates the official
1803 pattern. Brass hilt with lion's head pommel, sword knot ring
and chequered ivory grip. Unmarked with no scabbard. Blade

blade numbered 24361, with leather scabbard. Records show that
this sword was sold to its former owner in April 1885. Three bar

initials C H de R. This sword was formerly the property of Brig Gen
