This Week’s Speakers
This week Springfield
Metro will welcome three
speakers representing
charities benefiting from
proceeds raised during
Rock ‘n Ribs. Our speakers
will be Julie Conway, Good
Samaritan Boys Ranch;
Felicia Rose, Harmony
House, and
Bonnie Keller with The
Ronald McDonald House.
Julie has been in the nonprofit world for 25 years.
She was named
outstanding Fund Raising
Professional for 2010 by
the Ozarks Chapter of the
Association of Fund Raising
Professionals and
Springfield Business
Journal Most Influential
Women of 2012. She is
currently preparing for the
Rock N Ribs BBQ festival
where she serves on the
Executive Committee
coordinating media
relations for the event.
Felicia Rose started with
Harmony House in 2012
and has held various
positions including Case
Manager, Shelter Lead,
and now Volunteer
Coordinator. She is
currently spearheading the
campaign to get as many
volunteer hours for Rock
N’ Ribs as possible through
Harmony House
affiliations.
Bonnie Keller is the President and CEO of Ronald
McDonald House Charities
(RMHC) of the Ozarks, Inc.
and The Tooth Truck, Inc.
Prior to being named the
paid Executive Director of
the Ronald McDonald
House near Cox South in
1989, Bonnie served in the
roles of Volunteer, Board
Member and Volunteer
Executive Director. She
was promoted to President
and CEO in 1991 and
continues in this role as
the organization expanded
its programs and mission.
Join us this week to learn
more about these
organizations.
Next Week’s Speaker
Next week, Springfield
Metro will welcome Julie
Higgins with I Pour Life.
Higgins is an entrepreneur.
Over the years she has
successfully built and sold
businesses as varied as
cookies (Julie’s Chewies)
and construction (Euro
WorldDesign).
Throughout her years of
business, she would take
the time to mentor
women, teens and
children. After taking a
hiatus from running a
business, Julie felt God
calling her to start I Pour
LIfe, a local 501 (c)(3) nonprofit - which gives hope
and promise to the poor
and refugees in global
communities as well as
homeless in our
community.

on May 13, 2015. Tickets

Judge Tommy Webb
Judge Webb's life story,
“You can make a
difference,” focuses on
making a positive
difference in a negative
world. He has experienced
life from a perspective not
shared by individuals who
live in this part of the
world. His dynamic
message to value and
appreciate the qualities of
other people is delivered
with a sense of humor that
will be inspiring, thought
provoking and
entertaining.

Metro Survey Results
Last week, Eddie Spain
presented the results from
our recent member survey.
Overall, our results were
very positive. True to our
desire to give back, Metro
hosted 22 service
programs last year!!!
Members were asked to
provide feedback and
encouraged to share what
is working well and what
needs improvement. The
text messaging was seen
as a great way to
communicate with
members.
We have room for
improvement in
communicating the
Presidential Citation
and our club goals.
Our goals are available in
Club Central. We will begin including this in our
orientation training for
new members and will add
information to the
newsletter so that
members know how to
login and check or create
bios, and review club
goals.
