Our Story
In the early 1980's, David Briggs, Jr. began evaluating opportunities within
the restaurant and bar business. Briggs quickly noted the dislike that most
establishments had for frozen drinks, as they were complicated to mix, and they
slowed down customer service. Frozen drinks that were available were of inferior
quality, limited selection, and premium price. Everything was missing - selection,
service, quality and value. Based on this information, Briggs set out to
revolutionize the frozen drink business by developing a variety of premium frozen
drink products that could be prepared in a consistent manner.
Prepared with the development of over 20 unique frozen
drink offerings, Briggs introduced the frozen specialty drink
concept to the world by opening the first New Orleans
Original Daiquiris unit in Hammond, Louisiana on January 1,
1983. Within the year, several other locations were
developed in the New Orleans market, including one in the
most dynamic drinking hub of the world - Bourbon Street!
From that location the staff experimented with different
flavors by offering free samples to unsuspecting tourists.
New Orleans Original Daiquiris is now a regional chain with
30 locations throughout Southeast Louisiana.
Fat Tuesday, a sister concept of New Orleans Original Daiquiris,
began in 1984. The Fat Tuesday concept has grown into a
national phenomenon with over 20 retail units in five states
servicing such markets as Key West, Philadelphia, Las Vegas,
Miami, Puerto Rico and Cozumel, Mexico.
The most exciting development to derive from the New Orleans
Original Daiquiris and Fat Tuesday retail units has been the
packaging of the specialty drink mixes used by those concepts.
Our Aseptic method of packaging allows us to maintain an
extended shelf life on all our product. This has enabled the
company to create a division which specializes in selling the "Fat
Tuesday Premium Drink Mixes" to other on-premise and offpremise venues. This program allows many bars, restaurant,
resorts, national chain accounts, and even the "mom and pops" of
the world to serve delicious frozen drinks made with the Fat
Tuesday Premium Drink Mixes. Our unique operation background
and the ability to test and deliver unique flavors directly to the
consumer in a short period of time sets us apart from our
competition. Today we feature over 40 unique flavors and just last
year developed a Select line of premium mixes specifically for the
Hilton Resorts. Currently, over 25 million Fat Tuesday frozen
drinks are served year.
Original Fat Tuesday Mixes
All mixes contain real fruit puree and juices.
Our product is packed twelve 32oz Aseptic re-closable cartons per case.
Mixes are a 3 to 1 concentration or greater and will yield over 128 - 12oz drinks per case.
Which means one case of Fat Tuesday mix will yield 33% more drinks then most
competitors.
Shelf stable product (no refrigeration required until opened, once opened the product has
30-day shelf life refrigerated.)
Our Margarita mix contains a triple sec flavoring, you just need to add tequila to make
delicious margaritas. Convenient and cost effective!
Our mixes can be used in blenders, shavers and batch machines. Our mixes can also be
served frozen, on the rocks, with or without alcohol.
All our products contain zero trans fats and are gluten FREE.
75% of each Fat Tuesday Drink Mix carton is made of recyclable fibers.

All Select mixes are made with cane sugar and NO high fructose corn syrup.
