Welcome to our 2014—2015 Season! We can’t wait to share all of the excitement we have planned for the
coming year! This season Stolen Shakespeare Guild is producing 7 great shows. We begin with the musical
The Mystery Of Edwin Drood and by popular demand we are continuing our Jane Austen series. The Stolen
Shakespeare Festival returns with a tragedy and comedy that both take place in Verona and the Pulitzer Series
continues with its third entry. Next year, instead of performing one summer musical, the SSG Summer Musical Series will now offer two musicals. Also, please stay tuned for special events and new works Stolen
Shakespeare Guild will be entering at festivals.
Lastly, the SSG will be holding its first ever High School Shakespeare Competition. This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to experience the excitement of live performance while learning the works of
William Shakespeare! The contest is open to students in grades 9-12.

Matchmaker Emma Woodhouse has just moved on to her newest
“project” - a sweet, but modest girl named Harriet Smith. Having
played matchmaker for her governess, vivacious Emma is determined to find Harriet an impressive suitor in spite of her lacking social standing. But as Emma becomes entangled in the romantic lives
of her friends and acquaintances, she unwittingly falls in love with the
least likely of bachelors in this lighthearted take of gossip, matrimony, and misunderstanding.

2015
This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to experience the excitement
of live performance while learning the works of William Shakespeare! The
contest is open to students in grades 9-12. Students may enter a monologue,
scene or both portions of the contest. Contestants present their pieces at the
Fort Worth
Community Arts Center in front of a panel of judges on November 6th, 7th, or 8th, and those who advance to the final round of the contest will
have the opportunity to perform at the Showcase of Finalists where they could
win $1000.00 for their drama program. Coaching sessions will be provided in
January and February for finalists. This is not apart of the season package. If your school is interested contact us at 817-988-2058.

Selected Production Crew Biography
Jason Morgan (Director) is a graduate of Texas Woman's University with a Master of Arts in theatre and Stephen
F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre. As an actor, Jason has appeared in over one
hundred stage and independent film productions. For the SSG, he has played Touchstone, Adam, Corin, and Jaques
in various productions of As You Like It; Shakespeare in Dark Lady Of The Sonnets; Benedick and Verges in different productions of Much Ado About Nothing; Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Petrucio in Taming of
the Shrew and many more. In the DFW area, he has performed at Theatre Arlington, Rover Dramawerks, Museum
of Modern Art of Ft. Worth, NM Productions, Pocket Sandwich Theatre, ICT, Onstage, Runway Theatre, and many
more. Some of his directing credits include Ginger Goldman's Francines's Mitzvah's at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre, Bye Bye Birdie at Artisan Center Theatre, and Barefoot In The Park & Run For Your Wife at Onstage. For the
SSG he has directed or co-directed CSF 2007, As You Like It, From The Beginning To The Nativity, Much Ado
About Nothing, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Love's Labour's Lost, Double Falsehood, Anything Goes,
Twelfth Night, Crazy For You, Pride and Prejudice, Spamalot, The Winter’s Tale, and All’s Well That Ends
Well.
Stefanie Glenn (Choreographer) is happy to be back working with Stolen Shakespeare Guild again. She holds a
MA from Texas Woman's University and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harding University with emphasis in Acting. She directed Kiss Me Kate, A Christmas Carol, and the 2010 production of Pride and Prejudice for SSG. As an actress for the SSG she
performed in Anything Goes as Purity and A Winter’s Tale as a Shepherdess. Stefanie performs frequently at Plaza Theatre and
favorite roles include Patsy, Crazy For You and Sally Chessington, Cash On Delivery. Stefanie co-choreographed Crazy For
You with her sister Monica for SSG, and has choreographed lots of other fun shows too! Love to Mom, Dad,
Monica, and Nathan. Thanks for leaving a light on in the living room!
The Mystery Of Edwin Drood Cast
Chapman Blake (Alan Elliot/Citizen of Cloisterham) is excited to be in his very first performance with
the Stolen Shakespeare Guild. Other favorite roles include Shrek in Shrek the Musical and Captain Hook
in Peter Pan. He has been training with The Acting Studio in Grapevine, Texas, for the past 6 years. He
would like to thank his family, friends and instructors. He would also like to thank Jason and Lauren for
giving him the opportunity to perform with such a great cast and crew!
Tom DeWester (Mr. William Cartwright, Chairperson) is extremely pleased to be portraying the role
of the Chairman in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Last season Tom performed the role of Sir Robin in
Stolen Shakespeare's Spamalot, and is most happy to return. Some of his previous roles include Judge
Turpin- Sweeney Todd -Uptown Players; Max - Sunset Boulevard - GLCT; Don Quixote - The Man from
La Mancha - OnStage in Bedford; Mr. Brownlow -Oliver - Lyric Stage; and Hot Blades Harry - Urinetown - Runway Theatre.
Bryan Douglas (Mr. James Throttle/Horace) is excited about the chance to perform with SSG again, having previously played as Jaques in As You Like It, Lefew in All’s Well That Ends Well, Antigonus, The Winter’s Tale; David Bliss, Hay Fever; Boyet, Love’s Labour’s Lost; Friar Laurence, Romeo & Juliet; and Antonio, Much Ado About Nothing . He has been involved in theater, as an actor and lighting designer, in DFW
and Kansas City. Apprenticed as an actor with Vassar College/New York Stage & Film. He wishes to thanks to
all fellow veterans and those that continue to serve.
Stan Graner (Mr. Clive Paget/John Jasper) is pleased to make his first appearance with SSG. He’s
performed regionally at Casa Mañana, Circle Theatre, Contemporary Theatre of Dallas, Garland Summer Musicals, Kitchen Dog Theatre, Lyric Stage, One Thirty Productions, Plano Repertory Theatre,
Stage West, Theatre Three, Uptown Players, and WaterTower Theatre. Stan has received a DFW Theater Critics Forum award, eight Column Awards, and critic Alexandra Bonifield (Critical Rant & Rave,
Arts+Culture Magazine, TheaterJones.com) named him one of the Outstanding Male Performers of
2010. Stan is featured on all three Holidazzle recordings put out by DFW Actors Give Back, and he was honored to
be invited back to his alma mater Texas Wesleyan University in 2008 to perform an evening of Broadway songs.
Katy Hill (Miss Violet Balfour / Citizen of Cloisterham) is excited to be performing with the SSG again after
having been in last fall’s production of Pride and Prejudice and played Renee in Gypsy this summer. She has a B.A. in
Music Education from Henderson State University. Some of her favorite past roles include Vi Petty in Buddy! the Buddy
Holly Story (Artisan Center Theatre); Ruth in The Pirates of Penzance (Grand Prairie Arts Council); and Mrs. Bedwin in
Oliver! (Artisan Center Theatre). Katy would like to thank her husband, friends, family, and cats for their understanding,
encouragement, and support.
M. Shane Hurst (Mr. Phillip Bax/Bazzard) is excited to return to the Stolen Shakespeare stage, where
he has appeared as Mr. Elton in Emma and Mr. Collins in Pride and Prejudice. Other favorite roles include Henrik in A Little Night Music and Harold Bride in Titanic, both with Lyric Stage, as well as
Thenardier in Les Misérables with Family Music Theatre at Cedar Valley College, where Shane serves on
the music faculty. He also teaches at DBU and serves as director and music director in theatres around the
Metroplex. Shane holds four degrees in music, including a doctorate in vocal performance from UNT.
Special thanks go out to his wife and two kids for their loving support.
Lee Jamison (Miss Alice Nutting/Edwin Drood) is pleased to make her first appearance with SSG. She
has appeared at Stage West as Lucy in The Rivals and Pauline in Thank You, Jeeves; Theatre Three as
Oolie/Donna in City of Angels, Catherine in Pippin, Kate Thunder in Wild Oats, ad Evan in Burning Desire; Uptown Players as Sister Walburga in The Divine Sister and Jill in Equus; Dallas Children’s Theater
as Lillian Magill in The True Story of the Three Little Pigs; and Lyric Stage as Gloria in Bye Bye, Birdie. Lee has a
BFA in Drama Performance – University of Oklahoma and is a member of Actor’s Equity Association.
Jennie Jermaine (Miss Florence Gill / Beatrice) is very excited to be in her first production with Stolen
Shakespeare! She has a musical theatre associates degree from KD College. Favorite credits include Usherette/Ensemble in The Producers at Uptown Players, Mimi in Rent at Ohlook, and Anybodys in West Side
Story at Kids Who Care and Artisan Center Theatre. She would like to thank her friends and family for
their never ending support!
Alex Krus (Mr. Victor Grinstead/Neville Landless) graduated from Texas Tech University with a BFA in
Acting. Notable roles include: Dave, The Full Monty (Theatre Arlington); James Leeds, Children of a Lesser
God (Lubbock Community Theatre); and Theo Maske, The Underpants (ONSTAGE in Bedford). Alex would
like to thank his family, friends, and special someone for their constant support. "Go confidently in the direction of
your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." - Henry David Thoreau. This is his third production as an actor with the
SSG: Dumain in Love’s Labour’s Lost and Rusty Charlie in Guys and Dolls. Also, for the SSG he has directed
Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and co-directed Spamalot.
Karen Matheny (Miss Janet Conover as Helena Landless) is thrilled to return to the SSG stage! Karen’s previous SSG credits include Miss Cratchitt/Gypsy, Charlotte Lucas/Pride and Prejudice, Mrs. Elton/Emma, and Sorrel
Bliss/Hay Fever. Other credits include Florence/The Curious Savage (TART) Brooke/An Act Of The Imagination and
Weetsie/Cover Of Life (ICT). At Onstage in Bedford she appeared as Mrs Krebs in Inherit The Wind. She has her BFA
in theatre from TCU, and when she isn’t onstage, Karen works for the American Association of Community Theatre and
Amphibian Stage Productions.
Tyler Martinelli (Deputy/Master Nick Cricker) This is Tyler’s debut with Stolen Shakespeare Guild.
His previous accomplishments include playing the Mayor of Whoville in Seussical the Musical and Friedrich von Trapp in The Sound of Music; both with Break a Leg Productions in Pomfret, CT. He was last
seen as a revolution boy in the Augusta Players’ production of Les Miserables in Augusta, GA. Tyler will
be attending Tarrant County College and pursuing the Health Information Technology Program. He
wishes the cast and crew of Drood to break a leg!
Lauren Morgan (Miss Deirdre Peregrine/Rosa Bud) received her theatre training from San Francisco
State University and has a Bachelor of Music degree from Texas Christian University. In San Francisco she
performed with Masquer’s Playhouse, Chanticleer’s Theatre, and Playwrights Center of San Francisco. In DFW
she has been seen with Lyric Stage, Theater Arlington, Ft. Worth Opera, and Artisan Center Theater. For SSG,
she has been seen on stage in the roles of Celia, As You Like It; Jane Bennet, Pride and Prejudice; Sarah
Brown, Guys and Dolls; Helena, A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Leonora, Double Falsehood; Luciana, Comedy Of Errors; Ismene, Antigone; and Lilli Vanessi, Kiss Me Kate.
Dan Nolen, Jr. (Mr. Cedric Moncrieffe/Reverend Crisparkle) is delighted to be making his debut with
SSG in this great show with such a great cast. Favorite roles include, Norman Thayer in "On Golden
Pond" at Onstage in Bedford, Everett Baker in "Crazy for You" at Theatre Three and The Govenor in
"Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" at Main Street Theater in Mansfield. Other theaters include Runway
Theater, Theatre Arlington, Theater Coppell, GLCT, FMPAT, Pocket Sandwich Theater and Artisan Center Theater. I would like the thank Lauren and Jason for allowing me to be a part of this show and my
wonderful wife, Connie , for 48 years of love and support.
Gary Payne (Mr. Nick Cricker, Sr./Durdles) works part-time as a head usher for Bass Performance
Hall and part-time as a bartender for Stage West, and he is represented by Core Talent. His past favorite
roles are Wilbur, Hairspray (Greater Lewisville Community Theatre); The Governor, The Best Little
Whorehouse in Texas (OnStage in Bedford and GPAC); and Horace Vandergelder, Hello Dolly (Artisan
Center Theater) Also, he has worked at Casa Mañana, Theatre Arlington, Stage West, Hip Pocket
Theatre, Pocket Sandwich Theatre, Fort Worth Theatre, Circle Theatre,and Jubilee Theatre. For the
SSG he has been in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum as Senex and Benny Southstreet in Guys and Dolls.
Jessica Taylor (Miss Isabel Yearsley / Wendy) is an active member of the DFW Theatre Community.
Recent credits include Mazie, Seussical (Plaza Theatre Company) the Baroness, The Sound of Music
(Ohlook Performing Arts Center) A Desert Song, Ensemble (Lyric Stage) and Nine, Gabriella (Lyric
Stage). Along with performing, Jessica also serves as the theatre director at Richland Middle School. She
is a graduate of Millikin University's dept of theatre and dance. This is her first production with Stolen
Shakespeare Guild, and she is very excited to be playing the title role in SSG's upcoming production of Emma.
Janette Oswald (Angela Prysock/Princess Puffer) has a BFA degree in acting from Baylor University.
Recent favorite roles include: Sister Acacius, The Divine Sister (Uptown Players - Column Award nomination); Mom, A Suburban Ganymede (Pegasus Theater/Churchmouse Productions); Grandma Kurnitz,
Lost in Yonkers (Richardson Theatre Centre). She is also the Resident Guest Director at Richardson Theatre Centre. “Thanks to Jason, Lauren and this tremendously talented cast! Much love to my VERY supportive husband.” Janette is represented by Core Talent.
