full of beautiful Opti Art accessories. With a little creative
crafting, you can make necklaces, bracelets, rings, pins,
hair clips, ribbon jewelry and more. We even give you a pretty
petite purse to hold them all.
Craft Carefully – this kit includes pin backs and plenty of small
parts. Keep them away from pets and young children.

What you need to know before You Get Started
Beaded Bracelets and Necklaces:
• Notice that some of the stones have holes and some do not – choose the stone that
best fits the project you are working on. If you need to add a string or beads –use
the opti gemstones with holes. When making a ring, hair clip, pin or the silver link
bracelet you can use the gemstones without holes.
• Thread the gel cord through the holes in the
opti gemstones and tie securely. You can add
a dot of craft glue to make your knots even
more secure.
• What is Opti Art? When the faceted stones are placed over the colorful paper
patterns you get a unique-optical effect. Experiment with different colors
and patterns.
• The velvet backing can be used to create a soft backing for your jewelry pieces.
• Save the small oval stones for making the silver link bracelet. You will not need
the velvet backing when making this bracelet.
Making Opti Art
• Your set includes 2 pretty patterned
sheets. Use the markers included to color
them in. When finished, these colorful
patterns will become the art under your
gemstones. You may want to color in
small areas at a time as you work on
your jewelry.
Color in
designs
• Once an area is colored, remove a
gemstone from the sheet. Position it
over the art and then press it into place.
Remember once it is stuck it cannot
be removed.
• Cut out the paper around the edge of
the stone. Trim closely to the edge of
the gemstone.
• If your gemstone includes holes, use the
plastic needle to poke through the holes
as shown. Line up the holes to poke
through the velvet backing.
• Add the velvet backing to your opti
gemstone if you are not layering them.
Poke holes thru the velvet.
• Use the nylon bead threader with the
gel-cord to string your beads. You can make
single or double strands.
Ribbon Jewelry:
• To make ribbon jewelry, you will use the
adhesive dots to attach the pieces together.
• Measure the ribbon against your neck
and/or wrist – remember, you will
need to leave extra ribbon for tying
on your necklace or bracelet when
complete.
• Using the adhesive dots, sandwich the
ribbon with the flowers and opti gemstones
as shown.

Metal Jewelry:
• Link Bracelet – using adhesive dots, attach
the oval gemstones to the links.
• Rings – Try layering a flower with the
opti gemstone in the center. Attach the
gemstone to the metal ring with an
adhesive dot.
• Hair Clips – Attach the small opti gemstone
to the hair clip with an adhesive dot. For
extra fun, try layering it with a flower too.
• Pins – Peel the paper backing from
the adhesive pin back and firmly
secure to the back of the opti gemstone.
