Aspek sosiolinguistik menyentuh beberapa teori sosiolinguistik yang menjadi teras kajian sosiolinguistik moden seperti cerminan linguistik (Fishman), hipotesis Sapir-Whorf, stratifikasi bahasa (Labov), etnografi komunikasi (Gumperz), pembangunan bahasa (Ferguson, Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana), Perancangan bahasa (Fishman), dwibahasa (McNamara, Mackey), kesopanan bahasa (Geertz, Brown dan Gilman), dialek (Weinreich), pemilihan/pemisahan kod (Ervin Tripp). Aspek penterjemahan melihat pendekatan dalam penyelidikan "linguistic based" (Catford, Nida, Newmark dll.), penanganan aspek ekstralinguistik, dan "non-linguistic based" (Hatim, Vemeer). 31 Kursus Sinopsis Kursus HMT 504/4 Morfologi dan Sintaksis Bahasa Melayu Lanjutan Kursus ini merupakan kursus lanjutan tentang morfologi (kajian struktur kata) dan sintaksis (kajian struktur ayat) yang dikaji berdasarkan teori Prinsip & Parameter. Tenaga Pengajar Penyelaras Kursus: Pn. The significance given to the teaching of history as a subject in the national education system well reflects this truth. As such, it is pertinent that practitioners of history are provided with the right training so that they are able to contribute to nation building, besides participating in issues related to history. However, the existing training and courses offered are not sufficient enough to impart the required knowledge. The Master of Arts in Southeast Asian programme aims at overcoming this limitation. This Master of Arts in Southeast Asian programme is offered both full-time and part-time. It is conducted on the mixed-mode format that involves course work and research. For every paper taken the students are required to attend lectures, participate in tutorials, submit an essay and sit for the final examinations.
