TheEFQMExcellenceAwardsaresupportedbyoneofthemostchallengingassessmentprocesses. Toassessorganisationsandidentifyrolemodelpractices,aninternationalteamof5to7experienced, specifically trained managers spend one week on site and an average of 500 hours in total per applicant.Theyreviewdocumentsandinterviewindividualsaswellasgroupstoanalysehoweffective theorganisationisagainsttheEFQMExcellenceModel.Thefeedbackreportpreparedbytheassessors provide a wealth of value adding input to help the organisation improve at a strategic level. The reports are then presented to an independent jury that decides the level of recognition for each Nominee. TheobjectiveofthisbookistopresentthehighͲperformingorganisationswhohaveparticipatedin the2015Awards. Page|2 EFQMRecognitionBook2015 Foreword Marc Amblard, Chief Executive Officer EFQM Inthisbooklet,weareproudtorecogniseallorganisationswhichreceivedanEFQMRecognitionin thepastyear.WhetherSMEsorlargeentities,inindustryorservicesectors,privateorpublic,theyall haveonethingincommon:theyarerelentlessintheirpursuitofexcellence.Theyweresignificantly morenumerousin2014(632)thanin2013(531)andthispositivetrendcontinuesin2015,largely thankstotheeffortsofournationalpartners. ThevalueprovidedbyexcellenceassessmentsingeneralandthatoftheEFQMExcellenceAwardsin particular,isstrong.Thisenticesmoreandmoreorganisationstotakeadvantageofthisopportunity to nurture their own journey towards excellence. They eventually become role models for the excellencecommunitythankstocommittedleadershipandengagedteams.Inturn,wecanalllearn fromtheirgoodpractices. Sixteen of the most mature organisations took part in the 2015 EFQM Excellence Awards. They expectedtoreceivehighlevelfeedbackfromaninternationalteamofexperiencedassessors,asnew inputfortheirjourney,andtomotivatetheirteamswitharecognitionfortheirachievement.Investing over500hoursperapplicant,our102trainedassessorsobservedwitharigorousapproachwhatthese organisationsaredoingtoreachandsustainsuperioroverallperformance.Theunderlyingprocess wasrevisedthisyearwiththeobjectivetoprovideevenmorevaluetoparticipatingorganisations(our surveyshoweditwasindeedthecase),focusingonmorestrategicfeedback. In the end, we are very pleased to announce that the Jury gave the Excellence Award to two organisationsthisyear:BMWAG(Regensburgplant,Germany)andWakefieldandDistrictHousing (UK). 8 applicants received Excellence Prizes for outstanding performance on at least one specific FundamentalConcept.The5otherfinalistsreachedascoreofatleast600points.Congratulationsto allparticipantsfortheiroutstandingachievement. In 2014, a total of 272,015 carswerebuilt. Allinall,approximately6millionvehicleshaverolledofftheassembly line since 1986.
