Brilliant Broomley!
Year 4 went to Broomley Grange in October and everyone loved it.
The
children took part in climbing, adventure playground, tree climbing,
archery, zip wire and crates. Some children even went in the tunnels.
They were on a mission to find a light switch.
It was dark and muddy and wet. It was so
dark Jessica and the other children went in a
puddle. It made them muddy and wet. Jessica said ‘I have had the best time ever”. The
whole group would like to do this again one
day.

Drumming Spectacular!
On the 20 October in Dinnington First school hall the
year 3 and 4 wowed the audience with African and
samba drumming. They all took part in a musical
workshop to develop
skill and teamwork. Everyone loved the experience and
would love to do it again.
Year 3 played jembay drums in African style music
with the notes base slap and tone. They sang che che
koolay and put a little wow into it. Year 4 did samba. They
used agogo bells, hi lo drums, shakers and serdo drums. At
the end they got a amazing cheer. “We enjoyed it so much
and would like to do it all again” both of the classes said
about their experience. Mrs Creed and Mr Graham were
very proud of the hard work the children had put in over
the 6 weeks to give such a good performance.
WE WOULD LIKE TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU TO
STEVE AND FRANCO FOR PUTTING SO MUCH EFFORT INTO THIS.

yellow. Then they went to hear a story about
the first people who went on the moon. They
learnt lots of great planet facts. Holly Spreadbury said “It was really good. I liked listening

Diwali Day fun for all classes
Every class celebrated Diwali by making and
learning about Hindu traditions. The children in nursery made barfi sweets and took
them home to eat. In Reception
they made diva lamps out of clay. In Year 1
they made diva candles with paper and sparkles. Painted rangoli paterns and Diwali
cards were made in Year 2. Mr Graham’s
Year 3 class enjoyed singing and dancing on
Diwali day. Year 4 made their own rangoli

Daffodils for spring
Last week, Reception were planting daffodils bulbs in their garden to
come up in the spring! They are very excited for when they all come up,
so they told us how they planted there bulbs! First they got some seeds
and a trowel they made a little hole with there trowel and placed a
seed in the hole they had made. Next, they covered up the seed in the
hole with the trowel and then gave it a good water. Now all they have
to do is wait till spring and see if they come up!
