Isabel’s House. We started this event with $1,450, thanks to our
sponsors on the front of this program.
Isabel’s House is a ‘crisis nursery’. When a
home becomes unsafe, the children of our community deserve a welcoming haven. That’s why
Isabel’s House offers a home away from home for children 12 and under,
with education and support for the whole family in need.
Who or What in the World is the
Queen City Beard & Moustache Federation?
Well, simply put....we’re a bunch of hairy people raising money for great
causes and cultivating new relationships in our community and afar.
Who are you affiliated with?
The ‘Federation’ is a local chapter of the Beard Team USA
and was unofficially founded the end of 2010 and now
includes a ‘member e-mailing list’ of
about 20 men and 10 ladies.
The women’s group, also knows as the
Bearded Betties of the Ozarks,
is a local chapter of the national group
called The Whiskerinas.
Are you a non-profit organization?
No. Our annual and event sponsors enable us to put on events like this one.
When businesses sponsor our events with a cash donation, the money is
paid directly to the organization.
Our annual sponsors are Tallgrass Brewing Company and Rockabilly Rub.
Annual sponsors provide our resources, such as printing and promotion,
throughout the year. Some also offer our members discounts on products

What are the Judges Looking For?
In all categories, the judges will be instructed to consider the overall condition and health of the facial hair, detail in styling if applicable,
uniformity of color, thickness, symmetry, size including but
not limited to length, and presentation.

Devin Cara holds the title of 3rd Best Garibaldi in the
World after his recent finish in the World Beard & Moustache Competition in Norway a couple weeks ago.

specializing in eclectic gifts for men and fine

Kelly Cara, beard and competition enthusiast. Kelly has attended two
World Compoetitions, the US National and several local competitions
alongside Devin.
