Summer Sermon Series: “James”
More than any other book in the New
Testament, James places the spotlight on the
necessity for believers to act in accordance with
their faith. How well do your actions mirror the
faith that you proclaim? This is a question that
we all struggle to answer well. This summer
series will point to all the ways our faith and
work overlap. Allow James to encourage you to
do good, according to the faith you proclaim.

Hope Over Heroin-TROY
July 8-9 @ Miami Co. Fairgrounds
Thank you to all of the servants from TLC! Tess
Block, Betty Straker, Terry Clemmons, Tina
Supinger, Missy Supinger, Dan & Lori Lacey, Eric &
Shirley Rich, Terry Gray, Bailie Scheer, Paula Shiltz,
Amanda McGowan and Tonya Watson. This was not
only a life changing event for those in attendance,
but for the volunteers as well. Almost 100 people
responded to the message of hope and committed
or recommitted their lives to Christ. Many more
entered into recovery programs and received
information on their next step in a new life. TLC
showed the community that we are committed to
being the church and showing our EGS!

Youth United for Christ-WORSHIPFEST
July 30-31, 2016
The Barn Youth Center, Pleasant Hill
A two-day worship and camping adventure for youth
grades 7-12. Enjoy a day of Christian music,
dynamic speakers, and fun games with a night of
camping. A Sunday morning worship service will be
available for those camping. Sign up and pay by July
24 at the Welcome Center.

Aaron Jones was admitted to the hospital this week and had surgery to address a cyst in his intestine.
Please keep him and his doctors in your prayers.
Dan Lacey has surgery scheduled for July 25 to remove skin cancer. This is a large area that will
require special care and attention.
Sandy Kinder had a medical procedure last week. Please pray for healing and for her family while she
heals.
Lisa Stanifer is still recovering from a medical procedure. Please continue to pray for healing and
strength.
Dawn Miller requests prayer for her Uncle George Pradel, who has been diagnosed with Multiple
Myeloma. They know God is the ultimate healer, and ask for guidance and healing through his
treatment.

Hope Over Heroin was a great success and led to the commitment of 100 people dedicating
their lives to Christ and new start in life through a relationship with HIM!
The parking lot paving and striping is completed! It looks amazing, and we are so thankful to
all of the many TLC Family Volunteers who gave their time and talents to this huge project.
There is currently a critical need for several areas of ministry: Attendance Coordinator,
Nursery Volunteers, Children’s Ministry and Cleaning Ministry. Please see Amanda
McGowan if you are interested in serving in these areas.
