The theme for the 2012‐2013 PTA Reflections Program is “THE MAGIC OF A MOMENT”. Reflections is a national PTA sponsored program designed to give students the opportunity to express themselves artistically and receive positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Win‐
ners from May Overby will be submitted to the city level of judging, with the possibility of moving on to state and national levels as well. Students in all grade levels are encouraged to create and submit works of art in the following areas: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Com‐
position, Photography and Visual Arts. There is no limit to the number of entries and students may enter any and all categories. Parents, if you have a child who excels in the arts, please encourage them to enter and show off their artistic sides!!! Rules and entry forms are available in the school office. The deadline for submitting entries is Friday, December 7, 2012. If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Falcon at 226‐
3940 or [email protected]. You may also log onto www.ptareflections.org to get the forms and rule information. Austin Huff is our student council president & Jade Mounga is our
student council vice president!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to May Overby for another exciting school year!
The Campbell’s “Labels for Education” program gives us an excellent opportunity to earn free items for our school. There is a wide
variety of products that our teachers can choose from to help in the
education of our children. They range from art, computer software,
electronics, books, math & science, music, physical education,
teacher’s resources and much, much more!
I encourage each and everyone of you to visit
www.lablesforeducation.com to learn more about the program and to
see how many different products you can earn points from. Some of
the products listed you need to collect the UPC codes and with others
you just need the caps from the containers. REMEMBER, they no
longer take the front of the label. Talk to your family, friends and
neighbors to see if they will save the labels and caps for you.
Also remember that on a monthly basis the class that turns in the most
points will win treats for that month. When you turn your UPC’s or
caps into the school office make sure to put them in an envelope or
bag with your teacher’s name so your class gets credit for the points.
For those points that are not turned in with a teacher’s name these
points will be split among all the classes.
Let’s get going! Keep an eye out for the monthly update in the school
newsletter to see how your class is doing. If you have any questions
feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] or call at 229-1707.
Have a great year!

During our fundraiser, students who sold 5 items
could fill out a Lucky Penguin form and enter it in
a daily drawing. Each day we drew for a “Lucky
Penguin” who received prizes. Students whose
names were drawn and got to be the “Lucky Penguin” for a day were: Connor Bockorny, Austin
Wagemann, Patrick Severson, Preston Locke, Gracie Lozenski, Jaiden Lyke, & Hannah Rovang.
Congratulations!
