W
e are pleased to announce that International
Zurkhaneh Sports Federation has organized
its Para Zurkhaneh Sports committee. Accordingly
International Zurkhaneh Sports Federation
has scheduled Para Zurkhaneh continental
championships in individual events of Meel Giri and
Kabbadeh in 2012.
Zurkhaneh Sports: Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere
These championships are:
a. The 1st Asian Championship in December 2011
b. The 1st African Championship in May 2012
b. The 1st European Championship in July 2012
e. The 2nd Asian Championship in September 2012
Continental Para Zurkhaneh Sports individual
events in 2012 are holding in two classes:
a. Standing class: Amputees; one leg or both legs below
or above knee, disables with fixed hip, knee or ankle, and
Polios who can stand and perform Zurkhaneh Sports.
b. Sitting class: Disables with spinal injuries,
amputees; one or two legs, and Polios who are not
able to stand and shall use wheelchair.
Each team includes of one athlete in standing class,
one athlete in sitting class and one administrator.
Each athlete may participate in both Meel Giri and
Kabbadeh.
A pair of Meel weighs 6 Kg (3 Kg each).
Kabbadeh weighs 8 Kg.
Scores are obtained according to International
Zurkhaneh Sports federation rules.
Medal and diploma are awarded to the first, second
and third ranks.
International Zurkhaneh Sports Federation is
responsible for the expenses of accommodation and
visa; however participants shall pay international
flight tickets fees.

sport of values. This sport with the thousands years of history has played a
great role in empowering the mental and physical health aspects of people.
Zurkhaneh sports is a cultural heritage and good resource for Sport for
All. Zurkhaneh Sports presence in international fields was welcomed by
all Countries. Indeed, many countries are boosted by a social as well as
humanitarian perspective. By proclaiming IZSF events, many countries have
acknowledged just tidy influential role of Zurkhaneh sports that can play in
a country’s social, welfare and cultural development.

Encourage people to enjoy Zurkhaneh Sports
and its morality values
muscular endurance, respiratory and heart endurance, flexibility and body
composition), physical ability and skills (Speed, alacrity, strength, action
speed, equilibrium and coordination).
IZSF has been established on October 11th in The National Olympic and
Paralympic Academy, Tehran- I.R. Iran in 2004 with the support of I.R.
Iran Physical Education Organization, National Olympic and Paralympic
Committee, TAFISA, with the presidency of Prof. Jurgen Palm and
representatives from 22 countries in the world.IZSF now has representatives
in 5 Continents in the world, and IZSF is trying to develop the sport, culture
and health by organizing the training course all over the world. IZSF is now
accessible to all individuals, children, youth, and adults in their respective
age. IZSF is registered in Switzerland. IZSF is member of TAFISA, and some
other International sport – culture Organizations.With Suggestion of
Iran on November 2010 Zurkhaneh Sports registered in UNESCO.In 2011,
IZSF follows two major approaches; first, to enhance the continental c
onfederation’s activities; and second, to expand educational practices with
a particular attention to Africa.
