Milton's Secret
An Adventure of Discovery through
Then, When, and the Power of Now
Eckhart Tolle, Robert S. Friedman
Illustrated by Frank Riccio
“I am thrilled with the way the script has grown from the original foundation
of the book to the screenplay, and hope this film has the power to contribute
to the awakening of consciousness on our planet.” —Eckhart Tolle
Published in 2008, Milton’s Secret brings to children Tolle’s core
teachings as found in The Power of Now and other writings.
Now a major motion picture
starring Donald Sutherland
to be released in fall 2016!
Milton is being bullied on the school playground and no longer enjoys
going to school. In fact, Milton dreads each morning and feels his
whole world is in crisis. But when his Grandpa Howard comes to visit,
he discovers that anxiety about the past and worrying about the future
only make things worse and prevent him from finding true happiness
moment to moment.
By discovering the difference between then, when, and now, Milton
is able to shed his fear of being bullied–and this changes everything.
Beautifully illustrated and artfully expressed, this charming story will
bring joy to children and their parents for decades to come.

Let Your
Spirit Guides Speak
A Simple Guide for a Life of
Purpose, Abundance, and Joy
Debra Landwehr Engle,
author of The Only Little Prayer You Need
"Live without your spirit guides and you miss out on an enormous
support system that could make your life infinitely easier and more
enjoyable."
This is a clear and thoughtful introduction to building relationships
with your spirit guides. It shows readers how helpful spirit guides and
angels can be in everything from the simplest to the most challenging
of life decisions and how easy they are to connect with, too.
Our spirit guides help us to:
Simple steps for connecting with your
spirit guides, angels, and higher self.
• Fulfill our purpose
• Make decisions that will move us forward faster
• Stop sabotaging ourselves as well as judging ourselves and everyone else
• Remember that we are more than our job or house or relationship
• See ourselves as beautiful and everything in life as a gift
• Give ourselves and everybody else a break
• Keep growing until the day we leave our bodies behind
• Go beyond the life we hoped for and onto the life we never even imagined
And they do all of these things when we're ready and not a nanosecond
before. They also often come quietly. As the author states: ”If we
expect help from Spirit to arrive with the sound of trumpets and
blinding light, we'll overlook all the nuanced help that's delivered in
small ways every day.”

The Path to Wealth
Seven Spiritual Steps for Financial Abundance
May McCarthy
First time in paperback!
Many people bring spiritual practices into every aspect of their lives—
except the boardroom! But spiritual guidance can be used just as easily
to help fill the bottom line as it does to fill our hearts and souls.
In The Path to Wealth, entrepreneur May McCarthy will show you how
to create a true financial partnership with the all-knowing power in the
universe that she calls your Chief Spiritual Officer, or “CSO.” This is not
a dogmatic book; McCarthy encourages you to partner with a higher
power of your own understanding, but she is insistent on one point:
this power is within you and it knows what must happen for you to
receive what you want.
A clear path to wealth and abundance
in just 30 minutes a day!
About the Author
Since 1982, May McCarthy has
founded and grown several
successful companies in a variety
of industries, including fashion
retail, domestic and international
telecommunications, and
healthcare software and capital
equipment, which have grown to 250 employees
and over $100 million in annual revenues. She lives
in Seattle, Washington. Photo credit: Christopher
Conrad
In this book you’ll learn the job descriptions for both yourself and
your CSO, and you’ll have a daily road map to help you achieve your
financial goals. As you practice these steps daily, you will experience
seeming miracles that you never thought possible, all with less effort
and more fun. Once you decide what you want, it’s the CSO’s job to
create the path to get you the goods you’ve defined. Your job is to
follow each step in this daily practice and watch as the benefits you
want unfold.

Goodbye, Hurt & Pain
7 Simple Steps for Health, Love, and Success
Deborah Sandella, PhD, RN
Foreword by Jack Canfield,
co-creator of the 'Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul®' series
Emotions are invisible, taken for granted and dismissed much of the
time—a paradox given they are some of the most powerful forces on
Earth. They inflame wars, induce death, inspire invention, and control
stock markets. More important, each of us has them—all the time.
In Goodbye, Hurt and Pain, Deborah Sandella uses cutting-edge
neuroscience research and her revolutionary Regenerating Images in
Memory (RIM) technique to show how blocked feelings prevent us from
getting what we want, and she introduces a process that bypasses
logic and thinking to activate our own emotional “self-cleaning oven.”
Using imagination, color, and shape to visualize feelings and get
straight to the root of long-standing problems, she teaches us to move
destructive feelings such as fear, anger, hurt, resentment, and envy
out of the body. Letting go of old feelings and traumatic memory at a
deep, cellular level makes people feel and look younger, lighter, more
energized, and less burdened. And they can begin to experience results
after just one or two self-directed sessions.
Goodbye, Hurt and Pain also provides seven organic ways of using your
feelings to attract more love, better health, and greater success. The
process is fast, fun, and as easy as 1-2-3.
"Wonderful and profound. This book will touch you
intimately and probably change your life."
—Jack Canfield, from the foreword
We are not our feelings!

Dr. Deborah Sandella has been
helping thousands of people find
themselves for 40 years as an
award-winning psychotherapist,

The Witches' Almanac Coloring Book
Magic
Editors of The Witches' Almanac
An Occult Primer
The Witches’ Almanac has long featured black and white
images of beautiful woodcuts, fantastical creatures, tarot
cards, astrological features and constellations, as well
as line drawings selected from the folklore of our global
community. The Witches’ Almanac Coloring Book brings
together a larger format of these images presented in
past Almanacs (in addition to images that have not
been presented) allowing the inner artist to emerge in a
meditation of color.
Neatly packed into seven distinct sections, the first
fittingly is Woodcuts. When they first appeared in Europe,
woodcuts had thick outlines and little shading. A printer
inked the block and applied light pressure to transfer the
lines to paper. After the ink dried, another craftsperson
might color the images by hand—very much like a coloring
book today, except that today you are the colorist.

10 David Conway
“There is nothing of the phony or the exhibitionist about David
Conway. He is not merely a magician, but a genuine mystic, an
intensely private person who is absorbed in what Blake called
‘the inner worlds and their mystery.’” —Colin Wilson
David Conway’s Magic: An Occult Primer is a seminal work
that introduced magical training in the early 70s. Along
with the updated texts on philosophy and practical magic,
this new edition features a plethora of graphics that have
all been redrawn, promising to be another collector’s
edition published by The Witches’ Almanac.
About the Author
David Conway is a mystic, magus, and author whose profound
knowledge, unique insights, and clear writing style have affected
literary esoterica since the early 70s. The seventh child of a seventh
child, David’s education in magic began at a very early age when he
studied with a local farmer, Mr. James, a magician he encountered in
the Welsh countryside.

The Witches' Almanac,
Issue 36,
Spring 2017-2018
Water, Our Primal Source
Edited by Theitic
Founded in 1971 by Elizabeth Pepper, the art director of Gourmet
magazine for many years, The Witches’ Almanac is a witty, literate, and
sophisticated publication that appeals to general readers as well as
hard-core Wiccans. At one level, it is a pop reference that will fascinate
anyone interested in folklore, mythology, and culture, but at another,
it is the most sophisticated and wide-ranging annual guide available
today for the mystical enthusiast.
Modeled after the Old Farmers’ Almanac, it includes information related
to the annual Moon calendar (weather forecasts and horoscopes) as
well as legends, rituals, herbal secrets, mystic incantations, interviews,
and many a curious tale of good and evil. Although it is an annual
publication, only about 15 percent of the content is specific to the
date range of each issue.
The Witches’ Almanac features more than 140 pages of interesting
and timeless articles about witchcraft, magic, herbalism, charms,
spells and related topics written by authors from the witchcraft and
magical communities. The theme of Issue 36 (Spring 2017 – Spring
2018) is Water: Our Primal Source. Included are “The Coffin Ring,”
“A Beekeeper’s Year,” “The Margate Grotto,” “Speaking in Tongues,”
“Poppets” and “Thomas the Rhymer.”
The newest issue of the must-have
almanac for all witches and pagans.
About the Editor
Theitic is a prominent member of the New England
pagan community, and became editor/publisher of
The Witches’ Almanac Ltd. upon the death of founder
Elizabeth Pepper in 2005. Theitic lives in Rhode
Island. Visit him at www.thewitchesalmanac.com.

Fraternitatis (1614), Confessio Fraternitatis (1615), and The Chemical
Wedding of Christian Rosenkreuz (1616) with 30 original illustrations by
Hans Wildermann.
Four hundred years ago, the publication of these 3 anonymous
documents launched the Rosicrucian movement. Now they are

English translations, bringing this fascinating material to a wider

introductions, these new translations explain the historical context,

The English Magic Tarot
Illustrations by Rex Van Ryn,
Colorist Steve Dooley, Andy Letcher
Foreword by Philip Carr-Gomm
“Here, with this deck and book, you have the chance to explore the world of
English magic directly, engaging with its peculiar charms and eccentricities.
And with what excellent guides!”
—Philip Carr-Gomm, author of The Book of English Magic
This captivating new tarot deck draws us into the vibrant but often
hidden world of English magic, evoking a golden age of mysticism when
John Dee was Queen Elizabeth’s Court Astrologer, antiquarian John
Aubrey rediscovered ancient sacred sites, and the great physicist Isaac
Newton studied alchemy.
The English Magic Tarot places the cards in the colorful yet turbulent
period of English history that stretches from the time of Henry VIII
to the Restoration. During this time of upheaval archetypal forces
were very much at play, making this a perfect setting for the cards.
Brought to you by renowned artist Rex Van Ryn, colorist Steve Dooley,
and writer Andy Letcher, this deck has a dynamic, graphic style. There
are unique twists to some of the traditional images, with riddles,
references, and lore buried within them that will draw users ever
deeper into the mystery and meaning of the cards.
The first deck of its kind to draw explicitly on the English magical
tradition, The English Magic Tarot opens up a rich new pathway into the
cards that will delight novice and experienced tarot users alike.
A completely original tarot sure to
become an instant classic.
About the Contributors
Rex Van Ryn is an "English Magician" who has
worked as a story board and comic book artist on

Leaving the OCD Circus
Your Big Ticket Out of Having to Control
Every Little Thing
Kirsten Pagacz
“It’s like the meanest, wildest monkey running around my head,
constantly looking for ways to bite me.” That was how Kirsten Pagacz
described her OCD to her therapist on their first session when she
was well into her 30s—she’d been following orders from this mean
taskmaster for 20 years, without understanding why.
Help for the 3 million OCD sufferers
in the US alone!
About the Author
Kirsten Pagacz is the founder of
Retro-A-Go-Go, an online seller of
retro kitsch. She suffered from OCD
for two decades before discovering
that it had a name (and a cure).
Before founding her own company,
she worked in marketing and sales
for a number of Fortune 500 companies. She is a
member of the International OCD Foundation and
won first place in one of their art competitions.
Initially the tapping and counting and cleaning and ordering brought
her comfort and structure, two things lacking in her family life. But it
never lasted; the loathsome self-talk only intensified, and the rituals
she had to perform got more bizarre. By high school she was anorexic
and a substance abuser—common "shadow syndromes" of OCD. By
adulthood, she could barely hide her problems and held on to jobs
and friends through sheer grit. Help finally came in the form of a
miraculously well-timed public service announcement on NPR about
OCD—at last her illness had an identity.
Leaving the OCD Circus reveals the story of Pagacz’s traumatic childhood
and the escalation of her disorder—demonstrating how OCD works
to misshape a life from a very young age—and explains the various
tools she used for healing including meditation, cognitive behavioral
therapy, yoga, exposure therapy, and medication. Pieces of her art
scattered throughout the book add depth and humor to her stories.

52 Ways to Live the Course
in Miracles
Cultivate a Simpler, Slower, More Love-Filled Life
Karen Casey
The impact A Course In Miracles (ACIM) has had on Karen Casey’s
life is immeasurable. First introduced to ACIM during the early stages
of sobriety when she hung on to Alcoholics Anonymous like her life
depended on it (and, of course, it did), she yearned for something
that could quiet her near constant anxiety. ACIM has done that for her,
bringing her a simpler, softer, slower, and more loving life.
“Writing a book of essays about the course, suggesting how one can practice it
for personal benefit, is so pleasurable. Every word I write is a constant reminder
to me of how to cultivate greater peace in my own life. What could be better
than that? Nothing comes to mind, frankly.” —from the introduction
52 Ways to Live the Course In Miracles takes readers on a journey
through simple ideas and affirmations for meditation. Casey not only
offers an explanation of the ideas, but also shares her own experiences
with them—stumbles and all—offering proof of how helpful and
practical they really are and showing that the goal isn’t perfection, but
rather progress toward creating a life of love and peace.

Rumi's Little Book of
Love and Laughter
Teaching Stories and Fables
Coleman Barks, author of The Essential Rumi
Rowdy, ecstatic, and sometimes stern, these teaching stories and
fables reveal new and very human properties in Rumi's vision. Included
here are the notorious “Latin parts” that Reynold Nicholson felt were
too unseemly to appear in English in his 1920s translation. For Rumi,
anything that human beings do—however compulsive—affords a
glimpse into the inner life.
Here are more than 40 fables or teaching stories that deal with love,
laughter, death, betrayal, and the soul. The stories are exuberant,
earthy, and bursting with vitality—much like a painting by Hieronymus
Bosch or Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. The characters are guilty,
lecherous, tricky, ribald, and finally possessors of opened souls.
Love, laughter, and wisdom from one
of the best-loved poets of all time.
About the Author
Barks writes: "These teaching stories are a kind of scrimshaw—
intricately carved, busy figures, confused and threatening, and weirdly
funny.
This is an entertaining collection from one of the greatest spiritual
poets of all time, rendered by his most popular translator.
“The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you,
not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere.
They're in each other all along.” —Rumi
Coleman Barks is an American poet, a former
faculty member at the University of Georgia, and
a renowned interpreter of Rumi and other mystic
poets. He makes frequent international appearances
and is well-known throughout the Middle East. His
work has contributed to the creation of a strong
Rumi following in the English-speaking world and
the dissemination of Sufi ideas across many cultural
boundaries. Barks received an honorary doctorate
from Tehran University in 2006. He is the author of
many books and lives in Athens, Georgia.

The Weiser Book of the
Fantastic and Forgotten
Tales of the Supernatural, Strange, and Bizarre
Edited and Introduced by Judika Illes
The Weiser Book of the Fantastic and Forgotten features classic stories
by masters of occult fiction including Dion Fortune, Edgar Allan
Poe, Oscar Wilde, H. P. Lovecraft, Bram Stoker, Marie Corelli, R. W.
Chambers, and more—the very authors and tales that inspired modern
masters like Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, and Nic Pizzolatto. Edited
and introduced by leading occult author and scholar Judika Illes, this
selection of timeless tales will thrill and chill readers down to their
bones.
Illes writes, “These collected stories are each powerfully evocative;
forgotten in the manner of long-buried treasure. I hope to remedy
this situation, transforming the status of these tales from forgotten to
favorite. I confess: there is not a single story in this collection that I
do not enjoy, even after repeated readings.
While wonderful if read silently, the tales reveal their nuances, humor,
and suspense with even more potency, if read aloud. During the dark,
eerie hours, when the wind is blowing and the ghosts are roaming
outside, the night can be filled with pleasant terror.”
While not all of the stories are forgotten, they are all fantastic. They
make us think. They introduce and explore possibilities: things that
perhaps could happen. They encourage our minds to venture beyond
the mundane into the realm of the fantastic, to question and redefine
reality. Above all, they entertain.
Vintage tales for the modern occultist
and paranormal enthusiast.
About the Editor
Judika Illes fell in love with the
magical arts as a child and has
been studying them ever since. She
is the author of numerous books
about traditional spirituality,
witchcraft, and the occult
including The Encyclopedia of 5000
Spells, The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft, and Magic

A History of the Western Chakra System
from Blavatsky to Brennan
Kurt Leland
If you’ve ever had questions about the inconsistencies between chakra
systems or wondered where the names, colors, locations, and other
associations came from—you’ll find the answers here, along with 24
tables and 28 black-and-white illustrations showing how the Western
chakra system developed from the mid-19th through the 20th century,
many from rare and forgotten sources.
Based on the teachings of Indian Tantra, the chakras have been used
for centuries as focal points for healing, meditation, and achieving a
gamut of physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits, from improved
health to ultimate enlightenment. Contemporary yoga teachers, energy
healers, psychics, and self-help devotees think of the chakra system
as thousands of years old. Yet the most common version in use in the
West today came together as recently as 1977.
An extensive introduction to
chakras and energy healing.
About the Author
Kurt Leland is the author of The Multidimensional
Human. He is a national lecturer for the
Theosophical Society in America and a Bostonbased classical musician and award-winning
composer, and he maintains a consulting and
teaching practice called Spiritual Orienteering.
Never before has the story been told of how the Western chakra
system developed from its roots in Indian Tantra, through Blavatsky
to Leadbeater, Steiner to Alice Bailey, Jung to Joseph Campbell,
Ramakrishna to Aurobindo, and Esalen to Shirley MacLaine and Barbara
Brennan.

The Hero Is You
Sharpen Your Focus, Conquer Your Demons,
and Become the Writer You Were Born to Be
Kendra Levin, Certified Life Coach
An Open Center Book
Building on the archetypes in Joseph Campbell’s heroic journey, The
Hero Is You takes writers from the inception of a brand-new idea
straight through to completing a project, revising it, and sharing it
with the world.
Kendra Levin, a life coach who specializes in working with writers,
packs in practical tips and advice, craft tools, road-tested creative
exercises, and insights from other professional writers. Each chapter
digs into a single step in the creative process and coaches writers
through whatever challenges they may be experiencing. She offers a
healthier process by liberating writers from old issues and habits, and
she provides the courage and confidence to write as never before. And
by applying a coach’s insight to the work writers can do off the page,
in their everyday lives, she helps them to strengthen their writing
muscle and deepen their work accordingly. Designed as the kind of
reference writers return to often, it can be used on one’s own or with a
writing group.
After reading The Hero Is You, writers will have a more in-depth
understanding of the story structure and the archetypes that make up
the hero’s journey, a more effective writing process, feel more deeply in
tune with themselves, and be doing the best work of their lives.

The Key of Solomon
the King
Clavicula Salomonis
S. L. MacGregor Mathers
Foreword by Joseph Peterson
A magical grimoire of sigils and rituals for summoning and mastering
spirits, The Key of Solomon the King is the most famous, or infamous,
of all magick books. It has influenced everything from the revival of
magick and the Western Mystery Traditions (tarot, alchemy, astrology,
etc.) to fictional works such as Lovecraft’s The Necronomicon.
Purported to have been penned by King Solomon himself, the book
provides instruction for incantations, rituals, and sigils used to call
upon and control spirits and demons. Those practicing magick have
used it extensively through the centuries, but its true origins and
purpose have been lost in the mists of time.
New edition of a Weiser occult classic.
About the Author
No library of the contemporary occult student or practicing magician
is complete without this tome. It remains a standard of esoteric lore
by which others are measured. This edition includes a new foreword by
noted esoteric scholar Joseph Peterson.
S. L. MacGregor Mathers (1854–1918) was a
prominent scholar and key leader of the occult
revival of the Western Mystery Tradition in the late
1800s. He held high office in the esoteric fraternal
order of Rosicrucians and with other luminaries of
his time and founded the Hermetic Order of the
Golden Dawn.
Joseph Peterson has been studying and translating
religious and esoteric texts for decades. He has a
degree in Chemical Engineering from the University
of Minnesota, where he also studied various
languages and religions, and lives near Rochester,
Minnesota.

Tarot for One
The Art of Reading for Yourself
Courtney Weber
Courtney Weber has been teaching tarot and speaking at tarot symposia
around the country for a decade. Over the years, one of the things most
requested from her is a guide to doing self-readings. Since there was
nothing quite like that in the marketplace, she created Tarot for One,
which is a personal workbook and resource guide designed to help form
interpretations directly applicable to self-readings.
In Weber’s clean, clear style, this book includes a history of the tarot,
the Fool, the Major Arcana, the Court Cards, the Suit of Cups, the Suit
of Wands, the Suit of Swords, and the Suit of Pentacles, as well as what
she calls the beauty cards, the tough cards, reversals, practice spreads,
and next steps. She includes common associations as well as extensive
exercises to unlock readers’ own interpretations for connecting personal
journeys with the archetypical tarot. Readers will learn to let the voice
of the tarot come through without overlaying too much of their own
“stuff” during a reading.
Tarot for One includes dozens of original tarot spreads and layouts,
which have been repeatedly proven both fun and effective in Weber’s
classes and workshops. It also contains tips on finding a deck, honing
a tarot practice, and avoiding common self-reading pitfalls.
A popular pagan blogger on
Huffington Post, The Wild Hunt,

Reincarnation,
Plain & Simple
The Only Book You'll Ever Need
Jass and Krys Godly
From ancient roots in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Greek philosophy to
more modern conceptions of rebirth found in popular culture, the
notion that the soul can be reborn is a prevalent belief that continues
to fascinate. That fascination inevitably results in a number of
questions, including:
• How does our day-to-day life impact our future existences?
• Who were we before we were born?
• How do we find out about our previous incarnations?
This practical guide attempts to answer these questions and much
more. The Godly's provide step-by-step instructions for accessing
information about our previous lives and explore the four main
methods of learning about past lives:
1.
Recession
2.
Psychic readings
3.
Regression
4.
Spontaneous recall
Is it dejà vu all over again?
About the Authors
They also explore how reincarnation can clue us in to reoccurrences of
relationships, lingering memories, and even health problems.
Jass and Krys Godly are psychic mediums. They live
in England.
This is a refreshing and simple introduction to a topic that has
intrigued seers, sages, and mystics for centuries. It entertains,
enlightens, and informs.

The Lovecraft Code
Peter Levenda
Drawing on decades of experience, author and historian Peter Levenda
turns to the novel as the best and perhaps only way to tell a story that
has to be told—that hidden within the tales of America's most iconic
writer of gothic horror, H.P. Lovecraft, runs a vein of actual terror.
Gregory Angell, the present-day descendant of George Angell in
Lovecraft's “Call of Cthulhu,” is summoned by a nameless covert
agency of the US government to retrieve a sacred book from the
grasp of an Islamist terror network operating out of northern Iraq, in
the land of the Yezidi. Practitioners of a monotheistic religion with
mystical traditions, the Yezidi are all that's left of an ancient sect that
possessed the key to the origins of the human race and was in conflict
with another, more ancient civilization from beyond the stars.
Hailed by author Christopher Farnsworth (Blood Oath) as a "more
intelligent DaVinci Code" and by Whitley Strieber (The Key) as "a
riveting work of fiction," this book will thrill Lovecraft aficionados,
readers of reality-based thrillers, and conspiracy theorists alike.
A fascinating and frightening new
novel based on The Necronomicon.
About the Author
Peter Levenda’s esoteric titles include The Dark
Lord, Tantric Temples, and The Tantric Alchemist.
His histories include The Hitler Legacy and Ratline.
Levenda has appeared on the History Channel, the
Discovery Channel, the National Geographic Channel,
and TNT.

before anyone spoke? Or had a gut feeling about someone or
something that ultimately proved true? Most of us ignore experiences
like these because we can see no physical basis for believing in our
dormant psychic abilities. Call it intuition, a hunch, a feeling, or
ESP, this elusive knowledge can provide information, motivation,
or direction about various aspects of our lives. Nina Ashby, teaches
readers:
Do you sense what I sense?

of her psychic gifts even as a child and could see
colors around people, objects, and other living
things. She has spent many years training in various
forms of bodywork and energy healing, psychology,
yoga, meditation, astrology, palmistry, dowsing,
card reading, and psychic studies including
mediumship and all levels of psychic perception and
channeling. She lives in England.

2.
How to use techniques and exercises to develop and control your psychic abilities
This is a program that can quickly enhance anyone’s ability to go
beyond the 5 senses and enter another dimension of awareness. Find
out which psychic talents you possess and develop those particular
gifts with a mix of theory and practical exercises. Learn to understand
the body’s energy fields and auras and see why the spiritual plane
is every bit as important as the physical world. Then get a complete
psychic education, from cleansing rituals and focusing your inner
energy charges to reading auras and using divination techniques such
as tarot, I Ching, and psychometry to interpret signs and messages.
Charts, tables, and graphs illustrate the theories.

The Rainbow Diet
Unlock the Ancient Secrets to Health
Through Foods and Supplements
Deanna M. Minich, PhD, CN
What and how we eat can heal, brighten, balance, and strengthen parts
of us that need physical, emotional, and spiritual nourishment. In
The Rainbow Diet, nutritionist and mindbodygreen blogger Dr. Deanna
Minich shows us how to eat for mind, body, and spirit health by making
the right food and supplement choices. She brings together ancient
energy healing and modern science to provide a personalized, colorcoded system to help readers find their way to the “inner rainbow” of
optimal health.
Readers begin by taking a questionnaire included in the book to assess
each of their seven systems of health with results leading them further
into the areas where they need help. For example, if you’re feeling
anxious or ungrounded, you will be directed to read about “root”
issues and will find foods that heal ailments related to the root chakra
(associated with the color red) such as beets, tomatoes, strawberries,
pomegranates, apples, edible mushrooms, and root vegetables.
For each energy center, affirmations and other practices are also
offered, as are meal plans, supplements, and recipes. Lists, charts, and
diagrams help readers easily pinpoint their "issues," and the various
prescriptive options are all clearly explained. This is about food as
energy medicine.
Dr. Minich helps readers crack their inner “rainbow code” to feel and
look vibrant and healthy, inside and out.
Internationally recognized wellness
expert teaches how to heal mind,
body, and spirit through diet.

Chinese Astrology,
Plain & Simple
The Only Book You'll Ever Need
Jonathan Dee
Though perhaps less well-known here than its Western counterpart,
Chinese astrology is every bit as illuminating and provides an equally
valuable shortcut to self-knowledge. Jonathan Dee, the well-respected
author of several books on astrology, tarot, and fortune-telling, reveals
all the mysteries of the art in this informative volume.
Filled with legends, charts, and history, it contains all of the essentials
for working out your Chinese horoscope including the animal signs
for each birthday year, month, and hour. Each sign receives a richly
detailed and enlightening explanation.
Among the amusing and informative tidbits here:
• The rat is considered to be the sign of charm and is noted for its shrewdness, enterprise, and wealth. Rats are also prosperous, entrepreneurial, obsessive, anxious, bossy, and mean.
Are you a rat, a snake,
a monkey, or a goat?
• The ox is the sign of tenacity and prosperity and a symbol of fertility and muscular strength. People born under the ox are patient, contemplative, eloquent, chauvinistic, petty, and grumpy.
About the Author
Jonathan Dee was born in Wales and became
a professional astrologer, tarot card reader, and
clairvoyant in the 1970s, working all over the UK
and the US. Dee wrote a vast number of books,
covering Egyptology, mythology, astrology, the
tarot, and history. Published internationally, his
books have sold over 5 million copies to date.
• The monkey is lively, complex, charming, diplomatic, and agile. Monkeys are also dishonest, sarcastic, lacking respect, and restless.
Chinese Astrology, Plain and Simple is an accessible introduction that
enlightens, entertains, and informs.

The Little Book
of Letting Go
Cleanse Your Mind, Lift Your Spirit,
and Replenish Your Soul
Hugh Prather
Foreword by Gerald Jampolsky
"Letting go is the bottom-line key to happiness," states Hugh Prather.
And in The Little Book of Letting Go, he offers a simple 3-step process
for shedding prejudices, preconceptions, and pre-judgments and facing
each moment with openness and enthusiasm. Prather first explains
why it is essential to learn to let go and then outlines a 30-day plan
for spiritual renewal. Finally, he offers specific techniques for getting
a grip on habitual reactions, the need to control, and the addiction to
conflict.
In this little book on mental cleansing, Prather uses personal stories as
well as step-by-step exercises to help readers understand the rewards
and the process of letting go. For example, in the section on letting
go of guilt and hurtful actions, Prather suggests that for at least one
day readers "rise from sleep and make your purpose only this: 'I will
go through this day harmlessly. I will hurt no one in my thoughts or
in my actions, including myself.'" Prather also includes instructions on
how to let go of mental pollutants, misery, prediction and control, and
spiritual specialness.
"A treasure trove of practical, spiritual wisdom" —Joan Borysenko
“This little book can change your life." —Neale Donald Walsch
“Some of us think holding on
makes us strong, but sometimes
it is letting go.” —Hermann Hesse
About the Author
Hugh Prather was the author of
more than 14 books. He lived with
Gayle, his wife of more than 30
years, in Tucson, Arizona, where
he was the resident minister at
St. Francis in the Foothills United
Methodist Church. He died in 2010.
"Learning to let go is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself
and share with others. When you let go, you won't be sweating
the small stuff—or even the big stuff." —Richard Carlson

The Little Book of
Dream Symbols
The Essential Guide to the 700 Most Common Dreams
Jacqueline Towers
Did you know that a dream about a blanket can either be a warning to
guard your investments or a sign that you can expect financial gain—
depending on the context? Or that a dream about lightening generally
precedes good luck?
From the time Jacob dreamt of a ladder to heaven, through the era of
Freud and Jung, right up to the findings of the latest sleep research,
the wise have believed that dreams hold important secrets. In this
A–Z dictionary of dream symbols, a psychic counselor applies both
traditional and scientific approaches to provide a handy key to what
your dreams are saying. From anchor to zebra, all dream symbols are
analyzed, showing how they bring us messages, reveal our hidden
wishes and mental states, and even foretell our future. Readers
everywhere will use this little book to learn what their subconscious is
trying to communicate.
An essential bed-side reference.
Examples of dreams and their meanings:
• Alligator: Treachery and secret enemies are about
About the Author
• Garlic: You are on the way up and will achieve wealth
• Snakes: Forthcoming problems and deceit
• Vermin: Petty irritations
• Cancer: A long life, if you don’t overdo it!
• Parking: Time to wind down a relationship
This little dictionary is an ideal reference for your nightstand. When
you wake from sleep, quickly refer to this book and discover the
meaning of your dreams.

Chicano Movement For Beginners
Toni Morrison For Beginners
Maceo Montoya
Ron David
Foreword by Ilan Stavans
Illustrated by Dirk Shearer,
Foreword by Elizabeth Beaulieu
As the heyday of the Chicano Movement of the late 1960s
to early 70s fades further into history and as more and more
of its important figures pass on, so too does knowledge of
its significance. Thus, Chicano Movement For Beginners is an
important attempt to stave off historical amnesia. It seeks
to shed light on the multifaceted civil rights struggle known
as “El Movimiento” that galvanized the Mexican American
community, from laborers to student activists, giving them not
only a political voice to combat prejudice and inequality, but
also a new sense of cultural awareness and ethnic pride.
Beyond commemorating the past, Chicano Movement For
Beginners seeks to reaffirm the goals and spirit of the Chicano
Movement for the simple reason that many of the critical
issues Mexican American activists first brought to the nation’s
attention then—educational disadvantage, endemic poverty,
political exclusion, and social bias—remain as pervasive as
ever almost half a century later.
About the Author/Illustrator

38 Many people consider Morrison’s novels difficult to read.
Most of her readers have at least one book on their shelves
that they couldn’t finish or, when they did finish one, just
scratched their heads in confusion. And when we think we are
sure we know what she’s writing about, it turns out we are
half wrong or only getting the tip of the iceberg instead of the
whole, beautiful, brooding thing.
Toni Morrison For Beginners is about the woman, her books, her
mission, her word music, and all that subtext in her writings.
Morrison’s books are like the ocean: the surface is beautiful
but everything that gives them life lies beneath. She’s the
kind of writer who can change your life and this book is here
to help you navigate the words and the woman.
About the Author and Illustrator
Ron David, a former editor-in-chief of the For Beginners series,
is also the author of Toni Morrison Explained: A Reader’s Road Map
to the Novels (Random House, 2000). He has been awarded a NJ
State Council for the Arts fellowship for his novel-in-progress, The
Lebanese Book of the Dead. He lives in Kihei, Hawaii, with his wife,
the designer Susan David. Dirk Shearer is a freelance illustrator who
has created art for Spencer Gifts, Split Lip, Image Comics, and Evileye
Books. Dirk received his BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design.

Tesla For Beginners
Freemasonry For Beginners
Robert I. Sutherland-Cohen
Robert Lomas
Illustrated by Owen Brozman, Foreword by Jane Alcorn
Illustrated by Sarah Becan, Foreword by Gordon Echlin
The father of modern-day electricity and considered by some
to be the ultimate “mad scientist,” Nikola Tesla filed nearly
300 patents in his lifetime. Many of these patents resulted in
functioning inventions; others were little more than wideeyed dreams—or still await possible development. Tesla For
Beginners examines the man behind the alternating current
and wireless technologies who traveled from Serbia by
steamship to arrive in the United States with only four cents
in his pocket.
Nikola Tesla—a poet of invention—left behind a vast and
intriguing legacy that is demystified in this For Beginners
book.
About the Author and Illustrator
Robert I. Sutherland-Cohen holds a BS in mathematics from
Northeastern University and an MFA in directing from Boston
University. He has taught at Emerson College and Stockton State
College and has delivered guest lectures at Yale University, SUNY
Purchase, and West Chester University.
Freemasonry For Beginners explores the objectives and
teaching methods of Freemasonry and describes its influence
on society in the past, present, and future. It recounts the
origins of the movement in Scotland and its spread to North
America and the rest of the world. Not least of all, it shows
how Masonic teachings have helped so many members over the
centuries learn the skills to become leaders in society, science,
and the arts.
About the Author and Illustrator
Owen Brozman is the illustrator of the New York Times bestseller You
Have to F*cking Eat and the acclaimed graphic novel Nature of the
Beast. He has illustrated for National Geographic, Time Out New York,
Scholastic, Ninja Tune, Definitive Jux Records, and numerous other

Many people have heard of Freemasonry, but few have any idea
what it is, what it does, or why it exists. Freemasonry is not a
religion, but rather a spiritual self-help society whose declared
purpose is to help members become better citizens, and it
has a strong track record of doing just that since it began in
Scotland in the 15th century.

Cultivating Empathy
The Worth and Dignity of Every Person—
Without Exception
Nathan C. Walker
In this personal and emotionally honest exploration of conflict, the
Reverend Nathan C. Walker introduces a creative and compassionate
way to develop empathetic responses. He introduces the concept of the
moral imagination—a vital character trait used by those who have the
courage to project themselves into a conflict and understand all the
perspectives, aware that understanding need not imply agreement.
Cultivating Empathy presents a collection of essays about the author's
wrestlings with personal and cultural conflicts and his commitment
to stop “otherizing”—which occurs when we either demonize people
or romanticize them. Walker’s remedy for these kinds of projections
is to employ the moral imagination as an everyday spiritual practice.
He shows that through this approach, we can save ourselves from
irresponsibly using our imaginations by cultivating genuine empathy
for those we previously held in contempt. We can visualize ourselves
playing various characters within a conflict and choose not to play
a lead role in the drama. Throughout the book he endeavors to
find connection with skinheads, murderers, homophobic preachers,
privileged 1 percenters, and Monsanto executives.
An online companion workbook will help readers to hone these skills
through a variety of exercises
Introduces the concept
of the moral imagination.
About the Author
Nathan C. Walker is the executive director of the
Religious Freedom Center of the Newseum Institute
in Washington, D.C., where he teaches about
the guiding principles of the First Amendment
that enable Americans to negotiate religious and
philosophical differences in the public square
with civility and respect. A Unitarian Universalist
minister, he spent 15 years serving congregations
in Boston and New York and, for the last 7 of
those years, Philadelphia, where he was the
senior minister and executive director of the First
Unitarian Church.

Christ for Unitarian Universalists
Listening Hearts
A New Dialogue with
Traditional Christianity
Fourteen Gatherings for Reflection and Sharing
Scotty McLennan
Christ for Unitarian Universalists is an engaging and thoughtful
inquiry into Christianity for Unitarian Universalists and other
spiritual seekers—including skeptics, non-religious people,
liberal Christians, and those who consider themselves “spiritual
but not religious.” The book has several purposes. The first
is to present Christ in an understandable and compelling
way to the increasing number of people who do not consider
themselves Christian. The second is to present liberal and
progressive Christians with the non-dogmatic way that
Unitarian Universalists have viewed Christ through the Bible
and personal experience. And the third is to promote active
dialogue between non-Christians and the more than 70% of
Americans who identify themselves as Christian.
About the Author
Scotty McLennan is a Unitarian Universalist minister, lawyer,
educator, and author. He served for 15 years as the University
Chaplain at Tufts and another 15 years as Dean for Religious Life at
Stanford. He now teaches ethics at the Stanford Graduate School of
Business.

42 Christine Robinson and
Alicia Hawkins
This complete program guide provides everything needed for
a deep and powerful spiritual sharing group. From the authors
of Heart to Heart and Soul to Soul, this third volume in the
popular series contains fourteen new gatherings on topics
ranging from mental wellness and miracles to leaps of faith
and bucket lists. Each gathering includes an essay, inspiring
quotations, questions, and activities for participants to
reflect on at home, as well as a program for sharing about the
topics in a small group. A leader's guide at the back provides
instructions and advice for effective facilitation. Using a deep
listening method that allows participants to feel truly heard
in a safe setting, Robinson and Hawkins continue their rich
tradition of helping people gather in small groups and form a
sense of community while reflecting on life issues that affect
us all.
About the Author
Christine Robinson has been the Senior Minister of the First
Unitarian Church of Albuquerque, New Mexico, since 1988, and is an
enthusiastic supporter of small group ministry. She has participated
in many versions of this spiritual sharing model, both as a leader and
a participant. Most of the gatherings began as her sermons on these
topics. Alicia Hawkins is an inveterate collector of quotations and
resources for the spiritual journey. She helped develop and has been
involved in the small group ministry program of the First Unitarian
Church of Albuquerque since 2004.

The Zen of Listening is grounded in the Zen concept of
mindfulness, a simple yet profound way of learning how to
filter our distractions and be totally in the present. Rather
than a list of tricks, this book is an all-encompassing approach
allowing you to transform your life. Readers will be amazed at
how simply learning to focus intently on a speaker improves
the relationship, increases attention span, and helps develop
negotiating skills. This is a fun and practical guide filled with
simple strategies to use immediately to enjoy our personal and
professional lives to the fullest.

The key to healing for the thousands American vets who
are suffering, says psychotherapist Ed Tick, is in how we
understand PTSD. In war’s overwhelming violence, the soul—
the true self—flees and can become lost for life. He redefines
PTSD as a true identity disorder, with radical implications for
therapy. First, Tick establishes the traditional context of war
in mythology and religion. Then he describes in depth PTSD
in terms of identity issues. Finally, drawing on world spiritual
traditions, he presents ways to nurture a positive identity
based in compassion and forgiveness.
About the Author
Ed Tick, PhD, is a practicing psychotherapist for more than 30 years,
specializing in extensive and innovative work with survivors of severe
trauma and violence—particularly combat war veterans—sexual and
substance abuse victims, those with severe mental and emotional
disorders, men's issues and deeply rooted psycho-spiritual healing.
His remarkable work had taken him on healing journeys, spiritual
tours, lectures, educational classes and workshops around the globe,
and even to the position of co-founder of the Sanctuary International
Friendship Foundation, a non-profit agency that directs and raises
funds for projects to help heal war-torn Vietnam. He is also an
ordained interfaith minister.

Opening to Fullness of Spirit
Mastering Your Own Spiritual Freedom
Discovering Secrets of the Soul
Through Automatic Writing
Lessons from A Course in Miracles
Carolyn Greer Daly
Should you ever decide to shake your fist at God and demand
truth, hold on to your seat and prepare yourself for a spiritual
adventure the likes of which you’ve never imagined.
On Easter Sunday of 1971, Carolyn Greer Daly did exactly that
and found herself propelled across the sea of tradition onto the
foreign shores of another realm of reality. In innocent trust she
opened a door and stepped over the threshold with no idea of
where it would lead. Most stories have a beginning, middle,
and an end. Her fascinating story is different, as she writes:
“I’m not sure when it began—perhaps on Easter Sunday, 1971,
or perhaps hundreds of years before that date with a lady
named Ellen—and I doubt that it will end with my death. It is
my hope that this story will continue when someone else . . .
picks up a pen and finds me on the other side.”
About the Author
Carolyn Greer Daly grew up in Washington D.C. and the National Mall
was her playground. After her marriage she moved to Maryland where
she taught 8th grade Sunday school in a Methodist Church for several
years. During that time, she experienced a dark night of the soul
and began a personal search for truth that led to automatic writing,
a lifetime devoted to spiritual exploration through writing. She is
currently an associate editor of Awareness: Exploring Spirituality,
dedicated to expanding spiritual paths through professionally written
articles and columns.

44 James Nussbaumer
At age 50 and beginning a 10-year prison term for a securities
violation, James Nussbaumer had the time to absorb the
complex lessons of A Course In Miracles. Revealing to him the
nature of the prison in which virtually all of us dwell, a voice
told him what he needed to do. From there his first book, The
Master of Everything, was born. Mastering Your Own Spiritual
Freedom is its companion—a sequel. Both are down-to-earth,
accessible, and illustrate his life and experiences behind
prison walls. Readers will find an easy-to-follow path to
healing the separated mind: reaching illumination and finding
in your heart the free will that has been waiting for you,
mastery accomplished.
About the Author
James Nussbaumer had a successful 25-year career in the financial
services industry until facing the pressures of an economy in freefall
and a personal life in turmoil, he illegally withdrew $100,000 of his
clients’ funds to try to recoup the value of their investments. The
strategy failed and landed him in jail for 10 years. His time in prison
has been hell and also unexpectedly fruitful, resulting in his return to
his first love: writing.

Dance of Heavenly Bliss
Born Healers
Divine Inspiration for Humanity
Awakening, Nourishing &
Training the Healer Within
Garnet Schulhauser
In his first book, Dancing on a Stamp, Garnet Schulhauser
recounts how his life changed dramatically one day in 2007
when he was confronted on the street by a homeless man
named Albert (who was actually a wise spirit in disguise—an
emissary from the spirit world). Dance of Heavenly Bliss is the
third in the series and was written to instill in humans the
urgent need to discard their negative emotions and embrace
love and compassion for one another, for Mother Earth, and
for all the creatures who share our planet. It reveals that we
are all eternal souls traveling on unique journeys on Earth
designed to help us grow and evolve as souls. And when our
physical bodies perish we will all return to the spirit side
where we will be welcomed back with unconditional love, as
we eagerly plan the next steps in our evolution.
About the Author
Garnet Schulhauser is a retired lawyer who lives near Victoria on
Vancouver Island, with his wife, Cathy, and little dog, Abby. He grew
up on a small farm in Saskatchewan and moved to Calgary, Canada,
after law school where he practiced corporate law for more than 30
years with 2 blue-chip law firms.

Born Healers is a do-it-yourself guide to enhancing both
your personal vibration and your ability to channel that
vibration as healing energy to others. It also contains useful
information for those who are just starting out on the path of
hands-on healers, including working with the chakras and how
to structure a healing session.
Reverend Victoria Pendragon, DD was called to the layingon-of-hands by numerous healers who had worked with her
both during her 3 year bout with scleroderma and in the years
that followed her healing as she dealt with childhood sexual
abuse. After working one-on-one with clients for 16 years she
was called again, this time to share her gifts and her acquired
knowledge with a larger audience, helping both healers and
those who are in need of healing to help themselves.
About the Author
Victoria Pendragon was born and raised in the vicinity of
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has been working as a professional
in the field of spirituality since 1995 and reading tarot cards since
1964. Victoria began training in art when still a child, eventually
acquiring a BFA from The Philadelphia College of Art. Her work hangs
in numerous corporate and personal collections, among them The
Children's Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Moss Rehab, and
Bryn Mawr Hospital Rehab.

Embracing the
Human Journey
Waking Up
in the Spiritual Age
Patrick Andries
With an Angel as Your Guide
Dr. Dan Bird
We have a certain fascination with the
incredible untapped potential of our
minds. Some studies once suggested
that we use only 10% of the mind’s
capacity. Today that estimate has been
revised to about 2%–3%. Imagine what
more we could do with all of that as yet
unrealized potential. What is standing
in our way? How do we move into a
more full realization of who we are?
These are the questions that this book
seeks to answer.
Janie Wells
Embracing the Human Journey invites
the reader to join an angel named
Joann, who was Janie’s daughter when
she was alive, on an inward journey to
the soul. There are spiritual questions
to answer, spiritual techniques to
incorporate into your daily life, and
spiritual exercises to perform. Joann
guides you every step of the way on a
beautiful spiritual trail as she reveals
the meaning of our earthly existence
from an angel's perspective.
About the Author
Patrick Andries has degrees in physics
and biology from DePaul University and a
teaching certificate in metaphysics from
the College of Metaphysics. He has more
than 20 years of experience teaching and
applying the principles of metaphysics to
his life. He currently works at Silent Unity in
Unity Village, MO as a prayer minister and at
the Awaken Whole Life Center as an energy
healer.

Janie Wells is a survivor. No parent should
have to bury their child, but Janie was
catapulted instantly into the reality of
violent crime in 2001 with the capital
murder of her 30-year-old daughter. Grief
stricken, broken, and in shock, Janie
not only picked up the pieces of her life,
but discovered a passage to spiritual
transformation by living each moment with
honesty, raw emotion, and an open heart.

A major spiritual shift is occurring
in this world, and more people are
experiencing unexpected phenomena
in their daily lives. We might notice
unusual “signs” or have intuitive
thoughts, randomly hear a song a
past friend or relative loved or smell a
perfume that triggers a strong memory.
Most often these are tossed aside as
coincidences and immediately forgotten.
But what if there were no coincidences,
and everything happened for a reason?
What if we know much more than we
think, but simply haven’t learned to pay
attention to what is really happening
around us?
This book is for those who are
experiencing this shift but are not sure
of what they are feeling.
About the Author

topics since he was a teenager. He lives with

The Whole Brain
Path to Peace
Exploring the Role of Brain Hemispheres
in a Polarized World
James Olson
This updated edition of The Whole Brain Path to Peace, winner of
multiple national awards in its first edition, explores the profound role
that the radically different operating systems of our left- and rightbrain hemispheres play in our daily decisions.
Drawing on science, philosophy, and modern revelation, James Olson
explores how our brain’s lateral division results in two divergent ways
of responding to our world. Noting how one side of our brain tends to
dominate the other, Olson examines the distortions that can result and
explains how to minimize them. A whole-brain perspective allows us
to see the complementary nature of the two sides and helps to resolve
many conflicts.
In addition, The Whole Brain Path to Peace takes readers a crucial step
beyond the science of brain lateralization, inviting them to perceive
our world through whole-brain living. Olson explains how to achieve
greater internal harmony, both as individuals and as a culture, thus
