The contemporary décor transforms the guest experience with a warm and welcoming environment; features an innovative and contemporary design that is both flexible and functional. Developed and owned by Jackson Shaw, the Residence Inn ,along with the adjacent Fairfield Inn & Suites, are the first hotels developed in The Colony, TX in over ten years. A development by Walters Wedding Estates, The Chapel at Ana Villa, is the newest addition to Cascades at the Colony. The Grand Ballroom accommodates over 275 guests and embodies drama and sophistication. Built adjoining the Fairfield Inn & Suites, the Cascades Conference Center encompasses more than 6,400 SF of meeting space in The Colony, Texas. The flexible space includes the 3,100 SF Cascades Ballroom, two 700+ square foot additional meeting suites, a large pre-function area, as well as the Garden Pavilion. This space can accommodate up to 358 people in various configurations. The addition of a third hotel, along with several planned restaurants, to the already existing two hotels, events center, and commercial space, is the next step in Jackson Shaw’s vision for Cascades. Development Team Lewis W. Shaw, II Chairman and CEO Lewis W. Shaw, II, Chairman and CEO of ackson-Shaw Company, graduated from Wittenberg niversity, Springfield, Ohio, in 1966 with a BA in Liberal Arts. Mr. Shaw served 7 years in the . S. Air orce initially as a cryptologist and later as a T-38 instructor pilot. In 1972, Mr. Shaw joined IBM in Office roducts sales. In 1 97 4 , h e j o i n e d . C . ac k s o n C o m pa n y as a construction manager and leasing agent. Mr. Shaw purchased the company from the estate following the death of Mr. ackson. The growth of the company from a small local contractor and brokerage operation has focused on build-to-suit and speculative developments on a national basis. The company has been responsible for the construction or development of over 35 million square feet of commercial space representing a value in excess of 2 billion dollars. The core business of the company is centered on light office, light industrial, office/warehouse and hospitality development. Mr. Shaw also co-founded American eneral ospitality, Inc. in 1980 along with operating partner Steve orns. The company went public in 1996 and is now part of Meristar REIT (M X) and Interstate otels and Resorts (I R). Mr. Shaw continues his activities with several recent hotel developments and investments in Las Vegas, Dallas and acksonville. In 2003, Mr. Shaw was inducted into the North Texas Commercial Area Realtors (NCTAR) hall of fame. e serves on the Wittenberg niversity Board of Directors and is active in numerous local civic and national aviation organizations. Wheeler is resident and Chief Operating Officer. oining the company in 2005, Michele is responsible for the management and coordination of all major financial transactions and the ongoing operations of the company. Stone is Chief inancial Officer at ackson-Shaw. ohn is responsible for structuring, underwriting, and financing the company s investment and development activities. e also oversees the accounting function as well as the company s reporting to its third party capital relationships. Mr. Stone has been involved in commercial real estate for 22 years and began his career in 1991 with illwood in Dallas, Texas. Chase albraith is Chief Development Officer for ackson-Shaw. Chase is responsible for all areas of new development for the company. e joined ackson-Shaw in 1996 and has been directly responsible for the development and financing of new speculative and build-to-suit projects nationally in Texas, Nevada, Arizona, California and the Washington DC area. Most recently he oversaw master planning and development of the $500 million, 125 acre The Brick Yard in Beltsville, MD which includes just under 1 million square feet of office, flex and industrial and 1,200 transit oriented residential units on sixty acres.
