In the small city of Dierdorf in the Westerwald, a low mountain
range in western Germany, a true beauty magnet emerged in
2013 – the proVital studio. Excited customers will find effective and
promising beauty and wellness trends on over 600 square metres.
One highlight is the high-quality megaSun Sun&Wellness Centre,
where top-class megaSun tanning beds and Collariums® are presented
in an exclusively designed lounge.

his story is a special story. The studio operator
Josef Wimmer was faced with the major task of
transforming a completely obstructed cabin into
an attractive tanning area. No sooner said than done. The
original idea to install a lay-down apparatus was
good, but not optimal. This was because the sunbed
simply did not feel at home. Too many corners made it
difficult for the lay-down bed to find peace. Crooked and
unproportional angles proved to be a special challenge,
Josef Wimmer from
Traunstein
which complicated the conditions of setting up the tanning
bed. It simply was not possible to create an atmosphere of
well-being.
But Mr. Wimmer would not be Mr. Wimmer if he had not made a virtue
out of necessity. The clever tanning studio operator had already
managed to boost his turnover through intelligent customer
orientation. So now a new cabin concept needed to be created that
would draw people’s attention and spark curiosity to walk down new
tanning paths. Through productive lateral thinking the idea to provide
a megaSun pureENERGY 5.0 Tower with a brilliant home
assumed shape.
Mr. Wimmer took his technicians by the hand to turn his idea into reality,
thereby presenting himself in top entrepreneurial form. Craftsmanship
and a lot of love for our products were constructively implemented.
By constantly keeping the tower‘s brilliant effect in focus, a wellnessisland of light was created which provides the pureENERGY 5.0 with
a framework that optimally emphasizes the tower‘s perfect design.
Emotions were awakened; the best was highlighted. At the same time
the LED spotlights in the cabin ceiling seem like those on a big stage,
which causes a deeply emotional reaction. The gaze of the entering
customer is directly drawn to the megaSun pureENERGY 5.0 Tower,
which warmly opens its doors to promise a perfect tanning experience.
Mr Wimmer is a wonderful example of those people who, like
megaSun, open up new possibilities to revolutionize the
tanning bed market by walking down new paths, led by
their enthusiasm for and enjoyment of our products. After
all, having the courage to convey true values and thus implement
concepts with people in mind is what will lead us into a successful
future together with our partners and customers.

hat to do when the skin feels itchy and
taut and psoriasis is clearly visible,
leading
to
discomfort?
Psoriasis
patients, in particular, ask themselves again and
again whether the sun and/or a tanning bed could
have a positive effect on the skin disease.
Psoriasis is an excessive inflammatory reaction of the skin.
It is characterised by very flaky patches of skin, which cause
the skin of those affected to become taut and to itch. With just
a little ultraviolet light exposure from the sun or a tanning bed
the skin can already help to heal itself. This is because the
mechanism needed to defend against these inflammations
is regulated by a protein which prevents the inflammatory
process. Vitamin D contributes to increasing the production
of this protein and, as we all know, the body can produce
vitamin D itself through exposure to UVB radiation. That
is why the sun and – especially in the winter – tanning
bed have such a soothing/relieving effect on people with
psoriasis. Within just a few weeks the condition of the
psoriasis can be considerably improved by ultraviolet light. 25
