Convincing technology
Each type of bricks as
building material for roofs,
walls and floor are the basis
for the mainstays of the
KELLER HCW company
group. In the years of foundation just as today, the
construction of machines
and plants for the ceramic
industry is a firm and
successful main pillar of the
company.
Bricks, facing bricks, pavers,
hollow bricks, roof tiles, split
and floor tiles, drain pipes
and refractory products are
manufactured with the
KELLER HCW machines and
plants.
Especially the cost factor
time burdens the ceramic
industry: Many days can
pass until the clay becomes
a brick ready for shipment.
However, it does not have
to be that way, only
24 hours can be enough.
In collaboration with the
industry, KELLER HCW has
developed a production
line reducing the time workflow within this dimension.
By the new fast firing
method, not more than ten
hours are necessary to fire
not only flat tiles in the flat
firing method, but also the
necessary special shaped
products.
Moreover, the hot air from
the cooling zone of the kiln
is used for the final dryer.
This dryer dehumidifies the
brick to at least one
percent.
At KELLER HCW it goes
without saying that these
systems are designed
variably and for different
types of bricks.
From preparation to shipping the KELLER HCW
production line arranges for
the smooth operation.

Preparation, shaping
When it comes to the manufacturing of high-quality
ceramic products, the quality of the source material
is of vital importance. This
includes that the clay material shows an absolutely
homogeneous consistency
with exactly defined properties and is free of impurities. A precondition which
can only be fulfilled when
the appropriate technology
is available to prepare the
clay specifically right from
the start. Each clay pit
supplies another source
material. Therefore,
KELLER HCW offers different
machine and plant concepts for the effective
material preparation and
shaping.

It is the aim to find out for
which product the raw material is suitable and which
demands are made on the
production and consequently on the plant.
On the basis of the objectively determined data, the
tests carried out and the
long lasting experience,

The modern Poroton brick
has porous properties which
are achieved by adding different materials. Through
these substances which
cannot be replaced by
other ones, low temperature carbonization gases
and thus emissions emerge
during the firing process. The
flue gas cleaning method
developed by KELLER HCW
prevents that this low temperature carbonization gas
flows under the flue gas offtake system and thus to the
atmosphere.
