Ephesians 6:10-12

Paul has spoken of unity, right relationships and the life of holiness… now he tells us how.
Spiritual fitness does not come naturally
• Be strong in the Lord
• Our strength comes from him
Let’s look at God’s strength in two ways …
I.
God’s Presence

Acts 1:8 Power, when the Holy Spirit comes upon us
Strength comes when I am in contact with both God and my surroundings
This is a process, and it is never complete in this life
II. God’s Power

Paul moves from the seen to the unseen
• Spiritual battles, spiritual strength
The Christian’s strength is like the warrior’s armor
God gives power and strength to stand
• some offensive, some defensive
Who needs this power?
• Satan only ignores those who are already his
Jesus promises victory
Full armor
God never gives a goal without the power to reach it
• Holy living is the goal
• God’s presence and power equips us to reach it
All women are invited to a baby shower for Amber and Derrick Cronsell's twins, Evelyn and
Charlotte, on Saturday, October 15th at 10 a.m. at the home of Lou Ann Martin, 20915 E. Berry
Ave. Centennial. Let's celebrate their birth with a diaper shower, they are needing disposable
diaper sizes 1 and 2. Our Student Ministries students are selling 2017 Chick-Fil-A calendars that includes a card
for monthly free menu items. Calendars are $9 and can be purchased from many of our
students. If you like to purchase the calendar with a credit card or have questions please see
Pastor Troy.
Our opportunity to help at the Food Bank of the Rockies will be Monday, October 17th from
12:30 - 3:30. We are involved in sorting food that goes to the needy in the Denver area. If you
want to carpool from the church at noon, or have any questions, contact Lou Ann Martin.
