A Message from Roger
RBH Sound was founded in 1976 in Los Angeles, CA. Our company’s initial business model was that of an
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). For many years, we built product for, and/or provided engineering
and speaker design consulting for, industry leaders such as McIntosh, Fosgate Audionics, Parasound and JBL.
In 1986, RBH Sound relocated to Utah. Additionally, the company’s business model was modified.
We shifted our focus to building name recognition for RBH Sound and reducing the company’s
dependency on OEM accounts. I am pleased to say that after thirty-seven years, I am one of the
few remaining owner/operators in the high performance loudspeaker industry from that era.
The RBH Sound product offering is a culmination of thirty-seven years of design and engineering
experience; tempered by industry momentum and feedback from RBH Sound Dealers. Our products
have been reviewed and tested by almost every custom install magazine and publication. The awards
and accolades RBH Sound has received from the industry is a testament to our commitment to quality
and performance. One example of this is Electronic House Magazine’s “Product of the Year” award;
which, RBH Sound won for seven consecutive years. RBH Sound products are used in many applications
including new home construction, light commercial, retrofit and remodel. The RBH Sound product
line includes in-ceiling speakers, in-wall speakers, freestanding speakers, on-wall speakers, outdoor
speakers, compact speakers, commercial speakers, amplifiers, electronics and numerous accessories.
RBH Sound products are drastically different from the mass-produced audio products found on
retail shelves. In fact, you will not find our products on the shelves of any mass retailer or big box
store. RBH Sound supports and partners with custom installation companies and high-end audio
video salons that are trained to understand the complexities of installing home theater, multi-room
audio and outdoor audio systems. We encourage our dealers to use the internet as an education
tool, but we do not authorize any company to sell RBH Sound products on the Internet.

Signature SX T System
The Signature SX T System Series is designed
specifically for the most demanding audio and home
theater enthusiast. The system conveys the sheer thrill
of action movies and the delicacy of the finest music
recordings as no other speaker can. Despite its muscle,
the T System can reproduce the softest whisper with
the realism and depth serious audio enthusiasts
demand. Even the largest home theaters pose no
challenge to the T System’s power and dynamics. All
models are currently available in a standard black ash
or sandalwood finish with a black satin front baffle, or
30 different custom veneer finishes.*
SX-T1 »
A dispersion-averaging alignment
combined with RBH’s aluminum cone
technology is the primary reason
behind the unbelievable performance
of the SX-T1. Inheriting the awardwinning Signature Series T1’s driver
configuration, the mirror-image SX-T1
focuses the sound at the listening
position for incredible imaging. The
SX-T1 employs four 6½-inch aluminum
cone woofers and three 1-inch silk
dome tweeters and can be used alone or atop a SX-1010
subwoofer. When combined with a SX-1010 subwoofer,
the result is nothing short of an astounding acoustic
experience. When the SX-T1 is paired with the SX-1010, the
system is capable of handling copious amounts of power
while delivering paramount fidelity and performance in
even the largest home theater or listening room.

The SX-T1/R employs four 6½-inch
reference aluminum cone woofers and
three 1-inch reference liquid-cooled
silk dome tweeters in a dispersionaveraging alignment for the ultimate
in sound quality and performance.
The SX-T1/R’s driver configuration
focuses the sound at the listening
position for incredible imaging.
Available as a mirror-imaged pair, the
SX-T1/R can be used alone as a freestanding speaker,
or paired up with a SX-1010N/R subwoofer to create an
amazing acoustic experience. When the SX-T1/R is paired
with the SX-1010N it is capable of handling large amounts
of power while delivering the best fidelity and performance
in even the largest home theater or listening room.
SX-T2N or SX-T2P (SX-T2) »
The RBH SX-T2, a modular speaker system,
features an SX-T1 mounted atop a SX-1010N and
secured in place with T System clamping brackets.
Designed for larger home theaters and listening
rooms, the SX-T2 is capable of high power
handling while delivering award-winning fidelity
and performance. The combination of the SX-T1’s
image-focusing driver alignment and clarity with
the stunning bass performance of the SX-1010N
provides amazing performance for large-scale
music and home theater systems.
SX-T2N/R or SX-T2P/R (SX-T2/R) »
Designed for larger home theaters and listening rooms
requiring reference-level performance, the modular RBH
SX-T2/R consists of an SX-T1/R securely mounted atop a
SX-1010N/R. Outfitted with reference-grade components,
the SX-T2/R greatly improves upon the award-winning
performance of its sibling, the SX-T2. The Danish tweeters
boast improved resolution through the use of a larger
motor structure and increased power handling. The
6½-inch aluminum cone woofers that give the Signature
Series its great bass to upper-midrange performance are
upgraded to a more advanced aluminum cone woofer
featuring a fixed-position phase plug. The addition of
this phase plug extends the frequency response of the
woofers, resulting in increased clarity. Also upgraded are
the dual 10-inch subwoofers, with vastly enhanced motor
structures which give the subwoofers higher output
capability and increased power handling.

« SX-T3N/R or SX-T3P/R (SX-T3/R)
The SX-T3 is one of RBH’s T System modular
speakers. An SX-T3 is essentially an SX-T2 with
an additional SX-1010N mounted above the
SX-T1 for astonishing dynamic range and bass
impact. Capable of producing sound pressure
levels rivaling a commercial theater, the SX-T3 is
not for the timid. It provides astounding sonic
clarity and delivers the ultimate in performance
for large-scale music and home theater systems.
Another benefit of the SX-T3 is its flexibility with
regards to system configuration; allowing for both
full-range and LFE configurations for the SX-1010N
subwoofers. As with other T System models, the
SX-T1 and SX-1010N “modules” are secured together
using the included T System clamping brackets.
The Signature SX Series flagship SX-T3/R is the
epitome of perfection in RBH Sound’s modular T
System. Consisting of dual SX-1010N/R reference
grade subwoofers perfectly mated with an
SX-T1/R, the SX-T3/R is definitely not a speaker
system for the faint of heart. While the SX-T3/R
is more than capable of reproducing even the
softest of whispers, it also carries enough
punch to knock you back in your seat. Just
like its smaller sibling, the SX-T2/R, reference
grade components are utilized throughout
the SX-T3/R’s design to make it the highest
performance speaker in RBH Sound’s lineup.
Encompassing the best of what the T System
has to offer, the towering SX-T3/R’s
configuration options allow for both full-range
and LFE configurations for the SX-1010N/R
subwoofers, making it a must-have for the
high-end audio and home theater connoisseur.

Freestanding Speakers
SX-6300/R »
Bestowing big sound from its small
profile is the SX-6300/R’s specialty. Three
6½-inch aluminum cone subwoofers, two
4-inch reference aluminum cone woofers,
and a 1-inch reference silk dome tweeter
work together to deliver first class detail
and accuracy. The SX-6300/R has the
capability of accurately reproducing
the loudest explosions as well as the
softest whispers, making it the perfect
tower speaker for high fidelity music and
home theater systems. To optimize its
performance, the SX-6300/R can be biwired or bi-amplified via the high quality,
dual 5-way binding posts. Shown here

The Signature SX Reference Series was crafted specifically
for the hard to please. Expanding on the superb
performance of the SX Series, this series employs referencegrade components to satisfy even the most demanding
audiophile. These high performance components work
together to extend and enhance frequency response
and resolution. The introduction of these referencegrade components into the SX Series’ curved cabinetry
significantly increases the sound quality, power handling
and overall performance of each speaker model in the
series. The SX Reference Series is finished in a very
attractive standard matte black ash or sandalwood, or
choose from 30 different custom veneer finishes.*

aspect. The SX-8300/R features RBH
Sound’s award-winning aluminum

subwoofers, dual 6½-inch mid-range

The SX-44/R surround channel speaker employs
dual, in-phase 4-inch reference aluminum cone
woofers and dual out-of-phase 1-inch reference
silk dome tweeters. The bi-/di-polar combination
results in articulate yet diffuse high frequencies
and powerful bass. This combination is designed
to prevent the pinpointing of its exact location
by your ear. The SX-44/R is designed to be easily
installed on a wall using its integrated keyhole brackets, and is

Our ultimate on-wall surround speaker.
The SX-66/R’s dual 6½-inch aluminum
cone reference woofers and dual 1-inch
silk done tweeters will totally immerse
you in a pillow of reference-level
surround sound. The bi-/di-polar
configuration provides diffuse surround
causing you to lose yourself in the action.
Recommended for medium to large theaters, the
SX-66/R is easily installed using integrated keyhole brackets.
The SX-61/R provides an abundance of full, precise,

« SX-1010N & SX-1010N/R
Inheriting the award-winning performance
from its 1010-SEN sibling, the SX-1010N
combines style with brute strength and
precision. Dual 10-inch aluminum cone
woofers and a front-firing vent work in unison
to outperform subwoofers costing much more.
The non-powered version of the SX-1010P,
the SX-1010N is designed to be used with
an outboard subwoofer amplifier. Referencegrade 10-inch aluminum cone woofers give
the SX-1010N/R an awesome performance
boost, leaving the competition’s subwoofers wishing
they had more to give. As part of the Signature SX T System, the
SX-1010N is designed to support the SX-T1, while the SX-1010N/R is
designed to function as the lower foundation for the SX-T1/R. Shown

SX-1010P & SX-1010P/R
The SX-1010P is the result of the successful fusion of dual 10-inch
aluminum cone woofers with an integrated 400 Watt RMS power
amplifier. The SX-1010P boasts overwhelmingly deep and stalwart bass
with clarity not typically found in subwoofers capable of such high
output levels. The reference version of the SX-1010P, the SX-1010P/R
boasts an additional 150 Watts for a total continuous power of 550
Watts RMS. All that power is fed into dual 10-inch reference long-throw
woofers to make the SX-1010P/R one of the most powerful and highest
performance subwoofers that RBH manufactures.

When space is at a premium, yet remarkable
bass performance is the goal, it’s time for the
S-8. Sharing the same 150 Watt amplifier as its
larger sibling, the S-8 delivers much more than
one would think given its small size. The S-8 is
recommended for smaller rooms and areas and

subwoofer incorporates RBH’s award

Built for all-out performance, the SX-12

the SX-12, the SX-12/R employs a longthrow 12-inch driver and a 500 Watt

The SX-1212N and SX-1212N/R non-powered
subwoofers combine style with brute

aluminum cone woofers and a bottomfiring vent work in unison to outperform
subwoofers costing much more. Both the
SX-1212N and SX-1212N/R are designed
to be used with a outboard subwoofer
amplifier (sold separately). Both subwoofers
are designed for larger home theaters and
listening environments. The SX-1212N/R
features reference grade, long-throw
woofers and thus is capable of much higher
power handling and performance. .

The SX-1212P is the result of the successful
fusion of dual 12-inch aluminum cone
woofers with an integrated 500 Watt RMS
power amplifier. The SX-1212P boasts
overwhelmingly deep and stalwart bass
with clarity not typically found in
subwoofers capable of such high output
levels. The reference version of the
SX-1212P, the SX-1212P/R boasts a
total continuous power of 2,400 Watts
(110 Volts) and 3,200 Watts (220 Volts
- single phase). All that power is fed
into dual 12-inch reference long-throw
woofers to make the SX-1212P/R the
most powerful and highest performance
subwoofer RBH manufactures.

RBH Sound’s Signature Reference
Series In-wall speakers are
designed to provide award-winning
sound quality in custom, built-in
environments. Signature Series
In-wall speakers provide a true
timbre-match to Signature Series
floor-standing speakers because
they feature the same high
quality components. Each model
includes a rigid MDF (medium
density fiberboard) enclosure and
is intended for new construction
or renovation applications.
Signature Series In-wall speakers
are intended for the finicky listener
who wants purity of sound built
into their home. Until now this has
only been available in high-end
floor-standing speakers.
« SI-740/R
The reference version of
the SI-663, the SI-663/R
is designed for demanding
custom installations
where a center channel
cannot be used or is
intentionally removed for
design considerations.
When wired for dual
channel operation, a pair
of the SI-663/R reference
in-wall speakers can
provide a discrete and
dedicated center channel
from the left and right
speakers. When three
SI-663/Rs can be used,
the trio wired in singlechannel configuration,
can provide a seamless,
reference level front
sound stage from their
covert in-wall locations.
The SI-740/R, the
reference version of
the SI-740, excels as
main and surround
speakers in an in-wall
home theater system.

Considered to be one
of RBH’s most versatile
in-wall speakers,
the SI-760/R can be
used horizontally or
vertically for custom
home theater systems
or listening rooms. As
the reference version
of the SI-760, the
SI-760/R performs as
main, center or surround
speakers in a surround sound system.

RBH’s Signature Series In-wall speakers are designed to provide

Signature Series In-wall speakers provide a true timbre-match
to Signature Series floor-standing speakers because they feature
the same high quality components. Each model includes a rigid
MDF (medium density fiberboard) enclosure and is intended
for new construction or renovation applications. Signature
Series In-wall speakers are intended for the finicky listener who
wants purity of sound built into their home. Until now this
has only been available in high-end floor-standing speakers.

The SI-744 is a unique surround channel solution, since it is capable of single- or dual-channel
operation. When wired in dual channel mode, the SI-744’s front-firing drivers can play side surround
channel audio and the rear-firing drivers can play rear surround channel audio. This configuration
can provide all four surround channels in a 7.1-channel surround sound system from one pair of
SI-744s. This can be very beneficial when a room’s design prevents another set of rear speakers from
being integrated into the surround system. When wired in single-channel mode, the SI-744 presents
its listeners with a bi-polar dispersed sound field for increased surround coverage.

The SI-1010 is a dual 10-inch non-powered

RBH Sound’s Compact Theater (CTx) Series
is unlike any other “mini” home theater
system. Missing from the CTx Series are
the flimsy enclosures and cheap papercone woofers typical of “Home Theater

Resonance Damping Alloy Baffle
Technology
RDAB technology dampens cabinet vibrations and minimizes tweeter diffraction for increased sound quality and performance. RDAB not only enhances the clarity of the speaker,
it tempts you to leave the grilles off!
70 Volt Compatible
A built-in transformer allows the speaker to be used with 70 Volt amplifiers. Typically
RBH Sound transformers feature multi-Watt taps to allow for greater flexibility.
Bi-polar/Di-polar
Bi-polar and Di-polar speakers have more than one tweeter, and usually the
second tweeter is located on an opposing surface to the first tweeter. Bi-polar
speakers are in-phase with each other, while Di-polar speakers are out-of-phase
with each other. The advantage of Bi-polar and Di-polar speakers is their ability
to emit the same (Bi), or opposite (Di), sound from both surfaces at the same
time. The reflections of an omnidirectional sound source like this trick the ear
into “hearing” a larger presence and, in certain cases, diffuse the sound to
prevent the ear from pinpointing the actual location of the speaker. RBH Sound
utilizes this technology for surround speakers in a home theater system.
Dispersion Control
This feature allows the speaker to either focus its sound in a closer
area or broaden the sound to encompass a larger area.
Dual Voice Coil/Single Point Stereo
The use of dual tweeters and dual voice coils in the woofer allow speakers
with this technology to play both channels of a stereo audio signal.
Left, Center, Right
This feature allows a speaker to be used for the left, center or right channels
in a home theater system. Speakers with this capability have another special
feature, such as a 15-degree offset or additional drivers, which give the
speaker home theater capabilities beyond that of a regular speaker.
Swivel Tweeter
Swivel tweeters allow the directional high frequencies to be aimed
at the listening position for better frequency response.
Treble Contour Switch
This switch allows the tweeter’s output level to be increased or decreased by 3
decibels to provide better sound quality and to better match the listener’s tastes.
