There are six Photographic Society of America (PSA) divisions: Projected Image
Division (PID), Nature Division (ND), Photojournalism Division (PJD), Photo Travel
Division (PTD), Pictorial Print Division (PPD) and 3D Division (3DD).
Divisions identify the top exhibitors, worldwide, on an annual basis through
the publication of a Who’s Who listing in the PSA Journal. This listing includes all
photographers who achieve an established level of success by participating in
PSA-recognized exhibitions, whether they are PSA members or not.
The number of Exhibitions recognized by PSA divisions grew from 393 in 2012 to 551
in 2013 with a total number of 980 judgings in 2013.
The following is PSA’s annual record of exhibitors in all divisions and sections of the
Projected Image, Nature, Photojournalism, Photo Travel, Pictorial Print and 3D Divisions
who have met the minimum number of acceptances in PSA-recognized exhibitions in 2013.
The minimum number is 5% of the total possible acceptances in each division’s
section and therefore, dependent upon the number of judgings that year in that division’s
section. The minimum number and the exhibitions for that year are listed with each
division’s section. If the minimum number is four or less, the added requirement is
acceptances in two or more judgings. Any section with 20 or fewer judgings must meet
this requirement.
The asterisk symbol (*) denotes that the exhibitor has provided judging services in
that division. The number of acceptance credits given depends upon the number of judges
on the panel: 3 judges=3 Acc, 4 or 5=2 Acc, 6 to 10=1 Acc and more than 10= no Acc.
A judge must have acceptances in that division’s section of other exhibitions in order to
receive credit. Jdg = number of judgings entered according to EDAS records and Acc =
total number of Acceptances.
Every effort has been made to provide accurate information; however, with digital
reporting we are dependent on the accuracy of the exhibition’s results as provided on
EDAS’s. Name and country designation variation from one exhibition’s data to another
prevents merging of acceptance results. Use of non-English/Latin characters in names or
image titles can result in removal from exhibition results.
Note that exhibitions who failed to provide timely EDAS may not be included in this
edition and may have jeopardized receiving recognition the following year.
Catalog errors should be reported immediately to the exhibition and appropriate Who’s
Who and Star Rating Directors. Corrections must be confirmed by the exhibition.
Errors in the Who’s Who published listings must be reported immediately to the
appropriate Who’s Who Division Director by email. Attach an Excel file list with acceptance
image titles in each exhibition separately. You may also wish to send a copy to Margaret
Boike, Who’s Who Committee Co-Chairman. Deadline for corrections is August 1, 2014.
Corrections will be published in the November 2014 issue of the PSA Journal.
All PSA Members who are among the top ten (10) in each Division’s annual Who’s
Who section listings, without regard to geographic areas, receive a Who’s Who certificate.
In divisions that list fewer than ten (10) exhibitors “in the box,” all PSA members in those
listings shall receive Who’s Who certificates.
Certificates for the 2013 top Exhibitors will be prepared and mailed no later than
January 2015.
PSA members who are among the top three (3) in each division’s Who’s Who section
listings are invited to submit two images for possible inclusion in the PSA Who’s Who in
Photography publication.
All of us in PSA Exhibition Services, Exhibition Standards Directors, Who’s
Who Directors, and Star Ratings Directors, are thankful to those exhibitions that took
advantage of the instructions on the PSA website in submitting both catalogs and
Exhibition Data Acceptances Spreadsheets (EDAS). We understand it has not been easy
for some to understand these instructions but appreciate the efforts of those who have
worked with us in resolving a number of issues.

The Projected Image Division is split into Color
and Monochrome. There was a total of 584 Salon
Judgings within the PID in 2013, but only 568
returns were received in time for inclusion in the
Who’s Who listing. Of these, 418 were Color and
150 Monochrome. To take them in turn:
Colour: 418 PSA-recognized judgings results
were received, thus a maximum 1,672 acceptances
was possible from an individual. To be included in
this listing of Who’s Who in Photography 2013, an
entrant must have gained a minimum of 5% of all
the possible acceptances, thus at least 84 (rounded
up) Acceptances were required.

The PSA Ethics statement was recently revised so that the ethics statement
would require all persons, not just PSA members, participating in international
exhibitions or PSA activities to abide by the statement. In 2012 the Ethics Review
Board was given authority over non-members and this change to the ethics
statement reinforces and strengthens that ability.
The New Photographic Society Of America
Ethics Statement
A person participating in activities of the Photographic Society of America (PSA)
or activities recognized by PSA shall act in accordance with all PSA policies,
both as written and as obviously intended, without reservation. All participants
shall be honest in performing and reporting services to the Society. Participants
shall be ethical in making and presenting photographic images. Participants not
in compliance with this ethics statement will be subject to sanctions by PSA,
including loss of PSA membership and/or awards and honors if a PSA Member.
Photographic Society of America (PSA) Ethics Policy Statement
1. a. Images submitted to competitions shall originate as photographs by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry the photographer certifies the work, including the original capture, as his/her own, including any adjustments or editing of digital image captures *.
b. Each Image must have a unique title. Once an image has been accepted in a PSA-recognized exhibition, that same image, or a like “in camera” or “reproduction” duplicate of that image:
i. May not be re-entered in any section of the same Division in that exhibition regardless of media, format, or title.
ii. May not be re-titled for entry in any other PSA-recognized exhibition.
iii. Monochrome images and Color images from the
same capture shall be considered different images.
c. Images submitted in internal competitions, contests, workshops, study-groups and the like shall strictly follow these standards, both written and as obviously intended, without reservation.
2. Information included in honors and awards proposals shall be exact and true.
3. Material submitted for possible publication in the PSA Journal and/or the PSA
Website shall be solely the work of the author(s)*. Only PSA members may
submit such material. Quotations from other material or gathered orally shall
be carefully cited with credits given for all illustrations used, and permission to
use copyrighted material must be obtained by the author and included with the
material submitted.
* Informative Note: In this context, work of the maker means that the work does not
include any material copyrighted by others or commercial clip art elements, including
borders, graphics or photographs. Use of filters, such as those in Photoshop® or third

All exhibitors, who have acceptances in PSA-recognized
exhibitions and meet the minimum standards of each division
for inclusion, will be listed in the PSA’s Who’s Who in
Photography publication—the only such listing in the world for
over the past 50 years. PSA members have the opportunity to
