On behalf of the CIF Board of Managers and our host University of San Diego, it’s a pleasure to showcase these remarkable teams and student/athletes. More than 1,000,000 high school students take part in CIF sports in California. They’re outstanding representatives of all young people, and we truly appreciate your support of them. Their level of play, their spirit and commitment, and their respect for coaches and opponents, are the hallmarks of the CIF San Diego Section. Regardless of the outcome of today’s matches, we are extremely proud of all the teams and athletes competing, and we hope you are, too. We ask that all spectators exhibit the same good sportsmanship and respect that our student/ athletes display. The coaches and officials working at the Championships have devoted untold hours in support of high school athletics, and they all deserve our thanks and respect. Please maintain the positive atmosphere t hat our student/athletes, coaches and officials deserve. Jerry Schniepp We sincerely appreciate your attendance today, and join with you in supporting all the teams and athletes that are competing. We have a rich tradition of athletic excellence in the San Diego Section, and today’s games will provide another great chapter. Whether you’re here for a single game or all five, we hope you enjoy the unmatched experience of high school athletic championships.
