Club Jackets For Sale
We still have one of our original Darker gray and Black club jackets in size Large for sale. The
price is $35.00. We have one of the Light Gray jackets left in a size X-Large at $35.00. We also still
have some of the club jackets which are black in color with white stripes on the bottom and a
detachable hood in assorted sizes at $40.00 and they do run a little small so you need to order a larger
size than you usually wear. We also have a new style jacket which is black with blue lettering and
graphics. These jackets run pretty true to size. The M, L, and X-Large sizes are $42.00, the XX-Large
size is $45.00 and the XXX-Large size is $48.00. You can come out and try one on for size to see

LCCC Sweatshirts for Sale
The Lemont Classic Car Club also has some royal blue sweatshirt jackets with a hood and a
full zipper up the front for sale. We currently only have a few of these jackets left but we will can
order more if our members want them. If you wish to place an order for a sweatshirt in your size call
and when we get enough people to sign up we will reorder. The price is $22.00. Call Sharen @
708-301-8899 to order a sweatshirt jacket. We also have club hats available in various colors for
$3.00 each.

Drag Plaques Are Still Available
The Lemont Classic Car Club had Drag Plaques made with our club name and logo on them.
The plaque attaches to you back license plate or bumper and is approximately 5" X 9" in size. They are made of
Cast Aluminum and can be painted to match your car. The price is $18.00. We ordered 60 Drag Plaques and
we only have 11 remaining. If you wish to purchase one please do it quickly because when they are gone they
are gone. We will not be ordering any more. The Lemont Classic Car Club paid the $100.00 set up fee and the
shipping charges so the plaques are being sold at cost with no additional charges. For more information. Call

Dues for the 2015 were due on January 1st, 2015. A regular membership is $20.00, a
spouse or family member is $10.00 and we now have a Senior discount of $10.00 for anyone

membership card you are already paid for this year. Your dues entitles you to a Club Newsletter

We are glad to have you join us in The Lemont Classic Car Club.
The Tom Anderson Fund
Ed and Glenda Anderson have established a memorial fund in the name of Ed’s brother Tom, who
passed away last year. Any and all funds that are donated to this fund will be used for our “Little Cruisers”
Christmas party in December. Tom always attended this Lemont Classic Car Club event to help us try to give
the children a nicer Christmas. The “Little Cruisers” are the children who’s families use the Lemont Food
Pantry for some extra help to make ends meet in these hard economic times. We host a Christmas party for the
children and their families at the Lemont Township Center where we have a nice luncheon that is catered by
Chesdan’s Pizzeria And Grille. We then have a visit from Santa, Mrs. Clause and five Elves who pass out
Christmas gifts to the children and take family pictures. Each child also receives a special ticket to possibly win
one of six larger age appropriate gifts. We host Christmas Bingo before lunch where the children can win either
Silver dollars, Golden dollars or sometimes a Two dollar bill. The last three years we even had a raffle for the
parents who do not have a Christmas Tree to win one complete with lights and ornaments. There is always
Cookies and Cocoa and last but not least for the last 6 years we have had enough money to purchase $25.00 Gift
Certificates from Chipain’s grocery for each family for their Christmas dinner. The Lemont Classic Car Club
has hosted this event for the past 9 years and hopefully we will continue for many more years to come.
If anyone wishes to contribute to this fund please see any one of the club officers or Ed and Glenda
Anderson. All monies donated to this fund will be used exclusively for the “Little Cruisers” Christmas
party only!!! Thank you Ed and Glenda for all your generous donations to the Lemont Classic Car Club and we
are happy to do this in Ed’s brother’s name.
New Saturday Cruise Night Location For 2015
Starting on Saturday, June 6th, we will be moving our Saturday Night Car Cruise back to our original home
at 159th and Bell Road at the new Big “R” store from 5 to 8 PM. Thanks to our new mayor, George Yukich and
Mr. Gibb, the owner of the Big “R” stores, we are being welcomed back to this location. We have had a couple
of complications getting this years cruise nights started. The latest one is that the Big “R” wants to resurface the
lot before we start. Hopefully this will make the lot so much better for us. We will have to work around the
store’s garden center for the first couple of weeks until it comes down in the end of June. We will be parking in
the south end and around the east curb until the lot opens up and we will have a lot more room. Nick’s Barbecue
and Chesdan’s Pizzeria and Grille are delighted to have us back at this location. As always we appreciate
everything that both of these restaurants do for us and now we can give back to them again. We are looking
forward to welcoming everyone back out on Saturday nights at 159th and Bell Road to start our 2015 Cruise
Night season. Remember it all starts on June 6th, 5 to 8 PM

We need volunteers to come out on Sunday, June 7th, to 168th and Harlem from 11 to 2 PM for a small show

History In The Making
This story is fifty two years in the making!!! Mr. Ralph Rocco has wanted a 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire
since 1963. When he graduated from High School his mother asked him “ so what are you going to do now?
Ralph’s reply was “I’m going to buy a 1962 Starfire.”. Well, many years have passed and Ralph still continued
to yearn for this “special” love of his life searching and not finding any vehicle that satisfied this want. He
purchased a 2002 Chevy Camaro Convertible and a 1967 Cadillac DeVille Convertible but the yearning was
still there for his Olds Starfire. Last year Ralph turned 70 years young and he decided to do something about it.
With the help of several members of the Lemont Classic Car Club, Ralph finally purchased his elusive dream
car.
So let this story be a lesson to everyone.....if you keep
dreaming about a special vehicle and you put your mind to it....that
special vehicle could very well be yours too, just ask Ralph.
Remember, Life is short and you only have so much time here on
earth to do the things that you enjoy, so get out there and find that
special dream car or whatever makes you happy and go for it..
Congratulations Ralph !!! We hope you have many years of happy
motoring in you new 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire........
Thanks To Everyone That Voted In the Homer Glen Election
The Lemont Classic Car Club would like to express our appreciation to everyone that voted for George
Yukich for Mayor, Ann Holtz for Clerk, Beth Rodgers, Carlo Caprio and Christina Neitzke-Trokie for Trustee.
As a result of everyone’s hard work, all of the above candidates won in this election with a clean sweep victory
with over 20 % of the winning votes. Because of this victory the Lemont Classsic Car Club will be going
back to our original home at 159th and Bell Road in Homer Glen for our Saturday Cruise Nights. The “ Big
R” has graciously invited us back to this location thanks to Mr. Gibb and Mayor George Yukich. So Starting
on Saturday, June 6th , 2015 from 5 to 8 PM WERE BACK...........!
Special Car Show At McDonalds
The Lemont Classic Car Club has been asked to host a special Car Show at the Olympia Fields
McDonalds at Rt. 30 and Western Avenue on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM. This will be a FREE
Car Show with a FREE Concert immediately following the show at 8PM with the “Heartache Tonight” Eagles
Tribute band. The awards for the car show will be as follows: 1st place $300.00, 2nd place $200.00 and 3rd
place $100.00 cash. There will also be a raffle for the Show Cars of two $50.00 Gasoline gift cards and
possibly a couple of trophies. This is a great opportunity for our club as they are paying us to host this show
and that money will go to our “Little Cruisers” holiday party. If all goes well, and we get a large turn out, this
could become a yearly event for us and this McDonalds. Please Call Sharen @ 708-301-8899 for more
information and to Register for this special event. There will be NO Saturday Cruise Night on July 11th, 2015
