Club Jackets For Sale
We still have one of our original Light Gray jackets left in a size X-Large at $35.00 for sale. We also
still have some of the club jackets which are black in color with white stripes on the bottom and a
detachable hood in assorted sizes at $40.00 and they do run a little small so you need to order a larger
size than you usually wear. We also have a new style jacket which is black with blue lettering and
graphics. These jackets run pretty true to size. The M, L, and X-Large sizes are $42.00, the XX-Large
size is $45.00 and the XXX-Large size is $48.00. You can come out and try one on for size to see

LCCC Sweatshirts for Sale
The Lemont Classic Car Club also has some royal blue sweatshirt jackets with a hood and a
full zipper up the front for sale. We currently only have a few of these jackets left in size X-large but
we can order more if our members want them. If you wish to place an order for a sweatshirt in your
size call and when we get enough people to sign up we will reorder. The price is $22.00. Call
Sharen @ 708-301-8899 to order a sweatshirt jacket. We also have club hats available in various
colors for $5.00 each.

Drag Plaques Are Still Available
The Lemont Classic Car Club had Drag Plaques made with our club name and logo on them.
The plaque attaches to you back license plate or bumper and is approximately 5" X 9" in size. They are made of
Cast Aluminum and can be painted to match your car. The price is $18.00 . We ordered 60 Drag Plaques and
we only have 10 remaining. If you wish to purchase one please do it quickly because when they are gone they
are gone. We will not be ordering any more. The Lemont Classic Car Club paid the $100.00 set up fee and the
shipping charges so the plaques are being sold at cost with no additional charges. For more information. Call

We Need Volunteers !!!
On Saturday, May 14th, we will be starting our 2016 Cruise Night season. This year we are hoping that
more of our members will be willing to volunteer a couple of hours per night once a month to help keep these
Cruise Nights running smooth. We have positions open for: set up and tear down, working the registration
desk, parking lot pick up, helping to park the vehicles both show cars and spectators cars, collecting the $1.00
on our Donate-A-Dollar nights (only 2 are scheduled), and 50/50 on nights when Bob and Carol will not be in
attendance to name a few. If you could volunteer for one or more nights it would be greatly appreciated. These
are not difficult jobs however they are necessary to keep our Cruise nights going. Please find some time to
volunteer you services and get involved in your car club!!! Please let Sharen know when you are available to

Club Dues Are Past Due For 2016
Dues for 2016 were due on January 1st, 2016. A regular membership is $20.00, an additional spouse or
family member is $10.00 and we now have a Senior discount of $10.00 for anyone who is age 70 or older.
If you joined the club after September of 2015 and already have a yellow membership card you are already
paid for this year. Your dues entitles you to a Club Newsletter 4 times a year, a free Club T-Shirt when you
first join, our Club Picnic for you and your immediate family free, free ads in our Club Newsletter, special
discounts all year from some of our sponsors (see newsletter) and special Club events like the trip to the
Chicago Auto Show in February for Free. Trust me, you get your $20.00 back in benefits. So keep your Club

Newsletter Changes For 2016
Due to the rising cost of stamps and the fact that from December thru April we don’t have many events
we are changing the Newsletter format to be printed 4 times a year in Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter
editions and anyone wishing to read the Newsletter on line instead of on paper please let Sharen know. This
will help save the club some money too. We will now be on line as usual at lemontclassiccarclub.org and we
will also be on Facebook and twitter. Our new facebook address is https://facebook.comLemontCCC. This
will let us update all information for our cruise nights in case of rain and if we need to cancel that nights show
and we will have all new information on up coming events posted much quicker. Thanks to Carl Wilkes,

The Lemont Classic Car Club Welcomed Back To “Big R”
In May we will be returning to the “Big R” for our Saturday Cruise Nights from 5 to 8 PM starting on
the 14th of May and continuing thru the month of September. This year will continue with our car of the month
from June to August and we will continue with our Donate-A-Dollar per car, for Big Run Wolf Ranch on
August 27th at 6 PM and the Cold Blooded Creatures on July 9th, at 5:30 PM with our “Little Cruisers”
Charity Car Show on Saturday, August 6th with a rain date of August 13th from 4 to 8 PM with
registration starting at 3 PM. We have the “Big R’s” O.K. to have the animals on their property. We will
have the Tractor Club come out again this year On the 14th of May. The “Big R” will again be using some
of the front parking lot for their garden shop in early Spring and into the summer and we will have to work
around that. We are just happy to have our original home back again this year. We will be there every Saturday
unless it rains from 5 to 8 PM with a time change on September 3rd from 4 to 7 PM because it gets dark earlier.
Spring Trip To Pete Todo’s Museum
On Saturday, April 16th we will be traveling to Hobart, Indiana to visit Pete Todo’s private museum.
Pete has something for everyone to see......from his beautiful vehicles, to his neon signs, to his bike collection
and more. To those of you that have visited Pete’s before, he always has something new to view. Pete is a
great host and you won’t be disappointed in this trip. Pete has a Pierce Arrow, he has Packards and a Stuts just
to name a few. We have always gone to the 50"s Diner afterwards but we just found out that the 50's Diner
was sold and a Schoops Drive-IN has taken it’s place but we still intend to lunch there after viewing the
museum. What a shame, this 50's Diner was a great place to visit and eat. We will leave the Big R’s parking
lot at 11 AM and arrive at Pete’s about 11:45 AM there is 1 toll on I 80 that we have to pay and the rest is all
freeway. Pete’s museum is in an old 1930's Chrysler dealership at 55 Center Street, Hobart, Indiana. This is a
FREE club event however you may invite guests to attend with you if you like. Please call Sharen @ 708301-8899 if you are planning on attending this Spring road trip.

Summer of 2016 to Be Busy
It’s only April and the Lemont Classic Car Club is already filling up is summer calendar.
People are calling requesting that our members come out and show their vehicles at a
number of retirement homes, the residents enjoy this event so much. W e will again be part of
the Homer parade, we will be hosting the Homer Township Expo Car Show on October 1 st,
and of course our own Charity Car Show for the “Little Cruisers on August 6 th with a rain date
of August 13th . W e will again be hosting our Donate-A-Dollar Nights with Jim Nesci’s Cold
Blooded Creatures and John Basil’s Big Run W olf Ranch. Now, all we need is some great
summer weather and some wonderful volunteers to come out and join us at all of these
events that we have planned. So when you see us advertise the need for vehicles for a
retirement home, which usually includes lunch, please come out and join in the fun. W hen we
participate in the Homer parade come out for the morning. W e line up at 10:30 and the
parade kicks off at 11 AM and we are finished by 11:30 AM. Last year we had a record
number of 15 vehicles in the parade. The Homer Expo Car Show starts at 9 AM and we are
usually finished by 1:30 PM, these are all FREE events......support your car club come out
and join in the fun. The summer flies by so fast, get out and enjoy your car and enjoy the
company of your fellow club members.
