THE MARRIOTT RIVERWALK HOTEL 889 East Market Street San Antonio, Texas 78205 April 29 – may 2, 2013 Members & Sponsors The 2013 Forum will be held at The Marriott Riverwalk Hotel which is located in the heart of downtown San Antonio with sweeping balcony views of the Riverwalk. You can indulge in your choice of historical, cultural or culinary experiences with the rich flavors and intoxicating aromas along the River Walk. The River Walk is commonly referred to as the “world’s largest hotel lobby” allowing you to stay in a safe area of excitement close to the hotel. No need to worry about taking a cab as the area is very walkable and transportation is available via the river taxis. We have negotiated a discounted group rate of $199.00 per room per night which is available 3 days before and 3 days after the meeting. The room rate includes complimentary internet in each sleeping room. Online room reservations are now just a click away with ResLink! Simply enter the link below and you will be directed to the property's home page with the negotiated rate code already entered in the appropriate field enabling you to quickly make room reservations. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/satdt?groupCode=aecaeca&app=resvlink&fromDate=4 /27/13&toDate=5/4/13 If you wish to arrive before 4/27/13 or stay after 5/4/13 you will need to call the hotel at 800 648 4462 for availability. An Evening at the Knibbe Ranch On Tuesday, April 30 the off-site event will be held at Knibbe Ranch in Spring Branch Texas. This is a large ranch owned by the Knibbe family since 1845 after they immigrated from Germany. Chuck Knibbe and his wife Sharon and their children Shannon & Chad manage the ranch and have partnered with the Marriott to create a Marriott Destination. The event will be managed and catered by expert planners and coordinators with the Marriott organization. We will be transported from the Marriott Riverwalk Hotel to the Knibbe Ranch. Upon arrival guests will be met and given a photo opportunity featuring the Texas Longhorn cattle who call the ranch home followed by a tour of the ranch where guests will see the Texas Longhorns, Tiger Stripe cattle, prehistoric nomadic Indian sites and archeological history and a buffalo jump used by these Indian tribes. http://www.knibberanch.com/ Beverages can be enjoyed on the decks and patios overlooking the Texas Hill Country. Dinner will be served in the dining room after which we can enjoy time around the roaring campfire. 1 The Educational Committee is working to put together the program and speakers. As usual this will be an opportunity to network with other consultants and the vendors in our industry while hearing from industry experts on a variety of subjects. This time of year should be beautiful in San Antonio. If you plan on coming early or staying on after the meetings, these are a few events to consider: April 18-28: Fiesta San Antonio More than 100 unique events satisfy every taste and interest and draw spectators from around the city, nation and world. Since 1891 when the first Fiesta event, the Battle of Flowers, honored the memory of our Texas heroes, Fiesta has expanded the initial commemoration to include the recognition and celebration of San Antonio's rich and diverse cultures. May 5: Cinco de Mayo Celebrations commemorate the Mexican Army's defeat of the invading French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Events include a festival with music and food at historic Market Square, concerts and other commemorations. For more information visit www.visitsanantonio.com. Looking forward to your participation.
