The diverse languages are the various ways they can witness to Christ: in humility, in poverty, in patience and in obedience. We speak these “languages” when others see us putting these virtues into practice. When deeds speak, words are vibrant with life. I beg you, let us not speak only in words, but also in deeds. Blessed indeed are they who speak not according to their own spirit but speak according to the Holy Spirit. Let us therefore speak as the Holy Spirit gives us to speak, asking the Spirit to devoutly infuse us with grace. –St. Anthony, Sermon for the Feast of Pentecost Let us pray… O good Saint Anthony, Doctor of the Gospels, guide me through the Scriptures so that I may walk in the way of the new evangelization by living and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ! Amen. Each candle is lit for a year, beginning on St. Anthony’s Feast Day, June 13. Your intention is printed on a plaque, placed on the front of the candle.
