Page 7 St. Athanasius Church April 10, 2016 TERCER DOMINGO DE PASCUA TOMADO DE LA PALABRA ENTRE NOSOTROS: Hasta el momento , Pedro se había Ganado la vida como pescador saca del agua lo que no ha cultivado. En cambio , el pastor se interesa especialmente por los corderos mas pequeños y débiles. El future del rebaño depende del crecimiento de estos corderos , así que el pastor se preocupa de que se alimenten bien y los protégé de los animales feroces. Lo que Jesús le dijo a Pedro también puede aplicarse a la misión que recibimos todos los cristianos de ser testigos del Evangelio. Jesús sabe muy bien que hay en el mundo una inmensa cantidad de gente solitaria, enferma y marginada. Tales personas sufren de un enorme vacío y hambre espiritual , que sólo puede ser saciado por Cristo. De modo que era necesario que Pedro adoptara su nuevo oficio de “Pescador de Hombres” y “ Pastor de las Ovejas” de Jesús, una nueva misión que tanto él como sus sucesores han cumplido a través de los siglos: “ Apacienta mis ovejas” Muchos son los que buscan el sentido de la vida en un mundo lleno de angustia y frustración; son como los corderos que necesitan ser alimentados. El Buen Pastor quiere que nosotros les demos a conocer la Buena nueva. No hace falta tener una gran educación, riquezas , elocuencia o influencia para compartir el Evangelio. Lo importante es ser compasivos y amar de Corazón a Dios y al projimo. Acerquémonos , pues a Cristo para que él nos colme de su amor. Este es el propósito de nuestra vida aquí en la tierra. Cuando Jesús nos pregunta si lo amamos, lo hace no para condenarnos, sino para hacernos ver lo imperfecto que suele ser el amor humano y para invitarnos a dejar que su amor nos transforme , y así lleguemos a amarlo más. The Society is dedicated to the Blessed Mother, the growth of the love of God through Mary. We honor the Blessed Mother by the constant and reverent praying of the rosary in our daily life.
