He is moving to Nashville, TN. where he will concentrate on composing music.

Religious Education News
The Religious Education Office will close on Thursday, June 23, 2016. If you have not
registered your child for the 2016-2017 school year, please do so at this time!
Registration Schedule:
Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and
Sunday June 12, 2016 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A New Registration Form must be completed for ALL PRESENT STUDENTS
as well as for new students to our program.

at our Shrine to Saint Anthony of Padua
A person filled with the Holy Spirit speaks in diverse languages. The diverse languages are the various ways they can witness to Christ: in humility, in poverty, in patience and in obedience. We speak
these “languages” when others see us putting these virtues into practice. When deeds speak, words
are vibrant with life. I beg you, let us not speak only in words, but also in deeds. Blessed indeed are
they who speak not according to their own spirit but speak according to the Holy Spirit. Let us therefore speak as the Holy Spirit gives us to speak, asking the Spirit to devoutly infuse us with grace.

PROCESSIONE ANNUALE IN ONORE DI SAN ANTONIO

Riflessione del mese di giugno
DIO È COME LO ZUCCHERO
Mancavano cinque minuti alle 16. Trenta bambini, tutti
della quinta elementare, quel pomeriggio, erano
eccezionalmente irrequieti, agitati, emozionati, chiassosi,
rumorosi. Alle ore 16 in punto arrivò la maestra per
iniziare l'esame scritto di catechismo: i promossi
sarebbero stati ammessi alla prima comunione,
esattamente una settimana dopo. Immediatamente un
silenzio generale piombó nella sala dove erano seduti i
bambini in attesa delle domande.
Prima domanda: "Chi mi sa dire con parole sue chi è
Dio?", cominció a dettare la maestra.
Seconda domanda: "Come fate a sapere che Dio esiste,
se nessuno l'ha mai visto?".
Dopo venti minuti, tutti avevano consegnate le risposte.
La maestra lesse ad una ad una le prime ventinove;
erano piú o meno ripetizione di parole dette e ascoltate
molte volte:
"Dio è nostro Padre, ha fatto la terra, il mare e tutto ciò
che esiste" Le risposte erano esatte, per cui si erano
guadagnati la promozione alla Prima Comunione.
Poi chiamò Ernestino, un piccolo vispo bambino biondo,
lo fece avvicinare al suo tavolo e gli consegnò il suo
foglietto, dicendogli di leggerlo ad alta voce davanti a tutti
i suoi compagni. Ernestino, temendo una pesante
umiliazione davanti a tutta la classe, con la conseguente
bocciatura, cominciò a piangere. La maestra lo rassicurò
e lo incoraggiò.
Singhiozzando Ernestino lesse:
"Dio è come lo zucchero che la mamma ogni mattina
scioglie nel latte per prepararmi la colazione. Io non vedo
lo zucchero nella tazza, ma se la mamma non lo mette,
ne sento subito la mancanza. Ecco, Dio è così, anche se
non lo vediamo. Se lui non c'è la nostra vita è amara, è
senza gusto".
Un applauso forte riempì l'aula e la maestra ringraziò
Ernestino per la risposta così originale, semplice e vera.
Poi completò: "Vedete bambini, ciò che ci fa saggi non è
il sapere molte cose, ma l'essere convinti che Dio fa parte
della nostra vita".
Se la nostra vita è amara, forse è perché manca lo
zucchero...

TOMADO DE LA PALABRA ENTRE NOSOTROS
Por qué se acercó Jesús al cortejo fúnebre del
joven fallecido, hijo único de una viuda? Sin
duda, su compasión por los que sufren y los
necesitados le movió a hacerlo. Cuando se
encontró con un leproso , lo tocó y lo sanó por
que “sintió compasión”. Cuando los discipulos
trataron de impedir que los niños se le
acercaran, su ternura lo movió a recibirlos . Asi
mismos , la compasión por la viuda lo llevó a
socorrerla.
Nosotros también hemos estado contaminados
Con la lepra del pecado, espiritualmente
muertos sin esperanza. Pero Jesús tuvo
compasión de nosotros y , por su muerte en la
cruz , nos resucitó de la muerte para darnos la
vida nueva. Del mismo modo que los habitantes
de Naín alabaron a Dios al presenciar tan
magnífico milagro, también nosotros podemos
regocijarnos y alabar al Señor por la obra de
renovación que está haciendo en nuestro medio. Por su gran misericordia , Dios decidió
rescatarnos, congregarnos a su lado y
manifestarnos su amor, para que aceptemos su
salvación de todo corazón “ Nosotros amamos
porque él nos amó primero”
Querido amigo en Cristo , te sugiero esta vez
que escribas las diversas ocasiones en que haz
experimentado la compasión y la ternura de
Dios. Recuerda el dia de tu entrega a Cristo,
cuando el Señor te rescató de la muerte por
medio de la cruz, y le dió una nueva vida en el
Espíritu Santo. Trata de recordar los hechos
concretos en los que usted supo que Cristo le
estaba dando consuelo , sabiduría y Fortaleza.
Piensa en tus familiars y en cómo los ha
protegido Dios , los creyentes, que hemos
recibido tan sublime amor y gracia, estamos
ahora llamados a compartir ese amor con los
que nos rodean. Pidámosle al Espíritu Santo
que nos enseñe a amar como Jesús ama,para
que seamos Buenos testigos de Cristo.

Rosary Society
The Rosarians welcome all women of the Parish. The Society is dedicated to the Blessed Mother, the growth of the
love of God through Mary. We honor the Blessed Mother by
the constant and reverent praying of the rosary in our daily
life.
We are involved in all Parish activities, liturgical and social –
and keep informed about civic community activities.
Spiritual activities include an Annual Retreat, Annual Communion Breakfast and Baby Shower for Unwed Mothers.
The Society raises money to help our Church continue outreach efforts. The fundraisers include: Christmas Fair, Basket Night, Chinese Auction.
We attend the 10:00am Mass on the Third Sunday of the
month (except July & August) followed by a meeting & light
breakfast in the School.
