Come with us to visit the radically
sustainable Earthship community
and then to a very personal
collection reflecting a love of
Northern New Mexico art.
The Earthship Biotecture community near the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is part of a globally embraced movement.
These low-cost buildings of natural and recycled materials are totally off-grid, with sustainable food and electricity production, plus water and sewage recycling. The homes we visit will include that of Judy Sutton with a folk art collection.
After a late lunch at the historic Old Martina’s Hall (with a fiber artists’ show), we visit the home and gardens of Jerry
Walter and Rick Finney. A small chapel housing a remarkable assemblage of religious folk art highlights their extensive
Northern New Mexico art collection. This eclectic collection reflects a joyfully exuberant celebration of art acquisition.
$60 per person. Members only event. Reserve now as space is limited!
