pen Streets Hamilton is the product of local neighbourhood associations, businesses, environmental
organizations and city departments working together to promote the use of walking,
cycling and public transit in the city. It’s
also used as a way to highlight the great
work being done in the city to create a safe,
healthy and sustainable future for everyone.
For the first time our event also includes
an extended location at McMaster University and Sterling Street, in partnership with
Westdale Village and the Ainslie Woods/
Westdale Community Association. We
would like to thank McMaster Univeristy,
Westdale Village and the Ainslie Woods/
Westdale Community Association for their
support and contributions to our project!
Our September event includes over 3 kilometres of car-free streets for pedestrians,
cyclists, scooters, skateboards, wheelchairs,
games, and activities. Special events and
programming will be taking place throughout the street, and we would like to thank all
our participants and partners for their amazing contributions.
