This special section is your guide to the winning businesses or things to do in each category. We profile the top three places in each category and name honorable mentions when numbers were close. The Lima News presented a ballot with 40 categories on which to vote. Ballots were available at limaohio.com and in the newspaper itself. The rules: The businesses or locations needed to be within a seven-county region — Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Putnam or Van Wert counties.
