An excellent location
Bordering Germany and the Netherlands and within easy
reach of France and Luxemburg, Liege is only a one-hour drive
from Brussels, the capital of Europe.

Leader in transport and logistics
• Rail : The Liege Guillemins Train Station is located on the
high-speed rail line linking Cologne to London and Paris.
Also a hub for rail cargo, Liege will soon host the Euro
Carex Project, a brand new high-speed freight transport
system.
• Air : Liege Airport, open 24h/24h, is the first European
airport to have built its strategy on the development of
« full cargo » traffic. It is in the top ten among the European
cargo airports. It allows loading/unloading within 100
minutes. It also accommodates corporate aircraft.
It is home to the European hub of TNT that serves
international destinations such as Dubai, Hong Kong,
Shanghai and New York and offers overnight service and
late pick-up times.

• Water : The Port of Liege is one of the top three inland ports in
Europe. It is ideally located upstream from four major North Sea
ports: Antwerp, Zeebrugge, Rotterdam and Dunkirk.
Liege Trilogiport is located along the Albert Canal which connects
Liege to Antwerp (14 hours of navigation) and Rotterdam (24
hours of navigation). It aims at offering European distribution
centers premises next to a container terminal.
• Road : Liege is at the heart of a major road network, a junction
of 7 highways that provide easy access to France, Germany, the
Netherlands and Luxembourg.
• Multimodal : Multimodal platforms combining 2 or 3 means of
transport are present near the airport or along the waterways
(Liege Logistics, Renory container terminal,…).
Excellence center
• Liege is a renowned research and innovation pole within the
excellence clusters hosted in Wallonia such as : aerospace,
agro-industry, mechanical engineering, health, transport and
logistics, sustainable materials and automotive.
• Culture and leisure are not to be forgotten with the opera,
the royal philharmonic orchestra, the racetrack Circuit de Spa
Francorchamps, as well as a rich, local folklore.
