Montérégie This , the Apple Sweet Talks the Montérégie! www.tourisme-monteregie.qc.ca In collaboration with: and Montérégie T he Montérégie region acquired its name from the Monteregian hills that characterize its landscape. Its rich soil, the many rivers that crisscross its territory and its privileged climate are some of the reasons why the region is considered one of the birthplaces of agriculture in Québec. In fact, one of the region’s cities, Rougemont, has been dubbed the Apple Capital of the world. Head off the main roads and explore the country roads; you will discover orchards and cider mills that are the pride of the region. Enjoy a freshly-picked apple, sample a delicious cider and other sweet pleasures made by our local producers, or savour a meal in a restaurant whose menu showcases the apple and its flavours: these are just some of Montérégie’s wonderful fall offerings.
