P
ort Authority employees
know all about generosity.
They have proven it over
the years with their contributions to
a number of good causes, not
least of which is the Port Authority
Employees Charitable Contributions
Campaign.
In this year’s holiday season, the
need is greater than ever. Please
contribute as much as you can.
The campaign ends December 10.
Delta Expansion Under Way at JFK
Port Authority, Delta Air
Lines, and JFKIAT officials
broke ground November 19
for the $1.2 billion expansion
of JFK’s Terminal 4. The new
space in Terminal 4 will
replace Delta’s international
terminal, Terminal 3, and
will boast nine new gates on
the B Concourse, enhanced
baggage claim areas, and
an expanded Customs and Border Protection area.
Whence It Came
Retiree Peter Rinaldi displays
the piece of Carrara marble that
he recovered at the World Trade
Center after 9/11 and later sent
on behalf of the Port Authority
to the City of Carrara, Italy, for
its 9/11 memorial. Mr. Rinaldi
visited in October to see the
memorial and meet the city
officials who were involved,
including Carrara Mayor Angelo
Zubbani and Cultural Affairs
Counselor Giovanna Bernardini
(also pictured). The marble,
which was used to line the
WTC lobbies, came from the
mountains behind them.

as love and generosity and devotion exist…”
