The Polynesian Cultural Center is a non-profit organization
dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of Polynesia while
providing scholarships for hundreds of Polynesian students
attending the adjacent university. After completing their
education, many return to their native islands to provide
needed services and skills.

Take a tour of the town of La-ie and visit
Brigham Young Universiy - Hawai i, then enjoy
the beauty and serenity of the Temple Visitor's
Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Often called the "Taj Mahal of the
Pacific," the Hawaiian temple was the first LDS
temple built outside of the continental United
States built by the Church.

The Mission Settlement includes the Mission Home,
School House and Chapel. Contributions that the
Christian missionaries made in Hawai i include housing
and education. They introduced quilting which the
Hawaiians adapted to their own art form. Observe
our heirloom quilts,
handmade crafts and
quilts for sale.
