Transports/Industries/Strenghts/Services Supplied/Products/Main Clients /Main References Transports Products Easy Push-Button Panel Direction command and cancellation on railway and metro railway. Release of routes blocked by direction commands. Unbalance indicator (RdS) Signalling Railway The Unbalance Indicator checks that the components of the 50 Hz (or 83,3 Hz) current in the inductors of the reception induction boxes do not assume an unbalance higher than a fixed value; on the contrary, it forces down the track circuit relays, blocking the corresponding signal. Recognition echoes near object system (RENOsystem) The RENOsystem (Recognition Echoes Near Object System) is a system addressed to monitor and report in a continuous way, or on demand, the stability and safety of bridges. Level Crossing Locking System (SICHPIL) It sends a closing command to a damaged level crossing by the engine driver’s mobile phone, avoiding the intervention of third parties and thereby reducing the delays caused on normal rail traffic. Transports/Industries/Strenghts/Services Supplied/Products/Main Clients /Main References Transports Products Railway Maintenance Optimization System (SIOMAFE) It optimizes the maintenance operations of the yard and line devices through automation of the procedures for the deactivation or the reactivation of devices. Home signal It allows the entry of the train in station, even if the external signal is switched off or if indicates track closed. Optical fiber indicator Signalling Railway Indicators for auxiliary information for the drivers. The device used distinct fibre bundles for each required information to be transmitted. Lamp indicator These devices have bayonet holder and converging lens for the luminous beam. Stabilization device Device used by railway operators for remote-controlled systems. It is used for the locking and the release of deactivate routes along line and in station. RL key box Device used by railway operators for Automatic Block systems. It is used to decrease the track code and, as a consequence, the relative speed during maintenance works along line. It is placed in correspondence with automatic block signals. Energy Saving/Industries/Phovoltaic Systems/Main References /LED Lighting Devices/Services Supplied/Products/Certification BUSINESS AREAS TARGETS DESIGN CONTROL HW & SW VERIFICATION & VALIDATION RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT SITE has a department exclusively dedicated R&D TARGETS CONCEPT > DEVELOPMENT > APPROVALS R&D has the fundamental aim of proposing new ideas and developing them to bring solutions to the status of approved products. The industry areas of involvement of R&D range from the tradition sector of the company: Railway – Communications to latest ones: Environment - Infrastructure Research & Development DESIGN CONTROL SITE designs, develops and markets safety critical systems for railway signalling. Development of Sil4 Products COSTUMER NEEDS To ensure the achievement of the products’ quality and safety targets, their development process is managed under design control. Risk management process integrated into the design and development process, in complinace with CEI EN 50126. RISK MANAGEMENT RAM & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS DESIGN INPUT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT PROCESS VERIFICATION VALIDATION Research & Development DESIGN OUTPUT SAFETY CRITICAL SYSTEM HW & SW SAFETY CONTROL SYSTEMs The railway signalling equipments manufactured by SITE are carachterized by HW and SW subsystems which meet the following standards: • CEI EN 50128 – Railway system software for control and protection; • CEI EN 50129 – Electronic security systems for signaling. Design and development of hardware based on architectures and techniques which allow to defend the system against random failures: • Intrinsic safety; • Reactive safety; • Composite safety. The integration of SW supports the implementation of Reactive and composite safety techniques and introduces great flexibility into the implementation of system functions. The defense against SW systematic errors is obtained using techniques such as: • Defensive programming, codes of error detection, Failure Assertion Programming; Diversified Programming; • Segregation of sw characterized by different SIL; • Use of validated compilers. Research & Development Verification & validation AND RAMS Activities of static and dynamic verification (review of documents; visual inspection; testing) ensure a control of the intermediate results of all phases of design and development: • hw & sw unit testing unit testing; • hw & sw integration testing, integration testing; • hw/sw integration testing. The validation of the project ensures the execution of all phases of the lifecycle in accordance with the requirements prescribed by CENELEC. The validation of the product (first in the laboratory and then in the field) provides all the evidence that the system meets all customer requirements and applicable standards. The process of Safety & Ram management through the use of techniques such as: HAZOP, FMEA / FMECA, FTA and methods of reliability prediction. Guarantees: • c ertitude that your system has a lower probability than a tolerable limit (thr, tolerable hazard rate) to cause a serious accident; • values of reliability, maintainability and availability to meet customer requirements.
